A very convenient location which is just right by the airport and SMK Outlet, the front desk service is superb being that they remembered that I need taxi services in early mornings for both days while we are staying in. I will definitely stay in the same hotel when I come to Kaohsiung again, thanks!

On the day of check-in, the two sisters at the front desk were very friendly and smiling. I found my handbag was torn at night, so I went to the front desk to borrow a sewing box. The staff was very kind and gave it to me. The hotel has a coffee machine and provides ice cream, fresh milk and orange juice, which feels very good. The breakfast is not rich but filling.

I had an early flight, and even though I only got a few hours of rest, the room was big and clean. It's really good value for money in Kaohsiung! Very comfortable! It's a bit far from the airport, so if you have luggage, I recommend taking a taxi to the terminal.

The room is clean and spacious, facilities are great, and the staff are super friendly. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the train station though. Since it’s converted from an old commercial building, you have to climb about 10 steps through the mall to get up to the hotel, not the most convenient if you’ve got big luggage. Also, at night some of the mall doors get locked, so you might need to ask security how to get in, which is a bit of a hassle. Overall, it’s more suitable for business travelers than leisure ones.

Great location, right next to the MRT exit. I booked a windowless room, but it was spacious enough that it didn't feel cramped. The breakfast had a good variety of food, and there were plenty of seats in the restaurant. Even though there were a lot of people, they were quick to refill the food. There are also shopping malls and restaurants near the hotel, making it very convenient for getting around.

For a business hotel, Just Sleep is clean and the service is excellent. I arrived before check in time and was able to leave my bag with the front desk while I went out for a walk. Very happy with my stay here! Great location, the hotel is super clean and staff were friendly. The bed is super comfortable! Free coffee and water and a few snacks at the reception. The only downside was the cleaning staff making lots of noise at 8am on a Saturday morning but I had to get up anyway. I’d come back for sure.

GGuest UserHotel Nikko Kaohsiung was the perfect hotel for us in Kaohsiung. It's in a quiet location in the Asia New Bay Area, a few minutes' walk to 2 light rail stations (C7-Software Technology Park and C8-Kaohsiung Exhibition Center) and 1 Metro Red Line station (R8-Sanduo Shopping District). There's a 7-11 and Family Mart directly in front of it for any drink, snack, or toiletry needs. An MWD outlet is also close by for a good breakfast, if you don't want to spend on the breakfast buffet every morning. Room service dining is available and reasonably priced, though the options are limited. Both the check-in and check-out processes went very smoothly. We arrived a few hours before check-in, but the reception staff let us go through the check-in process and leave our bags. When we returned from exploring the neighborhood, we simply collected our keys from reception and found our bags waiting for us in our room. The lap pool area was quite relaxing to hang out at. The only thing missing is a milk tea shop around the corner.

DDing AlexFacilities of hotel near top niche conditions, probably due to recent renovation or opening. Room is spacious for two. Services of front desk are helpful. Even took time trying to help our cell phone connection issues. Breakfast, although vegetarian only, is tasty and offered a wide variety of choices. Disappointed is about the noises caused by unruly neigbouring guests late at night.

GGuest UserAmazing pool! Great service and yay for an air pump to blow up kids swimming rings quickly! The view from the pool at sunset is stunning. We loved the Japanese style room and it was so good for our family of 4. The kids loved the daily free snacks and drinks. Mum appreciated the Nespresso machine and the Dyson hairdryer! GGuest UserThere's more than one Takahashi Inn around Kaohsiung Station, but this one is right across the street from the station, which was super convenient for me since I had a lot of luggage. The hotel breakfast was excellent; I particularly enjoyed the hot Chinese options like congee, stir-fries, and tremella soup. Their scallion oil crispy pastry was fantastic! (See picture 2). The hotel doesn't serve dinner, but the famous Liuhe Night Market is less than a ten-minute walk away (See picture 3). I especially loved the hotel's 24-hour self-service laundry room.

GGuest UserLove the vibe of the hotel. It was a bit confusing in the beginning as they taxi driver dropped us at a dead end road. But once we saw the hotel, we were in awe. The once abandoned warehouse looked well renovated. We got the terrace quadruple loft. It was a nice space for 2 adults and 2 kids (below 5yo). The room was well decorated and feels luxurious. Kids definitely love the loft and the bath tub. The cons about the room were: - when people goes up and down the loft, it is a little noisy. - there’s no day curtain, so we didn’t dare to open the windows too wide (people outside probably can see us) - since the location is very close to the KLR station, you can hear the train passing by (just slightly) Hotel facilities are okay. There’s no breakfast but the reception has a google maps of food (breakfast brunch etc) nearby. Staff are polite and friendly. The reception is 24/7 i think, there’s 2 laundry rooms with 1 washing machine and dryer each. Both are coin operated and you can to purchase the laundry pods from the reception. There’s snacks in the lobby, water dispenser for cold, warm and hot water on every floor. The location is right in front of the Kaohsiung Light Rail Line Penglai Pier 2 station. Easy to hop on, just need 20NTD coins. It’s close to the Hamasen Museum of Taiwan Railway and Pier2 art centre (where Wooderful land is). The area is surprisingly quiet and close to a few children playgrounds. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would enjoy coming back to this hotel again.

BBelieveyongI was quite surprised to find a 0.9-meter-wide bed on my first stay here. Every time I turned over, the blanket would fall off. The room was tiny. The only good thing is the location, right across from Kaohsiung Railway Station. The laundry room has two old washing machines and two dryers. The dryer runs for 69 minutes on high heat, but my clothes were still damp when I picked them up, so I had to hang them to dry back in the room.

AAnonymous UserEverything was good during my stay in this hotel. The lighting of the room was a bit too dim for me, but it wasn't a problem during the day as there was plenty of sunlight from the window. What I like about is that they put a coffee table and an armchair by the window, making it quite enjoyable to do some reading during the day. The location is a okay, around 10-15 minutes walk from the closest MRT station. The way to the station was clear and had a variety of local shops to explore.

JJazz S.Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this hotel and actually preferred our Kaohsiung stay here compared to our time in Taipei. Check-in and check-out were fast and efficient—maybe an East Asian thing where they get straight to the point—but the staff were still warm enough to make us feel welcome. The location is very convenient, just an 8-minute walk to Kaohsiung Main Station, which made getting around the city much easier. Although the hotel doesn’t have an elevator, it wasn’t a problem since we stayed on the 3rd floor and the stairs weren’t steep enough to feel exhausting. Our room was clean, and I really appreciate that there were no bed bugs (something I heard can be an issue in some Taiwan hotels, so we made sure to check the mattress and beddings). Happy to report this one is safe. We loved having a bathtub, and the provided shampoo and body wash smelled so good that showering felt like a treat every time. The air-conditioning was also well-maintained—we didn’t experience any problems adjusting the room temperature. Facilities-wise, there isn’t much to explore since it’s a small hotel, but that was fine with us since we spent most of our time outside. During our stay, Typhoon Podul forced us indoors for a whole day, but the hotel’s sturdy structure made us feel safe. The water dispenser on the 2nd floor was also a lifesaver—something I think guests would really appreciate if ever stranded. If I had to give some comments: the toilet can get a bit cloggy at times, so be mindful—it takes a while to flush down. They will let you borrow a plunger though so no worries. Also, the hallways had a faint smell of cigarettes, which I suppose is to be expected as smoking is still quite embedded in Chinese influenced culture. All in all, a reliable place to stay in Kaohsiung.

CCrabisgood888Overall the hotel was very nice. It was modern. The check in staff was very helpful and at least one person on staff always spoke English. Note that the staff at breakfast were super cute older ladies and they don't speak English. Pros: Modern design. Newer hotel. Large beds (stayed in a standard quad room). The twin bed rooms were also bigger and nice. The shower was really great. It was super high pressure. Bidet for the toilet. Big bathrooms. You can turn on the vent and dry clothes that you hang to dry. The 13th floor area is nice with snacks through the afternoon and evening and coffee. They provide free sparkling water and regular water for the rooms. Very well designed with great storage since there wasn't much floor space. Cons: Location wasn't really next to many food areas. There's a Starbucks. You have to walk around 5-10 min, which is fine, but it's not the usual vibes you would imagine having in Taiwan. Unlike Taipei, the city is a sleepy town. A lot of businesses are just randomly closed during work hours and regular business days. There is a 7-11. The night market nearby is small. The breakfast needs a little help. After 2 days, it's the same food over and over. We were there for 7nights, so you can imagine it was a bit tiresome. I hope they can provide more variety. Even the soup only changed once. So 6 breakfasts it was miso soup. 1 breakfast was a corn soup (good, but never came back). Another major con is the hotel has no direct email address, so you can't contact them directly. I had to speak with the Leisure group hotels via FB messenger. They never responded via the Line App. We chose this hotel because it's newer and had the room arrangements that we needed for our group (12 rooms). Big buses can wait outside for you. You can't make much noise in this hotel. We got warnings every day and that was just when we were hanging out in the lobby waiting for the elevator. Overall the hotel was good value and great for a soccer team since we had the 13th floor for our team meetings and for hanging out at night.
