The Apartment room was very good. Marvelous view of the sea and relaxing tub for the bath. The host was very polite and helpful. Overall Great 👍. Most of the attractions are nearby.

The boss is quite talkative, the service is quite warm and thoughtful, the view is superb, you can see the panoramic view of Xiamen University, it is convenient to eat and play around, the room is very clean, there is a refrigerator, microwave oven, washing machine, and there is a sea-viewing platform outside. The cost performance is really high. I will choose this hotel next time I come to Xiamen.

To stay at Xiamen’s tallest building, especially at this price, is just amazing. Waking up to views of the city and the surrounding mountains is a lovely start to the day. The room is spacious, and I would love to have sat down to have tea while watching the sky change. Below the apartment is a mall, so you literally have everything at your feet. The best location in Xiamen, right at the Zhongshan pedestrian road. Room was spacious, overall quite good and value for money. Would recommend to others and will stay here again when visiting Xiamen.

Superb location, the hotel is just behind these pedestrian street. U can just use hotel’s back door to reach this area, eat and shopping heaven. Reception staffs are very nice. They say yes to your every request. We all enjoy so much by continuing to stay in the same hotel in Amoy

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Gulangyu Island. It's tucked away in a quiet spot but still close to Longtou Road, where all the restaurants are, and attractions like Sunlight Rock and Shuzhuang Garden. We stayed in Building 9, which was very peaceful. It hardly felt like the bustling National Day holiday, but as soon as we stepped out of the hotel, we were met with throngs of people – truly two different worlds! The hotel has a private back exit for guests that leads to a quiet beach with very few people. The kids absolutely loved it, braving the heat and strong sun for over two hours, catching several small crabs.
The hotel used to be a government retreat and is now open to the public. While the facilities and decor are a bit dated, you can tell the original fixtures are still of good quality. The room even came with tea ceremony tools, and the kids had a blast playing tea master – the Dahongpao tea was delicious.
The hotel service is outstanding. They offer exclusive shuttle transfers from the ferry terminal to the hotel when you arrive and depart. If you're heading straight to the ferry after sightseeing, you can arrange a time with the hotel, and they'll deliver your luggage to the terminal, allowing you to enjoy your day worry-free. The staff are also incredibly helpful; knowing the kids wanted to play on the beach, they even brought sand-digging tools. When we encountered a staff member on the road and asked for directions to the beach, he simply walked us all the way there. We genuinely loved this hotel and highly recommend it.

YYappariStory⭐ 5/5 — A Truly Exceptional, Warm-Hearted Stay at Zengcuo’an Village ⭐
I travel often and have experienced many different types of hotels and accommodations over the years. From 25 Nov 2025, I stayed at Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) for 12 nights, and extended my stay by another 3 nights because it genuinely felt like home. That alone says everything. 😊
From the moment I arrived, the experience was not just comfortable, but deeply warm and reassuring, thanks to the owner and housekeeper who went out of their way to make sure every detail of my stay was taken care of. 🙏
I stayed in the Huacai Balcony Tub Room on the 5th level. I believe this is the only accommodation in Zengcuo'an that has an elevator.
The room was very clean, modern, and thoughtfully equipped. The large bathtub and giant HD projector made every evening wonderfully relaxing. The balcony overlooks Zengcuo’an Village and is just 50 metres from the village church. I even enjoyed a beautiful sunrise at around 6:30am right from my room. 🌄
The location is outstanding. It’s about 200 metres from the main entrance of Zengcuo’an Village, surrounded by everything you could possibly need. There are countless eateries nearby, including my personal favourite right in front of the accommodation — 福鼎肉片小吃店, run by the warm and amiable 美金姐, a 56-year-old local lady (highly recommended!). 😋😋
Convenience stores, fashion and accessory shops, souvenir stalls, luggage shops, spas, travel agencies — and even a McDonald’s — are all within easy reach. 👍👍
Several attractions are also within walking distance, including Pearl Public Beach and Music Square. One of the smartest ways to explore Xiamen is the CNY 50 hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus (24 stops), with the bus stop conveniently located right in front of the village on the right side. It’s honestly the most affordable and efficient way to see the city.
What truly made this stay exceptional, however, were the people. 👬👭 The owner, 许老板, is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. He patiently gave directions, recommended places to visit, pointed out nearby essentials like the bank and pharmacy, and even allowed me to store my luggage while I was away for a few days. When I checked out, I was down with a cold — he not only helped with my luggage, but also personally drove me to the airport, making sure I arrived safely. That level of care is rare. 💯💯💯
The housekeeper, 秀容, is equally wonderful. Always smiling, always attentive, she made sure I was comfortable every single day — from providing extra water, tissues, and towels to quietly checking that everything was in order. Her warmth made the entire stay feel effortless and homely.

One last tip: don’t miss the sunset. Walk across the overhead bridge from the village and enjoy the beach scene between 4:30pm and 6:30pm — it’s absolutely unforgettable.🌻🌷
Overall: highly, highly recommended.

AAnonymous UserThis place deserves a 10/5 based on service alone - absolutely friendly front desk who often went the extra mile. To ensure I could book the ferry tickets to Gulangyu, they offered different local Hp numbers for me to try which is needed when booking tickets via Alipay. When my delivery didn't arrive in time, they helped to call and chase. No complaints, just very friendly help. They didn't hardsell anything either. The rooms are big, comfortable, decently soundproofed for the price, and they accommodated our request for regular instead of disposable towels. Location is not at the doorstep of a metro, but we took didi mostly. The hotel is located on the 20th Floor of the same building as Mercure hotel and shares the same pick up point. Overall, a wonderful stay, would return!

GGuest UserThe room was spacious and the bed was huge and very clean, so I slept soundly. There's also a mini-fridge in the room, perfect for storing fruit. The breakfast offered a lot of local specialties, and the Shacha Noodles were even better than those sold outside.

AAnonymous UserThe room was decent, and the hotel is conveniently located near the seaside and the ferry terminal. It's right next to Zhonghua City, and just a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, though I wouldn't recommend Zhongshan Road as the environment isn't great. The Botanical Garden, Huli Mountain Fortress, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, the Coastal Road, and the 'Sea View of Kinmen' tour from Heping Wharf are all worth visiting. Definitely avoid the offshore cruises recommended by people on the street – they're usually from sketchy companies. Breakfast offered a good variety, but the soy milk and fried dough sticks were a bit cold, and I couldn't get used to the duck blood in the oyster vermicelli soup.

GGuest UserThis is a pretty good hotel. It's always well-equipped, clean, and hygienic. The only thing is the price fluctuates quite a bit; it was 270 for two rooms on the first day, but 360 for two rooms by the third day. The soundproofing is usually good, but yesterday, May 20th, everyone might have been too excited because the room next door was a bit noisy. Other than that, everything else was fine.

GGuest UserThis hotel stay was absolutely perfect! The breakfast was definitely the highlight – a wide variety of freshly cooked hot dishes, all very flavorful. The self-service egg-frying experience was especially enjoyable; you get to choose the eggs and control their doneness entirely on your own, making it both fresh and fun. Paired with porridge and their multigrain drinks, it was incredibly satisfying. The location is also impeccable, right next to the California Shopping Plaza, making shopping and dining super convenient without any planning. Even better, parking is fantastic – plenty of spaces and easy access. Just register your license plate at the front desk and it's free, eliminating a major concern for those driving. Overall, the service was attentive, the environment clean and comfortable, exceeding all expectations. It's excellent value for money, and I've already recommended it to my friends. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

GGuest UserReally grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier?
Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish.
I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view.
Room was clean and nice. Slippers given.
Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them.
The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider.
The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night.
Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants.
The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently.
Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.
