Ao Cho Grandview Hideaway Resort

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! We booked the Deluxe Family Room, which was a standalone bungalow offering great privacy. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the amenities we needed. We had a wonderful sea view right from our room, and opening the door revealed lush greenery and the ocean – truly a beautiful sight that put us in a great mood every morning. The hotel is super close to the beach, just a short walk away. The beach was quiet and clean, perfect for a relaxing vacation. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and the overall environment was peaceful and comfortable, really setting that perfect holiday vibe. I'd highly recommend this place for both family trips and couples' getaways. We'll definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Koh Samet.

1. The room is large. It has all the necessary furniture for working on vacation (crucial for me), and places to put books and tablets. 2. It's clean and cozy. There are many windows, but even though the bungalow is small, it's still a bit dark. The windows are opaque from the outside, so no one can see you when the curtains are open. 3. The air conditioner is quite quiet. The outdoor unit is located right behind the closet, so you don't hear any humming when it's running. 4. The bathroom is huge and bright. All amenities are provided, even a rubber mat to prevent accidental slips. The drain works well, there are two showers, and a separate faucet just for washing your feet – everything is very well thought out. 5. There's a safe, bathrobes, flip-flops (!), and, of course, towels. The bed is large. We arrived with my daughter, but there were no bungalows with two beds. They apologized and gave us two blankets. This is luxury-class care, thank you! 6. Sea view. The sea is just two steps down a path. New, good sun loungers, umbrellas, and a wonderfully equipped beach. 7. Light and pleasant music plays all day. This might be a problem for some, so be aware, but we didn't mind it. There was no music on Sunday. At the beach bar, the music stops strictly at 11 PM, but you can hear the neighboring bay's music – I'd go crazy if I lived there. In bungalows further from the restaurant, you can't hear any music at all. The property has bungalows with sea views, cottages, rooms, and beachfront suites – accommodation for every taste and budget. The grounds are very picturesque and well-maintained. You can take a taxi to the pier for 250 baht. 8. The breakfasts are amazing. We haven't encountered hotels with such breakfasts in a long time. Every day there were 2-3 types of meat, fish, potatoes, pasta, soups, rice, a ton of sweets, even sweet rice. And cheese (!). There was Camembert, Brie, and some hard cheeses. Ham/sausages/omelets/eggs, of course. A coffee machine, tea, juices, fruits. In short, during our 5-day stay, we only went to a restaurant for dinner once :) We were full all day! 9. Check the tide map. If low tide starts in the morning, it can be a significant issue. The bay is small, and at low tide, the water recedes so much that swimming is a problem. When there's plenty of water, everything is great, and there's even a small reef where you can wander and look at fish. 10. Summary: The hotel is excellent, with guest care at every turn. We will definitely return. Prosperity to the resort and a huge thank you to the staff for their care!

A wonderful place, quiet and secluded, with cozy bungalows and a fantastic beach. The staff are incredibly friendly and professional. The breakfasts are varied and delicious. I absolutely love this hotel.

We booked a room with a sea view. It was wonderful and quiet, with our own balcony. The room was spacious. The only downside was the very noisy air conditioning (room 105). The breakfast was a bit odd – there was a lot of variety, but not much I actually wanted to eat. They were also very slow at making omelets. The hotel's private beach was excellent, and sun loungers were provided. There's also a great Rasta bar nearby. Overall, everything was good.

We stayed for 5 days in September. The weather was lovely and sunny, with occasional rain at night. The tides were quite noticeable: low in the morning, high in the evening. The beach itself was partially rocky, but past the pier, it was sandy. We had booked a family room with two beds, so we were very grateful when they upgraded us to two separate, adjoining rooms in one bungalow. Our room was well-equipped with a new air conditioner, bathrobes, umbrellas, a beach bag, coffee-making facilities, bottled water, and toiletries (even a hair tie!). A hairdryer was also provided, and the bed featured a lovely canopy. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would consider returning. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always happy to help with anything we needed, such as arranging a tuk-tuk to another hotel for 200 baht. Breakfasts were satisfactory. However, we were quite disappointed with the dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food quality was poor; dishes were often undercooked or had small portions. The menu photos didn't accurately represent the food, and the dish descriptions were incorrectly translated. Subsequently, we opted to dine at a nearby family-run beach eatery, which served delicious and affordable meals.

What a pleasant surprise! The hotel I originally wanted was fully booked, so I ended up here. A quick Songthaew ride from the pier got me there. It's a bit far from the main hub, but the room is right by the sea, beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The room itself is also spacious and spotless, everything was great. The kids absolutely loved the hotel, and the staff were incredibly warm and friendly. Highly recommend! Oh, and there are street vendors by the sea selling pancakes, salads, and grilled chicken wings. The pancake guy can sometimes be a bit impatient, but the lady selling salads and grilled chicken wings is super friendly, and her food is delicious – I even saw hotel staff buying from her. The kids enjoyed the grilled chicken wings too, and thankfully, no upset stomachs!
