The hygiene was absolutely, unbelievably bad, and there were bugs! The carpet was full of dirt, the ceiling was moldy (definitely not good for your respiratory system), and there was a strange smell. Both pillows stank; one had a strong cigarette smell. When I pulled back the pillowcase, I saw that one pillow was completely yellow and had mold spots, and it smelled awful. The soundproofing was also pretty bad; I could hear people watching short videos next door. A bug was on the duvet, but it scurried away quickly when I moved, so I couldn't get a picture. Oh, and the air conditioning was broken too; it was super cold and couldn't be adjusted at all, so I had to turn it off. I wouldn't dare stay there again; I left in the middle of the night and went straight to the airport.

I’ve stayed in several affordable hotels here in Taipei, and I understand that you usually get what you pay for. However, I still believe that basic cleanliness and proper maintenance should always be provided to guests regardless of the price range. Sadly, this has been the worst hotel experience I’ve had so far. First of all, the room did not feel clean at all. The bathtub was extremely dirty, with visible stains and molds around it. Even the toilet walls, floors, and sink area looked poorly maintained. There was also a water leak from the toilet ceiling, which made the bathroom feel even more uncomfortable. The fridge still had leftover food from the previous guest, which honestly made me question if the room had been cleaned properly before we arrived. I also requested for the bed to be cleaned, but after staying there, I suddenly developed rashes, which made me worried about the cleanliness of the sheets and pillows. The sheets had stains, maybe blood stains (not sure what it was). The pillow also had an unpleasant smell, as if it had not been washed properly. As someone who values cleanliness, this was very disappointing and uncomfortable. Another issue was the condition of the room itself. Despite having several light bulbs installed, only one light was working, making the entire room feel dark and gloomy. The walls and bathroom areas clearly need maintenance and renovation. On top of that, the soundproofing was very poor. I could hear noises from other rooms very clearly, including conversations and even dripping water sounds throughout the night, making it difficult to rest comfortably. What disappointed me the most was that the photos posted online looked completely different from the actual room. The hotel appeared much cleaner and more maintained in the pictures, which honestly gave us expectations that were far from reality. However, I genuinely want to commend the staff because they were the only bright side of our stay. The receptionist was very kind, polite, and accommodating from the moment we arrived. They were approachable and communicated well in English, which was very helpful for foreign guests like us. Despite the condition of the hotel, the staff still tried their best to assist guests professionally and respectfully. You can tell that they are hardworking people simply doing their job properly. That is also why I feel bad leaving this kind of review. The staff members deserve appreciation because they handle guests with patience and kindness, even though many of the problems seem to come from the hotel’s maintenance and management itself. It honestly feels like the employees are the ones carrying the burden of complaints that should already be addressed by the owner. My brother and I even considered changing hotels, but since we were only staying for 2 nights and 1 day, we decided to just endure it. I truly hope the owner takes guest feedback seriously because the hotel has potential if proper cleanliness, maintenance, and care are given attention. I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but I think future guests deserve an honest experience, and I also hope this review encourages improvements because the staff truly deserve a better-managed workplace and guests deserve a cleaner and more comfortable stay.

The hotel's hygiene was appalling. On the first day, the carpet was covered in hair and debris. I reported it to the front desk, and they sent someone to clean, but the staff member couldn't speak Mandarin and struggled with English, constantly deflecting responsibility and claiming they were short-staffed. The room environment was worrying, with mold everywhere and the pillows smelling off. I went out the next morning, and when I returned at night, the room hadn't been cleaned, and the trash hadn't been emptied. I had to complain at the front desk again to get someone to clean it. Another staff member also shirked responsibility, citing understaffing as the reason they couldn't clean all guest rooms. Even more ridiculous, there were mosquitoes! Several mosquitoes kept buzzing around, and the ceiling was too dirty to see where they were. It took a lot of effort to kill just one, and I got several bites, leading to a terrible night's sleep. I booked for 3 days but was too afraid to stay for the last day, and they wouldn't issue a refund!!!!

This is genuinely the worst hotel in Taipei, not even exaggerating. First off, the location is not the best, its a 15 minute walk from the nearest MRT station, but that itself isn't a huge issue. The main issue is the facilities. This is a rotting building that has not been paid attention to for a while. The first room I was taken too had a leak from the ceiling and the whole floor was covered in water. The second one didn't have a leak, but the more you look, the more and more you just see dirty/broken/falling apart things. Some aspects of the room were actively inconvenient. The shower had no curtain, so you end up getting water all over the floor of the bathroom. It also made it dangerous to get out of the shower. The room had several cockroaches, probably owing to the holes in the caulk. The only positive aspects were that, yes, the beds were clean, and they did give some free water and snacks. But seriously, this place is suffering from neglect and is quite disgusting. Please don't get this place just because you have a low budget like I did.

Other users have give their experience. I do not want to add more. Users would choose this hotel because of pricing factor. It is what it is. I do wish the proprietor would upgrade their building.
