The bed was comfy. The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location is very close to downtown but up a hill so very very quiet. The food is good, EXCEPT the mutton biryani. Don't order the Mutton Biryani it was just tough fatty meat that you couldn't chew unless you want to feel like you're chewing on an old piece of gum.

My wedding took place at the tree of life very recently and the services and the meals we received were beyond expectations. As a hotel with a long history, I recommend the Tree of Life Nature Resort to any couple, family or even solo travelers. The surroundings are all relaxing and calm and you will experience a glimpse of nature throughout the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious and the meals were amazing. Kudos to the chef and the restaurant team. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they give priority to the customer's desires. Both main and baby swimming pools are well maintained and you can go for a swim during the day. Tree of life is a great hotel for all sorts of events including parties, family gatherings, day outs or simply for your vacation.

Me and my husband spend a day at Theva as part of our honey moon trip. We stayed in the suit with a spectacular view of Kandy. The ambience of the residence is very calm and quiet making us wanting to stay more. The room had a Jacuzzi where we could enjoy a hot bath with a splendid view from the window. The bathroom was very spacious and was in very good quality. The bed was very comfortable. I want specifically mention about their food. The food we had from Theva was the best we had in our trip. We specifically tried their iconic Sri Lankan rice and 17 curries menu. Also we tried avocado ice cream with the recommendation of the restaurant manager and it was very good. The food was very tasty and highly recommended. The service provided by the staff is commendable. They even helped us to find accomodation for our driver. If you are look for a calm and quiet experience with good food, we highly recommend Theva. Thank you again Theva for the flavourful food and amazing service

The location is hidden, half an hour off the road from Kandy. Next to the river, the view is very good, the restaurant breakfast is good, it is indoor and relatively clean. A little problem is that the balcony on the first floor and the outside are almost connected, which is very unsafe. And I don't know what the reason was. The room we were assigned was too biased. Kandy, as the second largest city in Sri Lanka, is really a misnomer. It only needs one day. It is better to stay in Nuvo for two days. If you buy gemstones, Kandy is better. Hemachandras has no fakes. After buying, it will be sent to Colombo for NGJA identification. The appraiser said that good stone. When buying, the price is slashed, and the listed price is discounted by 0.25 to 0.28. Kandy is more primitive and simple, so I do n’t watch it when time is limited

My wife and I stayed three nights in this beautiful resort. The service was impeccable! The resort was pristine and the staff were amazing. This is a small resort and we were made to feel special. It was very intimate and different than the large resort, in Bentota, we had just spent two weeks in. The staff knew our names and our room number always. The gardens and pool area are so well maintained. We had half-board and the food was amazing. Kandy is a beautiful area and is so worth visiting as well as the popular beach areas of Sri Lanka.

The beds were super, super comfortable and we had the largest room on the top floor with amazing city/hill views from 2 windows. The rooms sizes seem reasonable. The staff were all very lovely and helpful and the location is close to the lake (10 minutes walk). The bathroom was large and the water was hot. Breakfast was nice but expensive and Wi-Fi was excellent. Sadly, The decor of the room was in poor condition and needs redecorating. Wallpaper is peeling and walls are marked. The window blinds were all broken. The pool and surrounding area did not look inviting at all. The pool looks dirty. Such a shame. If they could fix the decor and pool we would have given this 5/5.

Kangti is a mountain city, and the houses are basically built on the mountain. This hotel is actually like a resort, by the river, there are no attractions and no residents next to it. The river is flowing rapidly, the flowers are fragrant, and the sound is quite lively. A person spent nine days in Sri Lanka and lived in 8 hotels. This room is the most satisfactory. There is an elevator, one room and one living room. The space is very large. There are air conditioners, hot water, fans, and two windows. The clothes are dried through the window, but the windows cannot be opened and there are monkeys. The boss is very enthusiastic, with the selection of the room, also told me that the road here is noisy, here by the sun, the check-in and check-out are helpful to move, the service is not worse than the domestic four- and five-star hotel. The hotel is very close to Kandy Lake. Go out and turn left. The next slope will go to Kandy Lake. You can see Kandy Lake in the window of the room. The window is very soft. The whole person is sunken and sleeps. Very comfortable, this hotel can also swipe, breakfast plus extra money, but very rich, wake up, Lanca hotels are covered with a sheet, it is best to bring a thick shawl or blanket.

We stayed for one night in June 2022. The location is great, right in the middle of Kandy. We were able to walk to the temple of tooth, eat out and shop within seconds from the hotel. The staff were all so lovely, looking after our train tickets, swapping notes for lower amounts and Manjuia and his team went out their way to make a beautiful bedroom set up for our honeymoon. The power went out and within minutes a generator was on which was fantastic. The room was a great size with a balcony and very clean. The only negative and it’s not the hotels fault was the noise from outside during the night. There was a queue of people waiting for fuel outside the hotel so it was noisy through the night. If your looking for a good base in Kandy, look no further.

The small resort is somewhat hidden in the middle of the tea plantations near Nawalapitiya. It can be reached by taxi in 4 hours from Bandaranaike Airport. Room/Bungalow The spacious bungalows are furnished in a colonial style. We moved into a very clean bungalow. You have to be aware that the resort is in the middle of nature and that little visitors can get lost in the bungalow through small gaps (e.g. under doors) over the course of the days and nights. We didn't see any dangerous animals, so it didn't bother us. There is no daily room service. At night you can watch fireflies through the large window, and in the morning you can be woken up by monkeys or squirrels on the roof. We liked this as well as the magnificent view from the large panoramic window into the green valley. Food As vegetarians, we really appreciated the local cuisine of Sri Lanka. Activities Requested trips to Adams Peak and several waterfalls were organized and realized by tuk-tuk ;-). At afternoon tea we were introduced to the new luxury house tent prototype that is still under construction. The tea factory spontaneously gave us a private tour and sells fantastic tea. Lovers will get their money's worth. General manager, chef and their team were very hospitable and responded to our wishes. What does the addition “& Spa” stand for? There is a pool but it seems very neglected. We would come back at any time.

Villa Shenandoah is a classy small hotel locating on the mountain being away from traffic and noise of cars of a big city Kandy. The hotel landscape has been occupied by big trees and beautiful flowers that offer guests relax and peaceful atmosphere. The main building where lobby and dining room situated is in a colonial style, classy decorated and well-maintained. The room which I stayed for couple nights was beautiful, well-equipped, clean and with balcony that overlooked beautiful mountain view and clear blue sky. Breakfast was yummy and good quality. Services were incredible and reliable. Staffs were very attention to details and professional. I felt truly relax and happy while staying at this hotel and do hope to come back again.

The hotel with a sense of history, especially the elevator, is a bit interesting. It is very close to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Kangxi Lake. It takes about 5 minutes to walk. It is not convenient to park at the entrance. We have a breakfast and dinner, and things are quite rich. It is quite satisfactory to eat along the way in Sri Lanka. The hotel staff is also very nice, and the quiet room is so the view outside the window is poor.
