Hotels near Ximending, Taipei

Stayed for one night in Taipei. The hotel is near Taipei Main Station and easily found, about a ten-minute walk from Ningxia Night Market. The bed was comfortable, and for the price, having a private bathroom and shower is simply unbeatable. The lobby has a water dispenser and microwave, and there's a 7-Eleven downstairs, so you won't go hungry or thirsty. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Taipei!

E-house Hotel is conveniently located near the Ximending district. Although we had a slight difficulty locating the hotel, maybe because of our unfamiliarity with the language. The hotel itself is clean and the personnel are friendly and accommodating.

Convenient Stay Near Taipei Main Station The location of this hotel is really good — just right opposite Taipei Main Station, which makes traveling around the city very convenient. The hotel is located inside a building called Asia Plaza Tower, on the 7th floor. The room size was quite big compared to many city hotels. The air conditioning was strong and worked well, but the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak. Cleanliness was generally okay, though there is still some room for improvement. Stayed for two nights, and overall it was a decent stay. Considering the location and room size, we really can’t complain much.

I’ve been to many hostels, but this is definitely one of the best I’ve stayed in. One of the biggest plus points for me is the location — it’s only about a 2-minute walk to Ximending, which is super convenient. When I arrived, everything was clean and modern. What really makes me happy in a hostel is cleanliness, and this place definitely delivers. And the TOWELS — that’s everything to me! The staff are also very nice, friendly, and speak English, which makes everything so much easier. The rooms are fully air-conditioned even when it’s already 17°C outside. Another amazing bonus: free laundry! Honestly, that’s such a big deal when traveling. What I appreciated the most was how kind and accommodating the staff were. My checkout was on March 7 at 11 AM, but my flight was at 12 AM the next morning (March 8). They kindly allowed me to leave my things and stay around the hostel while I explored Taipei for the day. When I came back before heading to the airport, they even let me take a shower before my flight. That kind of hospitality really means a lot to travelers. This is probably one of my favorite hostels now, and I can’t wait to come back!

One of my ********* friends told me that many hotels near Taipei Main Station are quite old. True enough, the hotel we stayed in was definitely old, though not to the point of being unlivable. You’ll notice certain parts of the hotel and the room showing their age, but oddly enough, the bathroom in our room felt much newer compared to everything else. What this hotel really has going for it is its location. It’s conveniently close to Exit Z10—just about an 8-minute walk to reach the main station area where you catch your trains. It’s not the shortest walk, but still practical and convenient. We also appreciated the housekeeping. Even though we didn’t request daily cleaning—in fact, we told the reception it wasn’t necessary—they still cleaned our room, replaced our towels, and replenished our bottled water every day. That extra effort didn’t go unnoticed. The downsides: first, the air conditioning. It never went down to our ideal 24°C and stayed stuck at 27°C throughout our stay. When we asked about it, the receptionist admitted that the hotel was having air-conditioning issues and that maintenance had already been called. Second, we did encounter a small ant problem in our room. A few ants seemed to pop up out of nowhere, but since there were only a few, we managed to deal with them quickly and didn’t have any further issues during our 6-night stay. Overall, while the hotel is definitely showing its age and has some quirks, its convenient location and thoughtful housekeeping made our stay decent enough.

Hotel Review I had a comfortable stay overall. The room was very spacious, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The bathroom was also impressive—it had a bathtub and a Japanese-style bidet, which added a nice touch of comfort. The room amenities were well thought out. It came with coffee cups, bottled water, and a refrigerator, which were very convenient. There’s also a water refill station near the elevator, so it’s easy to top up your drinking water anytime. Another thing I appreciated was the number of elevators available. There are plenty of them, so you rarely have to wait in line, even during busy hours. The location is also very convenient. It’s near an MRT station, and booking an Uber was always quick and easy. Breakfast, however, was the only downside for me. The selection was quite limited, and the menu didn’t change during my three mornings there. On the positive side, I did enjoy the variety of fruits available. Overall, it’s a good place to stay if you value a spacious room, convenient amenities, and an accessible location.

It's a rather small building and the rooms aren't big, but the facilities are quite new and the decor is nice. There's a bidet, and a half-partitioned wet/dry bathroom setup like in a hotel. You'll need to wait for someone to open the door for you to check in, so it's best to contact them in advance.

Check in takes only 5 minutes and check out much more faster with 10 seconds with a self check out machine that will suck in your room card. Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes. The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.

I got an upgrade to a double bed, which was more comfortable. However, the hostel itself is tiny – the dorm room, the lobby, everything. Our room had 6 beds with lockers, but my 20-inch luggage wouldn't fit. There's nowhere to hang anything by the beds, so everyone just leaves their stuff outside the lockers. The bathrooms are small and crowded. The sinks are always wet, so there's no space to put your toiletries. There are no bins inside, so you have to take your rubbish outside. There are two hairdryers, and you often have to wait to use them. The location is good, right behind Shinkong [Mitsukoshi] Taipei Main. Overall, it's decent for the price.

Just Sleep Ximending is perfectly located near the MRT and all the shops and food stalls. Rooms are clean, modern, and quiet despite the busy area. Bed was comfy. Staff are friendly and helpful, and check-in was smooth. Overall, a great value and super convenient base for exploring Taipei!
