1. The room was clean and tidy, and all the toiletries were provided (except for toothpaste and toothbrushes). 2. The room's location is excellent and feels very cozy. 3. I also have to praise the hotel staff 🥹. On my first day of arrival, I lost my iPhone 7 Plus, which I believe I left on the airport shuttle. We realized it quickly and went to look for it, but it was in vain. We didn't have local SIM cards and weren't very fluent in Korean, so we hoped the front desk staff could help us communicate. The male staff member efficiently helped us contact the airport bus management center, but we were told it hadn't been found. He seemed even more upset than me when he heard it wasn't found 😢, and kept comforting me 🥹. Although it wasn't a very valuable phone, it held some sentimental value, so I was a bit heartbroken. The female staff member spoke very fluent Chinese and also helped us deal with the communication issues with the airport bus station. On the second day after losing it, I suddenly received an iCloud location update showing it was at the airport. Although I felt a bit embarrassed, I asked the female staff member to help contact the airport again. Knowing we would return to the hotel late, she left us a note. After returning to my home country, I immediately left a review on Google Maps, hoping to convey my gratitude to both of them.

Weekend accommodations in South Korea are generally expensive, but I unexpectedly found this place with excellent value for money. It's also close to the subway. There are many outlet malls nearby, so you can check them out too.

JS Hostel was very close to Mario Outlet, which has three department stores. It was also conveniently located near the Incheon shuttle bus stop. One great thing was that it’s not in the center of Seoul, so the restaurant prices nearby were more affordable. I really liked the environment. The room was fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, oven, and air conditioner. It was clean and spacious enough for two people. The receptionist was kind and helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again for shopping.

Hotel Yaja Cheolsanjeom didn't know it was Hotel Blanc, so I wandered around the place for a while, and when I asked around just in case, the sign said Hotel Blanc. Still, I had a great time with my husband, just like when we were dating. Haha. The bed mattress was so old that the springs creaked and it was a bit uncomfortable, but it was okay for the price. Haha.

The surrounding area is good and comfortable

Compared to hotels I'm used to, I find those in Korea rather underwhelming. They generally offer poor value for money. Most hotels are quite small and dated, and simply don't measure up to what you'd find in China. On top of that, prices are steep, and the weekend surge pricing is just ridiculous.

We had an excellent stay for three nights. The bed and comforters were very comfortable, and all three of us loved them. We stayed with two adults and one 7 yrs old child from March 15th to March 18th, 2026. This was our first time at Lotte City Hotel Guro. It’s surrounded by plenty of eateries, and we ate at the restaurants inside the hotel, which was very convenient for enjoying Korean and Japanese food right in the building. In the morning, we visited a great Korean breakfast restaurant nearby that offered good value and didn’t break the bank. 7 mins walks. Another great restaurant is located on the first floor of the building next door. It’s a great spot for Japanese stone pot rice for lunch, with plenty of options and a good selection. Quite a number of people were dining there, which is always a good sign. Overall, we think Lotte City Hotel Guro is a great place to stay. Frankly, the Myeongdong area felt too crowded for us, and we preferred the vibe here. Taking an Uber to Myeongdong was easy and only cost around US$15 for a 40-minute ride.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the subway station and the airport shuttle stop, making transportation a breeze.
