Hotels near Mapo-Gu, Seoul

The room was cozy, perfect for one person and still comfortable for two. It was extremely clean, with a large TV and a mirror that wasn't facing the bed, which I really appreciated. There were no noisy appliances either (many hotels have mini-fridges that hum, but this one was silent and very peaceful). It had a double-door entry system – you take off your shoes at the first door and put on slippers after the second. The soundproofing wasn't great, but it still felt very welcoming. Photos don't do it justice; it's much better in person, I highly recommend it! Downstairs, there's a microwave and two seats, so you can eat and charge your devices. Even though check-in is officially at 10 PM, they allowed me to check in a bit earlier since there was availability. I accidentally left some clothes behind when I left, and the staff kindly kept them safe for me. I then arranged for SF Express to pick them up and send them back home.

This hotel is incredibly convenient due to its excellent transport links. The 6015 airport bus stops directly here, and it's served by two subway lines and the airport railway. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, especially in the Gongdeok Market, which has many traditional eateries worth checking out.

It's rare for me to write a review, which just goes to show how satisfied I am with this hotel. It's not that the facilities are amazing or the service is extraordinary, as this hotel isn't positioned as a resort-style property. First and foremost, I have to rave about the mattress! I looked it up, it's a Japanese brand called France Bed, which started out making medical mattresses. It was incredibly comfortable. Secondly, the location is fantastic! Airport buses 6701/6702 go directly to and from the airport, and bus 6015 is also an option. The hotel is situated between Mapo Station and Gongdeok Station, so you can also take the Airport Express to Gongdeok Station, though it's a bit more walking than taking the bus. The hotel offers free coffee on the 3rd floor. The coffee beans are good, but the milk isn't great – probably UHT milk. I'd suggest buying fresh milk from a nearby convenience store to mix with it for a better taste. There are laundry facilities, microwaves, and ice machines on the 10th and 20th floors, which is perfect for younger travelers. Facilities: It's a Japanese-style eco-friendly hotel, so no toothbrushes or toothpaste are provided, but slippers are available. It's clean and refreshing. For breakfast, there are six options, all of which are excellent Korean dishes. I highly recommend trying the local way of eating.

The staff are friendly and helpful at all times. Their English is better than many high-end hotels. The location is convenient, with a pharmacy, convenience store, and shopping nearby.

Location is great just only 300 metre walking to Hongdae area and MRT station ext3. So convenience, especially go back &forth to the airport. Highly recommended. The room is good except so small size of towels and no space for shower area, quite difficult for us. Breakfast is not variety, only bread and snack.

This is my 2nd time staying here and it was really a great time. The bed and pillows are clean and comfortable. I love how the TV is functional and I can watch Netflix and Youtube before sleeping. The location is good too. Beside the subway station of Yeongdeungpo and there's an airport limo stop in front of the hotel. There's starbucks, CU convenience store, and Hai Di Lao on the same building.

This time, for my trip to Korea, I chose to stay at this accommodation, and the overall experience was even better than I expected. It's the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression and that I'd happily recommend to friends. First and foremost, I have to give a special shout-out to the owner. He was incredibly kind, enthusiastic, and polite. From our pre-arrival communication to meeting him in person, you could really feel that he genuinely cares about running this place, not just seeing guests as temporary visitors. He patiently answered all our questions and even proactively checked in on our itinerary, which made us feel very safe and warm while traveling in a foreign country. What truly surprised me was that the owner thoughtfully prepared small souvenirs for us. While they weren't expensive, the gesture itself was incredibly touching. It really made us feel like we were being well looked after. The room itself was clean and tidy, with all the basic amenities you'd need. It was quite comfortable, and the nights were quiet, ensuring a good quality of rest. For the price, I personally think the value for money is quite high. However, I do need to be honest about a few downsides. The accommodation is on the fifth floor, but there's no elevator. You have to carry your luggage all the way up, which can be quite a struggle, especially if you have large suitcases or find physical exertion difficult. This was particularly noticeable during check-in and check-out. Additionally, the bathroom in the room is really small, with limited space to move around. You'll need a bit of time to adjust when showering or using it. For those used to spacious bathrooms, this might be a bit inconvenient. Overall, this is an accommodation rich in human touch and with excellent service. While there are some minor drawbacks regarding the facilities, the owner's kindness and attentiveness completely made up for these shortcomings. If you don't mind climbing stairs and can accept a smaller bathroom, then I think this is a place worth staying at and one that will leave you with a good impression. If my itinerary and stamina allow it on my next trip to Korea, I would definitely be willing to choose this place again.

It’s good but old rooms

The highlight this time was how lively and convenient the surrounding area was. A big shout-out to a gentleman at the front desk; his attitude was exceptionally good and he made me feel very welcome. However, compared to my stay at this hotel a year ago, I was quite disappointed this time. Firstly, there's absolutely no need to book a balcony room – it's just a tiny corner, incredibly small, and the balcony room actually felt a bit smaller than a standard room. My next complaint is about the hotel breakfast; it was exactly the same for all four days, with no variety whatsoever. Lastly, the complimentary snacks and drinks in the room were only provided on the first day. Although the room was cleaned afterwards, they were never refilled.

Convenient location when travelling to/from airport and getting around the city. The room was clean and spacious, with a view of the main street, but rooms were fairly soundproof. Great service. I arranged a package to be delivered after I checked in and didn’t inform the hotel beforehand. But it arrived early and was handed to me immediately upon check in. Thank you! Will definitely staying here again for small groups or short stays.
