Hotels near Jongno-Gu, Seoul

The room is warm enough during winter Dec and the bed is comfortable. Breakfast choices are limited. Their cheesecake is nice. We can refill drinking water and hot water at the lobby receptionist area. We are sad that we couldn't have the hanbok experience during our visit. It is supposed to provide free hanbok experience for photo shooting. They just told me that it was sent for cleaning. We stayed 3 nights, and the hanboks are not available :( Lastly, the rate for a luxury room is a bit over priced. Their location is able to walk to nearby attractions but we have to walk a lot. 15-20mins walk to hanok village.

This hotel is really close to Jongno 3-ga Station, making it super convenient for getting to Gyeongbokgung Palace and Myeongdong. The room was a bit small, but very clean. You can store your luggage before check-in, and the self-check-in process was a breeze. For a Seoul city center hotel, it offers excellent value for money.

This place has an unbeatable location, right near Dongdaemun Subway Station, making it super convenient to get around. You can even walk to Gwangjang Market. To get to the hostel, it's about a 3-minute walk from Dongdaemun Station Exit 7 (Line 4) or Exit 6 (Line 1). The main door on the ground floor is easy to open. You check in on the 2nd floor after going up the stairs. Our room was on the top floor, requiring another flight of stairs, but since my family and I had light luggage, it wasn't an issue and we didn't need any help. The hostel offers drinking water, a coffee machine, and a ramen dispenser. We were always too full to try them, but it shows how thoughtful the staff are. The ramen comes in three clearly labeled spice levels: non-spicy, mild, and medium spicy. Inside the room, the beds were comfortable, and toiletries were provided. However, the bathroom is quite small, with only a tiny area in front of the sink for showering. If you mind wet floors, you might want to bring your own slippers. P.S. There are no USB outlets in the room, but they do provide an adapter with three different charging cable types. I'd recommend bringing your own adapter so you and your travel companions can charge separately more conveniently. Overall, we had a good stay, and it offers great value for money. We'd definitely choose this place again if we have the chance. A big thank you to all the staff!

Since it was just opened, I searched for it on Naver Maps or Kakao Maps and it didn't come up, so I was worried it might actually be there, but it turned out fine! There was no floor guide on the website, so just to clarify, there is a kiosk on the 4th floor where you can check in, receive your room number and go to your room. The elevator goes up to the 5th floor, and there is a common space on the 6th floor where you can enjoy a cafe corner, ramen, and other services. The microwave was broken so I couldn't heat up my tteokbokki, which was disappointing 😭 The room was clean and had a refrigerator and table, so I had a comfortable stay!

The subway line is right outside, and there's a convenience store nearby, making it a great location if you want to stay close to Dongdaemun. They offer a simple breakfast that tastes good, and while the room isn't huge, it's acceptably clean. I first went to their Branch 1, where the staff were incredibly friendly. However, the front desk here was quite cold. I also specifically requested not to have an end-of-corridor room, but that's exactly what I got.

On arrival had average welcome. However, free water, tea and use of microwave in reception made up for this. The hotel is very cutely decorated, aiming to have a European style with most/all decor. Most impressed with all the paintings done by Olivia Choi. Breakfast was ample and although not a lot of variety for western style, korean style breakfast had a good variety and I can taste the heart of the aunties making them! Room wise, again this was decorated with a bit of modern western style. However wasn't impressed with the lack of attention to details to certain areas, such as seeing a hair left on an unopened soap bar, grout between shower tiles not thoroughly cleaned, one of the towels having a very strong cleaning chemical smell. However, I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel experience, and these were only tiny details that I noticed which weren't too much of a major problem. I mainly picked this hotel for its location and the room size. If you're looking for a comfortable, large room stay in centre of Seoul, with easy transport access or even walkable distance to popular places like myeongdong and the 2 palaces, I would recommend it.

This place was more spacious and comfortable than a capsule hotel, offering great value for money. The self-check-in after 8 PM was a breeze. I was lucky enough to get the room furthest back, so I wasn't bothered by noise from the entrance, and it even had a window! The bathroom had a hairdryer and hair iron, and it wasn't crowded around 7 AM, so I could get ready at my own pace. The location was excellent, within walking distance to Myeongdong, so I'd definitely like to stay here again. However, I was told the ground floor door would be locked after 10 PM, but even after entering the password, it wouldn't open... Luckily, someone who was waiting for the elevator opened it for me from the inside.

The location is excellent, just a five-minute walk from the subway station exit, with complete surrounding commercial facilities and convenient living amenities. Check-in is self-service; simply send an email and wait for a reply. The staff were very friendly to foreign travelers, making me feel at ease. The room was clean and tidy overall, with a fresh scent. There was also a water dispenser outside, which was very convenient. Unfortunately, the toilet facilities were a bit old, showing some signs of use. We stayed in a double room, which was slightly cramped for travelers with large luggage, but considering the price and overall conditions, it was still a very good choice. The stay with family was also very pleasant, and the overall experience was good.

Extremely satisfied!! I originally booked a guesthouse, but found out it had a shared living room, essentially a large suite, which meant terrible soundproofing. I canceled two days before my trip and rebooked this place instead, and the price was just right. This hostel is small but has everything you need! I booked a double room, which was neither too big nor too small, and even had a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. There was a desk, a fridge, chairs, and a three-tier cabinet! All very practical. My friend and I came back with lots of bags every day, and we could still spread out our two suitcases to organize them. Once organized, we could just slide them under the bed. The room lighting was also great, Koreans really know how to do it 👍 The basement restaurant had free instant noodles, which I didn't eat much of, but it's a nice perk for those who don't like to eat breakfast but prefer a quick bite before heading out. Plus, you can continue using the restaurant even after checking out! I checked out in the morning and had an evening flight, so I used the restaurant in the afternoon to rest, order some food, and then head to the airport. I'm not sure if you can still eat instant noodles after checking out; I personally think it's better not to take advantage, or just ask the staff to confirm. The staff were all very friendly, greeted everyone coming and going, and spoke excellent English.

We had a great stay at D-Haus Hostel Dongdaemun! We booked 2 rooms for 4 persons, and everything was well-prepared for our arrival. The location is very convenient - just a short walk from the subway (Line 5, Exit 6), making it easy to get around Seoul. The rooms, beddings, and toilets were all very clean, which made our stay comfortable and relaxing. We also loved the cafeteria area - having free coffee, ramen, and tea available anytime was such a nice touch, especially after a long day of exploring. Another plus is the DIY laundry service, which is very helpful for travelers staying longer. They also offer free luggage storage if you arrive early, which was very convenient for us. There’s also a rooftop area where you can hang out and relax, which we really enjoyed. What truly made the experience memorable was the staff. Ben and Jess were very accommodating, friendly, and always checked if everything was okay. Their warm hospitality made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The hostel truly made our last days in South Korea relaxing and stress-free — exactly what we needed before heading home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and comfortable place to stay in Seoul! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
