"This newly opened gem feels more like a premium boutique space than a regular guesthouse. The shared kitchen and common spaces are absolutely gorgeous and functional. Plus, free luggage storage allowed me to explore the city hassle-free on my last day!"
"The room was clean and comfortable and has everything required for a solo traveller. The location is great, just 2mins walk from the DDP subway exit, and the station has 3 different lines which provides easy access to anywhere. Would strongly recommend this accomodation to anyone who just wants a comfortable place to stay anddoesn’t need too much space!"
"I have to say as a first time sole female traveler— I always travel solo and I must say! this place is a gem! Lemme tell you first, the entrance to the hotel is at the side (I am bad with directions)… if you come late and the mall is close, face left and entrance is just at the side lol. In front of the hotel, there are lots of restaurants and you can always eat as solo traveler. Lots of choices and good foods. Lots of street market vendors if you just walk 1-2minutes and love this. I initially dont like the room (because of the view) (I only book places for their views tbh) as I have initially asked for a good view room on my request and all ;; and as what was advertised but it is my mistake for not booking city view room but I saw on some reviews they got nice city view room; and had to ask for a change because I stayed for 6nights. They advised as it was late, they have got no rooms available and informed me they will change on the next day. They promptly changed it on the morning itself saving me the time in to initially checking out and wait for availability. They were really quick in addressing the concerns I have and was very helpful. Really appreciate it as a first timer visitor in the city. Will definitely come back to this hotel and will book city view room next because so worth it!!!! Thank you for being so kind and helpful ❤️❤️ DDP is just 5mins walk and was so mesmerised! I have got the trail view and the trail is just so pretty! Will include the pictures of the trail! Once you got on the trail, you can see Namsan Tower as well! Very very wonderful stay!"
"You can really tell this hotel just opened recently. Everything from the interior aesthetic to the amenities is top-notch. The common kitchen area is great for a quick breakfast before heading out. 100% satisfied!"
"I had a wonderful stay at ION Hotel Dongdaemun! The hotel itself was clean, cozy, and conveniently located, but what truly made my experience exceptional was the staff—especially one incredibly kind team member who went above and beyond for me. On the day of my departure, it was raining heavily, and I had two large suitcases. Without hesitation, a staff member stepped outside in the rain to help me load my luggage into the Uber. He didn’t have to do that—it was above and beyond his duty, but he did it with such kindness and care. That small act of generosity truly touched me and left a lasting impression. The service throughout my stay was warm, professional, and thoughtful. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, and I felt safe and welcomed as a solo traveler. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seoul. It’s not just a place to sleep, it’s a place where you’ll feel genuinely cared for. Thank you, ION Hotel Dongdaemun, for your hospitality!"
"The staff were really kind and helpful, the rooms were very clean and had everything you need such as a fridge, AC/heating and hairdryer. They offer free coffee, water and noodles which is a nice touch. You can also use the washing machine/ dryer on site for a small fee. If I’m in Seoul again I would stay at the Eight Rest Hostel 😊"
"This place exceeded my expectations! **Location:** It's located in Dongdaemun, so there are plenty of restaurants right outside, and public transport is super convenient. **Price:** It's amazing that 4 of us could stay here for this price. **Space:** The room we stayed in was a spacious quad room, which was really comfortable and nice. **Facilities:** Everything felt brand new and was perfect. The beds, furniture, bathroom, hairdryer, curling iron, and even the makeup mirror were all top-notch. **Amenities:** They provide complimentary bottled water, ramen, and coffee, which was great – we enjoyed some ramen after getting back to our room. There were also towels and toilet paper readily available in the common areas. **Lounge:** There's a lounge with a view of the outside where my friend and I could chat over a cup of coffee. During the day, the staff played quiet music while cleaning, which created a lovely atmosphere. And the air conditioning in the room was incredibly cool and comfortable. It was perfectly spacious for 3 or 4 people, and considering the price per person, it was extremely reasonable and excellent value. I would recommend this place to foreign friends and I'll definitely be back myself."
"i really enjoyed my stay here- i would most certainly come back again! the bunks were a good size and the bathroom was great. everything looked quite aesthetic too! great kitchen/dining area also."
"The hotel was located right in front of DONGDAEMUN, so it was so easy to find. The subway was also convenient when you were going to move to another place far away because Exit 1 LINE 6 and Exit 4 LINE 7 were right in front of the hotel. So if you visit Korea because you want to enjoy a concert or other festival, I highly recommend this hotel. Also, it seems that the interior of the hotel has been newly constructed. So the hotel lobby was very clean, and there are washing machines and dryers on the first floor. The usage fee is free, and laundry detergent is sold separately at reception. It seems that the hotel breakfast is currently being prepared. It will be held next week. The interior of the room was also very clean. The air conditioner was also very cool. The staff was kind enough to ask for the air conditioner to be operated in the room at reception before entering, and it can be controlled remotely. I will visit this hotel again on my next visit to Korea."

Great
GGuest UserThe best location I’ve ever stayed in Seoul! Convenient public transportations are available and there are many cool areas and touristy spots around the hotel. (Very close to Ikseondong and Bukchon) The luggage keeping system was also nice!
GGuest UserThe hotel was very clean and in a great location, making it easy to get around. As a solo traveler, I felt safe throughout my stay. I arrived earlier than the check-in time, but the staff were incredibly kind and allowed me to check in early. They even upgraded my room for free, which was a lovely surprise. I truly appreciated their hospitality and will definitely stay here again.
GGuest UserWonderful hotel located near Myeongdong train station and the shopping streets. Had a real variety for their breakfast buffet. It’s my first time seeing so many different coffee and tea choices at a hotel breakfast. I was seated by the window and had an amazing view of Seoul. The room itself was spotless with plenty of storage and a real cosy feel. The bathroom is very modern with high-tech toilet features. Hot shower and bath tub to the side. They really have everything! Hand towels, face cloths and body towel were all included. Will definitely stay here during my next visit!
GGuest UserI had a great stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient and easy to get to, whether you’re traveling by public transport or car. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, and the view from my room was absolutely beautiful.
GGuest UserHad a fantastic stay at Hotel Manu. It’s centrally located, very close to the Seoul station for both subway and airport railway. It is also a short walk to Myeongdong. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was comfy and very warm :). The brekkie was sensational with a different menu each day. They do the best cappuccino! Overall, I had a great stay and highly recommend the hotel.
GGuest UserI had an amazing experience staying at Sollago Myeongdong Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome with their warm and professional service. The check-in process was smooth and quick, and they were always happy to answer any questions or offer helpful recommendations about the area. The room was spotless, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was extremely cozy, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere, especially given the hotel’s central location. Speaking of location — you really can't beat it! It's just steps away from Myeongdong’s shopping streets, restaurants, and easy access to public transportation, making it perfect for exploring Seoul. The hotel also offers a great breakfast option, and the little details, like complimentary bottled water and high-speed Wi-Fi, made a big difference. However, the luggage storage system leaves much to be desired. There are limited slots and some of the slots are on a higher level so you need to have superhuman strength if you are a female to lift it to the storages above the floor.
GGuest UserThe room is warm even in January. I like it and able to sleep well at night. There have a lot of restaurants near there especially bbq shop is so good.
GGuest UserJust outside Myeondong Station exit 5. Connected via underground shopping and sheltered all the way from hotel to the metro. Olive Young and shops are just at B1- level 2 within the same hotel, and provides last minute shopping opportunities!
GGuest UserThe hostel was pretty nice and well . In the room, there is a attached washroom was there and the washroom was clean and the bed also the room atmosphere was good. Also at that time of mine.
