Stayed at I-Residence Hotel Silom and overall had good experience.
What I liked:
• Excellent location (very near BTS station)
• Superb & delicious breakfast
• Spacious, clean, comfortable room
• Clean and functional bathroom
• Friendly & accommodating staff
• Free welcome drinks
• Amazing rooftop pool with view of King Power Mahanakhon Tower
Needs improvement:
• WiFi connection — very weak / not accessible in room, café, or pool area
• Would really appreciate stable and working WiFi
Would stay again for the location and comfort, but hope WiFi improves.

Arrived at 7pm and was told that the room was fully booked. So they transferred us to Furama Exclusive nearby for 1 night and upgrated our room and upgrade with breakfast. It was a good experience and good customer service. We extended to 2 more nights and they also gave special price. The room is spacious and clean w comfy beds. Will stay there again.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a very comfortable and pleasant experience overall. From the moment I arrived, the hotel gave a welcoming impression. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were polite and professional. The atmosphere of the hotel felt calm and well organized, making it a nice place to relax after a long day of traveling or exploring the area.
One of the things I appreciated most during my stay was the comfort of the room. The room was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed to provide everything a guest might need. The bed was very comfortable, and the lighting in the room created a relaxing atmosphere. It was easy to unwind and rest after a busy day. The room also came with a full set of useful facilities, which made the stay even more convenient. Everything was well maintained and worked properly, which gave me a sense that the hotel pays attention to the details that matter to guests.
Another positive aspect of the hotel is the overall convenience of the facilities provided. While many hotels place amenities directly inside the room, this hotel has a slightly different system. Certain amenities are available upon request, and guests can simply call the front desk to have them delivered. At first, this might seem a little unusual, but in practice it was not a problem at all. The staff responded quickly and were happy to assist. This system may even help reduce unnecessary waste, as guests only receive the items they actually need.
The hotel’s location is also a major advantage. It is situated in a very convenient area that makes it easy to travel to nearby attractions, restaurants, and other places of interest. Whether you are visiting for business or leisure, the location allows you to move around the area without much difficulty. Having such a good location definitely adds to the overall value of staying here.
Another feature that I found especially convenient was the parking situation. Unlike many hotels where parking space can be limited or difficult to find, this hotel provides a large parking area for guests. There were plenty of parking spaces available, which made arriving by car very easy and stress-free. For travelers who drive, this is definitely a big advantage and something that makes the stay much more comfortable.
Throughout my stay, the hotel maintained a quiet and relaxing environment. The combination of comfortable rooms, helpful staff, and convenient facilities made the experience enjoyable. Even though some amenities need to be requested from the front desk, the process is quick and simple, so it does not cause any inconvenience.
Overall, this hotel offers a comfortable stay with complete room facilities, a convenient location, and plenty of parking space. The staff are helpful and attentive, and the atmosphere of the hotel makes it easy to relax. I would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers who are looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay.

I've stayed here many times. This time, I was in room 317 and the air conditioning was broken, so I woke up sweating. After speaking with them, they moved me to room 403. The front desk service at check-in was excellent. However, one evening I went downstairs for a smoke and left my room key inside. When I asked the front desk for a new key, explaining I'd left the old one in the room, the slim girl there was completely expressionless and had a very bad attitude. She didn't even respond when I thanked her. Everything else was great! I hope they'll change up the breakfast; staying for over 20 days straight, the variety is really limited.

This hotel offers decent value for money. The fridge in the room was broken and didn't cool at all, but since I only returned to the hotel late every night, I didn't bother asking for a new room or a replacement fridge. Although the hotel is a bit old, for 500 baht a night, you can't really complain! There are lots of massage places nearby, and there's even a Thai cooking school next door, which I highly recommend.

The staff who helped me check in were all very friendly. The room decor was quite new, but the soundproofing was a bit lacking. The service was excellent, and the downstairs restaurant was a great spot for a drink in the evening with a lovely atmosphere. There was a really sweet male waiter in the restaurant; every night when I was working late and ordering food on the first floor, he would encourage me. Thank you!

Reception made arrangements for me to be able to check in earlier than normal. They are friendly and helpful.
The room was larger than expected and very pleasant with good amenities like a good size fridge.
One morning we had a problem with the water heating for the shower and they came immediately and fixed it. The same happened when the toilet was not flushing properly. They can immediately and fixed it.
I noticed after check out that I had accidentally left a couple of items in the room. I have emailed asking if they would save them for me until my return in June.
The place was a very pleasant experience and I'm very happy that I stayed there.

I chose to stay here mainly to visit the King Power Mahanakhon building. The hotel is right next to the MRT station, and directly across from King Power Mahanakhon itself. The ticket prices have gone up; it's now 1100 THB for a non-sunset ticket and 1200 THB for a sunset ticket, which is sold after 4:30 PM. Previously, non-sunset tickets were 888 THB and sunset tickets were 1088 THB. If you want to experience Bangkok's city views and nightlife, I highly recommend staying here. There's also a small alley nearby with convenient dining options, and Patpong Night Market (which is essentially the heart of Silom) is just a few hundred meters away. The room was decent. The rooms facing the road have balconies and double-glazed windows, so there's absolutely no noise. Definitely recommended!

I received the room I've requested such as quiet room, non smoking and child-free. The location is close by BTS which is convenient to travel around. There's no disturbance in term of sound and malfunction devices. Everything works perfectly. Moreover, there's restaurant nearby if you're hungry.

Amazing
Ttan lip cheowThe checkin is fast and seamless and room is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing deliciously with Christmas special, a wide spread to choose Thai, Japanese and Western. The Pastry is a must try for sweet tooth’s. Location is perfect, as we just to walk 10mins to both Siam Paragon or Central Embassy. BTS is right outside and if you need a prayer at Doorstep of Erawan shine. Suggest to choose a higher floor room, as it can be noisy road traffic.
TtriplecccharlieRight in the heart of Silom, location wise it is fantastic. Rooms were generally clean and I believe they've recently been renovated. Housekeeping will only change the bath towels daily, general cleaning of the room and make the bed however I believe the sheets are not changed everyday. There is a tremendous layer of dust beneath the bed and the tables in general had stains from previous tenants. The hotel is at best 4 stars but closer to 3.5; all staff members were exceptionally helpful however there's just something missing that I can't seem to pinpoint that gives it the 5 star ambience. Lovely on site restaurants such as the Ruenton serving their iconic chicken rice however skip their highly expensive (AUD$80) breakfast buffet unless it is included in the price and instead go to the many amazing cafes located in Silom. The pool is covered in shade from late morning so don't expect to sun tan. Comfortable enough stay however expectations need to be managed.
GGuest UserI was quite anxious when I arrived, as many reviews mentioned the hotel being old and dated. However, after staying for three days, I have to commend this hotel! 1. The lobby is opulent, and 'rich and varied' doesn't even begin to describe the spread at breakfast. 2. The service is exceptional; they are basically ready to help with anything you need. There's always someone to open the door when you enter the lobby, and the front desk and room service are fantastic! When I checked out, they helped me book a taxi to the airport, which was cheaper than both Grab and Trip.com, costing only 500 Thai Baht (to Don Mueang Airport). 3. The gym is huge, easily over 400 square meters, with all sorts of equipment and dedicated staff. I didn't get to use the pool, but there were lots of kids enjoying it. 4. The hotel's location is convenient, right next to an MRT station. Although it's about 6-7km from the main tourist attractions, for this price, service, and facilities, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. Book with confidence! In the evenings, there's a night market nearby, mostly frequented by locals, offering great value for money. If you turn right outside, there's a 'Chinatown' street with all kinds of delicious food.
KKantabuliyazhangchangzongI was quite hesitant about this hotel after reading the reviews, but after staying there, I can say its location is excellent, right by the river. The biggest selling point is definitely the riverside access, especially the free shuttle boat. This shuttle can take you to S-pier, which connects to all the major blue and orange line attractions. Taking the metro isn't the most convenient option, but you can also get to S-pier and transfer there. From my window, I could see the Ferris wheel, and there's a night market right downstairs. However, the shuttle service ends at 9 PM, which is a big drawback, as it's about a 5-minute walk from there. Also, if you're close to the river at night, you might hear the rumble of boats in the middle of the night.
While the hotel facilities are a bit old, they're not dirty. I loved the bed – it was incredibly soft and comfortable; I honestly didn't want to get up! The beds are huge. Even though they're single beds, two pushed together are bigger than beds in China, easily sleeping three people. I skipped the hotel breakfast as I'd already spent a lot of money these past few days. In the afternoon, there's hot coffee in the lobby, which is a nice touch (though it's the only one). They also have iced water, chrysanthemum tea, and roselle tea, plus some biscuits. In the mornings, there are croissants and hot coffee that you can take with you. It's like a simple meal, and it's not bad at all. One of the front desk staff speaks Chinese, so communication wasn't an issue.
The hotel requires a deposit, as it's a major international brand. The bottled water in the room is complimentary and NSF certified, so feel free to drink up. The razor provided was quite good, and the water pressure in the shower was strong. From 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM, there's a singer performing in the lobby, which you can discreetly listen to. There's also legitimate massage available outside. If you get hungry at night, there's a 7-Eleven and some street food stalls about 50 to 100 meters away. I wouldn't say the food is amazing or terrible, but you can try the oyster omelet. As for the swimming pool, it's actually quite nice, being on the first floor and very spacious. If your main goal is to explore along the river, this hotel is perfect. However, if you're looking to frequent places like Nana, this location might not be ideal.
GGuest UserThe hostel is very modern and generally clean. The staff are very accommodating. The bed I was assigned to had a broken towel rack and ants around the bed and the staff immediately agreed to switch beds for me. While there were fewer ants at the new bed, there was a baby cockroach running around the locker portion of the bed. It was late and my last night when I saw the cockroach so I didn't bother asking for a change but I do think better pest control could be something the hostel should look into.
GGuest UserI spent 17 nights at this hotel and couldn’t be happier with my choice for a remote work and vacation stay. The room has a spacious desk where I could work comfortably, and the internet speed was consistently fast. The bed was also very comfortable. I had no trouble falling asleep at all. I’d say it’s on par with the bed at Parkroyal Collection Pickering in Singapore. The room was clean and a decent size, and the shower had strong water pressure. Locationwise, it’s about a 20-minute walk to Sala Daeng BTS or Lumphini MRT. While it may not be very close to public transport for some, one of the best things about the location is that it’s surrounded by many great restaurants to suit different budgets. In fact, the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had is just a five-minute walk from the hotel.Special thanks to Mr. Kelly from the reception team for providing exceptional service and helping me with any issues during my stay.
EExpat EDventuresWe had a very pleasant stay at Somerset Sukhumvit 71 Bangkok. Check-in was easy and smooth with welcome infused water, and the on-site café was excellent, with delicious breakfast pastries. The beds were firm and clean, the room was comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job cleaning and making our beds daily. We also appreciated that both of our rooms were booked next to each other, which made travelling as a family much easier. Our fourteen-year-old’s bed was already made up upon arrival, which was a thoughtful touch.
John, the concierge, was outstanding. He managed to book a same-day bike tour for our family of six and also kindly arranged our airport transfer. His service truly stood out and made our stay even better.
Our only disappointment was New Year’s Eve. We had planned to ring in the new year at the rooftop venue, but it was fully booked. I had messaged the hotel in advance through the Trip app but didn’t receive a response. Instead, we followed a restaurant recommendation from the front desk, only to arrive 56 minutes before closing and be told the kitchen was already closed. Two other nearby restaurants were also closed, so we ended up grabbing snacks from the 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel kindly unlocked our balcony so we could at least watch the fireworks from our room.
The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, and the pool area is also very nice, although the water was quite cold, so we didn’t swim. The location is a bit far out, but overall, we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and booked a third night. A great hotel with excellent service, especially from the concierge, and we would happily stay again.
GGuest UserHad a great stay at Holiday Inn Bangkok. The location is very convenient and close to the main areas. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Check-in and check-out process was smooth. Overall a pleasant experience and a good choice for travelers visiting Bangkok.
AAnasdanWe stayed at this hotel for two nights.
Cons
The rooms are very outdated. Furniture, walls, corners, and the bathroom show visible wear and damage. The rooms clearly need renovation.
The photos on the listing do not reflect the current condition of the rooms. They look much newer than they actually are.
A stove was listed as an amenity, but in reality it was not usable — it was covered with a fixed wooden panel and could not be opened.
There is no tea or coffee in the room, despite a coffee machine being shown in the photos. Tea is available at the reception during daytime only.
The air conditioner is very noisy. It is controlled via a wall panel (no remote control) with limited settings, and even on the lowest mode the noise is noticeable.
There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom, so steam stays in the room after showering unless the door is opened.
The TV offers only Thai channels. There is no Smart TV and no option to connect a phone.
The kitchen area has a sink, cabinets, and basic dishes, but it is not functional due to the lack of a stove.
Despite cleaning, the room looks visually worn because of the overall condition of the walls and ceiling.
Pros
The bed is comfortable, with two pillows per person.
Clean bed linen.
The bathroom was clean, with good water pressure.
The room includes a new hairdryer, a refrigerator, dishes, and cutlery.
There is a balcony facing the courtyard, where smoking is allowed.
The staff were polite and helpful. The receptionist spoke good English and explained everything clearly, and the housekeeping staff were also very friendly.
The hotel provides a golf cart shuttle to nearby shopping malls.
The location is convenient, close to M-Sphere, Emporium, and the M District, which was the main reason we chose this hotel.
Overall
Suitable for a short stay of one night.
The main drawback is the outdated rooms and mismatch with the photos.
The location and staff are the hotel’s strongest points.

AAnonymous UserA good location for travellers looking for a quieter neighbourhood compared to the usual sukhumvit experience, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
1. Gets really inaccesible to convenience stores (they do sell limited options of snacks - at a surcharge of course)
2. Engaged their laundry services, almost couldn’t get it back and wanted to bill me an additional fee to get it back in time for me to checkout and catch my flight. Turns out one of my pants was damaged along the way but made no comments about it till I found out. Didn’t pursue this matter as I have to catch a flight, no time to look for resolutions.
3. Was back at the hotel one of the days slightly earlier at 4:30pm, to my dismay the room wasn’t cleaned, the crew only came by at 5:30pm and offered to clean the room but it wasn’t convenient for me (I was half asleep too). Subsequently took a mental note that I can’t be back at the hotel till at least 7pm if I need my room to be cleaned
Your experience may vary, but certainly not one of the experience I was thinking I would received.
