Overall it's very good. The scenery on the plateau is particularly good. It's a bit old, but the rooms are quite large. I decided to stay there on a whim.
A thatched roof shukubo (a guest house run by monks) registered as a tangible cultural property and offering handmade buckwheat noodles, a specialty of Togakushi
Stayed a nite here. Very good owner, thank you.Room rate including breakfast and dinner.

This one was actually very entangled when I first booked it. It should be just on the Trip.com platform, and I can't see the score of the review. So I also went to Google and ******* to find the score. I just found out that this restaurant is actually a Michelin recommendation. Imagine that there is a French Michelin in the very deep mountain in Huyin. I believe that their hotel service will not be worse. Sure enough, the day of the chartered car arrived, it was a surprise.
Let me talk about the environment and facilities first: because we are two big and two small, there are not many hotel rooms, and the only single-family Japanese local wooden country cabin suite, the whole building was given to us. As soon as you enter the door, the large kitchen is equipped with a series of tableware, and even an oven, which is very suitable for a group of people to have a dinner (if you can drive by yourself). Entering the meeting and bedroom area is a surprise, the whole meeting and bedroom area are connected together, is a traditional Japanese country wooden house tatami, the floor is all heated by floor heating, plus a large electrical supply fireplace in the corner of the meeting area, beautiful and warm. The bedroom area is a little higher tatami mat, which can be separated by traditional Japanese snow door, and becomes a separate sleeping environment at night. What I like most is that the whole room faces a whole floor-to-ceiling window, and there is no hidden forest outside the window, covered with thick snow. We liked the view so much that we got up early in the morning, roasted on fire, sat on the warm floor, drank freshly brewed fried tea, looked out the window, it was too healing. The children even saw several squirrels leaping through the woods. The second favorite is the hotel's bathroom, all using the structure of pine wood, and the pine bathtub, the whole area is floating a natural fragrance of wood, a small window facing the outdoor, just snow, this feeling is too enjoyable.
Again, talk about the key service, we because we booked one berth and two meals, so dinner naturally dine in the hotel restaurant, the whole serving is very professional, although the Japanese waiter's English is not so fluent, but they have been trying to let us know each dish. In addition, we did not have a chartered car the next day and needed to arrive at the lake after the visit of Huyin. The hotel waiter took the initiative to help us book public transportation when he learned of this situation. Here we need to remind everyone that the bus from the Huyin area to Nagano needs to be reserved in advance. Here we must praise the hotel waiter yuki, because our mobile phone signal system problem has caused problems on the official website of the bus. She took the trouble to assist us in inquiries. Finally, I personally used Japanese to help us make an appointment with the bus company, so that we did not delay our next day's trip.
Finally, it must be said that the meal of awai, which belongs to the innovative Japanese-style French meal, is all local ingredients, especially they use a very cumbersome way to extract essential oil from a local plant to make the final dessert, which is my favorite one. But to be honest, the main meal of horse meat is not too amazing, maybe the chef in order to emphasize the meaty freshness of the over-cooked, plus the taste of the sauce is not my dish, resulting in me feeling a little fishy. But other than that, their meal was very careful, the next day's breakfast was a set, oatmeal with a series of beautiful and delicious porridge dishes, this my memory point is very deep.
If you must say this small disadvantage, one is such a quality hotel, the rooms are not equipped with any skin care products, plus the unusually dry weather in Nagano in winter, it is a bit unworthy of their brand. In addition, because we are a separate villa, close to Baoguangyuan, it actually takes five minutes to connect to the restaurant. Although the hotel sent a special car to pick up the car, it felt a bit inconvenient and not free.
Located in Nagano, 6.5 miles from Zenkoji Temple, Asoviva Nagano Park has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a bar, as well as a sauna. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Nagano Station is 7.9 miles away.
At the hotel, each room has a closet. All rooms include air conditioning, a desk and a flat-screen TV, and some rooms at Asoviva Nagano Park have a balcony. All rooms will provide guests with a fridge.
The area is popular for cycling, and bike rental is available at the accommodation.
Suzaka Zoo is 14 miles from Asoviva Nagano Park, while Jigokudani Monkey Park is 24 miles from the property. Matsumoto Airport is 54 miles away.
The facilities are complete, including karaoke and a public bath. I think it's a great deal for the price.
Hot spring accommodation in the foothills, with secluded hot spring water that gushes out from the Okususobana Valley and delicious seasonal vegetables
A thatched roof lodge surrounded by the seasonal mountains and a sea of clouds.A lodge with an Irori (traditional Japanese hearth) where has nestled in the mountain.
Nice room, very nice staff, very good dinner and breakfast
Omeitei uses seasonal Togakushi ingredients and offers traditional kaiseki course cuisine including soba noodles. The ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) also has a reputation for fine service that can only be provided by a small ryokan. null
The ryokan is situated just a few minutes’ walk from Chusha Daimon bus stop and Kuzuryusha Shrine—an ideal location for us as we stayed for two nights and focused on visiting the five shrines and nearby local shops. The ryokan is clean, and the staff are extremely friendly and warm. A few staff members speak basic English, which was helpful. The kaiseki breakfast and dinner were delicious—be sure to arrive with an empty stomach so you can fully enjoy the many courses and variety of dishes. The onsen is cozy and relaxing. Yukata are provided, and the amenities are well stocked, making the stay very comfortable. Nearby, there is a soba noodle shop where we enjoyed a hearty meal and even ordered dessert multiple times while waiting for the snowfall to ease before continuing our shrine walk. Right next to the soba shop is a souvenir store where you can pick up a few mementos to bring home. There is also a shuttle bus available within the Togakushi area, but my brother and I chose to walk while visiting all five shrines, which was a wonderful experience. A truly lovely place to stay. Highly recommended.

Amazing
SS&Y PFantastic stay, extremely helpful & polite staff.
Prime location, connected to Nagano station via the overpass, so you don't need to cross the road, super convenient. Our room was a bit small, 15 sqm, and 1 large suitcase, it was a bit cramped.
Would definitely stay here again but will book a bigger room. Arigato Sotetsu Nagano🙂
XXiemimiThe room was tiny, so small that I had to open my suitcase in the hallway. Otherwise, it had all the standard amenities. The hotel's hallway was nice, and the service was standard. The biggest advantage is its excellent location – it's just a minute's walk across the street to the train station's shopping mall. There are plenty of food options and restaurants nearby, and it's much livelier than the east exit side. Breakfast was better than expected, the soba noodles were delicious, and they even had Nagano apples! The desserts were good too! It's an okay spot for a quick stopover on the way to Hakuba.
GGuest UserThis is a perfect spot in Nagano if you want to take a break before heading to other parts such as Hakuba for skiing . It is literally right at the station and connected via MIDORI where you can buy groceries and with lots of restaurants.
Due to fight delay, we arrived late at night at around 10pm. MIDORI shops were all closed but ht path to hotel still open and we can still find plenty of cafes nearby.
It has reserved Alpico bus to Hakuba right at hotel or you may go to the regular bus stop at bus station 26 for higher frequency of bus service.
Will definitely stay here again if we need to stop over at Nagano. Though the hotel is not new, it’s spacious and clean enough for a comfortable stay .
GGuest UserFirst of all, the two staff at the check-in counter showed a very strong sense of job burnout on their faces, and the whole check-in process was not very pleasant. However, the next morning during check-out, the ladies at the counter were very professional and everything felt fine.
After entering the room, I found it to be very stuffy and hot. When I turned on the air conditioning, it was only heating. Since the weather outside was quite cool, I understand that the system is centrally controlled and set to heating. I then tried opening the window, but it could only be opened a small amount. For some reason, no fresh air was coming in, and the room still felt very stuffy.
Later, I went down to the counter (again, the same two male staff from check-in) to ask if the air conditioning could be switched to cooling, but my request was rejected. I then asked if it was possible to borrow a fan, and they refused again with a very impatient attitude.
Overall, the stay was not a very good experience. The room itself was actually fine, but it was too stuffy. I hope this review can be helpful to others.
GGuest UserSpacious rooms with beautiful mountain views. Free parking with a large parking area. The onsen is big and very relaxing. The staff are helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
NNimbusThe location is superb as its just infront of Nagano Station. Room was fine but a bit outdated but still acceptable. The local Japanese staff was really friendly and helpful but the Indian/Bangladeshi guy who was at the receptionist was cocky. We asked whats the nearby attraction places we could go while waiting for the check-in time (because he did not allow early check-in, which still understandable) but he simply said, ‘you can go to the infomation counter at Nagano station’ Bruh???? What’s wrong with you? Who hurt you, brother? Hence, i cant really appreciate his service, but the older Japanese guy was really friendly and tried to help even he was not really fluent in English but i still appreciate his effort. Oh btw, there is no free parking for guests. You will need to park it somewhere else nearby the hotel.
GGuest UserThe location is great, just have to cross a bridge from the train station. And there were many food options around the train station area. The room was clean and just the right size for a single traveller. There was even a microwave oven in the room! The hotel is quite strict on its check in timings, its not really a downside, just a heads up for people who might try their luck for early check ins.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is very close to Zenkoji Temple on foot. It is a very special experience to attend the morning class at 6:30 in the morning.
Transportation: Across the road from Nagano Station, the buses to the city are all at the station entrance (both 1 and 7 are OK for Zenkoji. I took 1 bus which is closer. I bought the ticket before getting off). After getting off the bus, you can walk to the hotel in a few minutes.
Hotel service: There was a Japanese waiter on the night we went there, but it was difficult to find someone if something happened.
Hotel food: We booked a one-night stay and two meals. Although they were all vegetarian, they tasted surprisingly good. In addition, I ordered grape juice for my daughter, which tasted special in beige.
Hotel facilities: You can't ask for too much from the facilities of the shukubo. Try not to bring luggage. We stayed in a Japanese-style room on the third floor. If you bring luggage, it will be very difficult to carry it up the stairs by yourself. Plug: There is no USB, please bring enough two plugs; Toilet: Only on the first floor, no room, you need to run down every time if you live upstairs; Washing: Only in the bathroom on the first floor and near the men's bath, it is relatively simple, and there are no face wash and skin care products. Although the room has air conditioning and a gas stove, the overall temperature is not high and it is a bit cold, but surprisingly, the tatami is very warm. I looked at it and it turned out to be Nishikawa's down quilt. The hotel basically has a curfew at 9 pm.
Temple sightseeing: Buy a 1200 pass for Zenkoji Temple at the hotel. Volunteers will lead you to the temple for morning classes at 6:30 in the morning. As an experience, it is very good, but remind you to dress warmly. The time for listening to the chanting is a bit long. My feet are sore from the cold. The volunteers finish at about 8:30. After returning to the hotel for breakfast, you can go to Zenkoji Temple to buy amulets and worship on your own. There are many souvenirs and food, as well as Starbucks on the street directly opposite the main temple. If you are not very tired, you can walk back to Nagano.
We encountered heavy snow when we returned to the temple after breakfast. It felt very good. I wish you all a happy trip.
GGuest UserKind staff especially the lady who made sincere efforts to get my computer cords send to me that I left at hotel in Yamagata. She was the best. Everyone was kind too.
AAnonymous UserVery good location, just opposite the train station. Reception is on level 2, but staff is helpful to help carry luggages to and fro ground floor.
Room is small and toilet is squeezy, but still decent for a short stay. There is a Shampoo Bar at the reception to pick up stoiletries.
Breakfast is good, the complimentary soba noodles on selected weekday nights is also great. Nice view from the 10th floor, and also free space for customers to chill during the day.
Water was not provided complimentary to customers but instead was earned through a game.
