Queen's Hotel Kandy - 160 Years of Heritage & Luxury
"Right in the city center across The Temple of Tooth Relic and the lake. A very historic hotel with a beautiful interior. So glad finally can try the classic lift. Love it"
Selene City Hotel
"The hotel was unremarkable overall. The location listed on both Airbnb and Google Maps was inaccurate, which made finding the place confusing when we arrived in Kandy. We thought that hotel is in the city center but was 5km away. The hotel itself is fine, but the room felt like a cheaply renovated space right next to a noisy road. On the positive side, the price was reasonable and the room was clean. Ultimately, my experience was forgettable—this is the kind of place I won’t remember minutes after leaving."
The Grand Kandyan
"My daughter's wedding was well organized. The staff was very friendly. The food was very clean and delicious. They served it responsibly. A highly recommended hotel."
Mount Blue Kandy
"This was our first hotel spot in Sri Lanka and it turned our to be our family's favorite one. Everyone including the children loved this place, from the rooms, view, service and food everything was excellent. Hotel staff from the reception till the kitchen everyone is super friendly and welcoming. View is out class 👌 Early morning if you wake and stand in the balcony you will receive fresh oxygen all around with a beautiful view of greenery all around, amazing temples, flowing river, mountains and much more. A special mention for Chef Ranjeet and Mr. Khan both are brilliant in their field. We have decided to visit Sri Lanka once again and stay in this lovely hotel. Not forgetting the fabulous swimming pool where you can chill with your loved ones and take amazing memorable pictures 📷 All i would say this is all in one a perfect place to spend your holidays whenever you plan a trip to Refreshingly beautiful Sri Lanka 🇱🇰"
Sevana City Hotel
"Great location, close to the tourist center. Friendly staff, clean room. A decent option for a day or two."
Earl's Regency Hotel
"The hotel is located in the beautiful countryside. The staff was excellent, and the room was clean and comfortable. I liked Ilon's entrance. They asked me about allergies, and the next day, they made sure I was well taken care of during breakfast. I’d stay there again."
Cassendra Hotel Kandy
"Premium rooms, friendly staff, and veg options available.* A special shout-out to Dilrukshi — she was so sweet and helpful, and welcomed us with the most beautiful smile. Made our stay even better..."
Atelier Kandy - Boutique Art Hotel & Gallery
"We come here regularly for the monthly karaoke nights, which are always a ton of fun - or to spend some time in the tranquil courtyard. An absolutely lovely place. Highly recommended if you're looking for a respite away from the busy-ness of Kandy without traveling far into the hills!"
The Blue Pillars Kandy
"had a very calm and pleasant experience at BluePillars Kandy. The hotel's perfect location allowed me to walk to all the key places in Kandy with ease. The food was amazing, adding to the overall enjoyment of my stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kandy!"

The Golden Crown Hotel
"Was very good especially Mr Naveen who was on duty who helped so much . He excellent person , really the man of the day as he helped on so many occasions. I did not like their telephone system as I am having trouble calling services , it was very noisy and I could not place my order right , so please management if you can fix this issue urgently ."
Kandy Myst by Cinnamon
"The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the room size is suitable for three guests. The overall atmosphere is very pleasant, with a welcoming ambiance throughout the property. The staff are friendly, professional, and highly attentive. The rooftop pool offers a wonderful setting with a great view, and the food is excellent—particularly the dinner served at the rooftop restaurant. Overall, the hotel offers very good value for money considering the quality of service and facilities."
Taru Villas Kandy
"As soon as you enter the door, it feels like you have entered another world. The biggest feature of the hotel is that the dinner is so delicious. The cooking skills and taste are comparable to those of a five-star chef. Anyway, I like it 😘"
Amaya Hills Kandy
"Very difficult to reach as the road is very narrow and steep. Breakfast was good with quite a lot selection. But the coffee was not nice, tea was much better. It’s a quite old hotel, and the service was not that attentive."
Fox Kandy by Fox Resorts - Luxury in the Mist
"What's good: The hotel is secluded, beautifully maintained grounds, a wonderful view from the top, plenty of aesthetically pleasing photo spots, and a relatively well-appointed room. What's bad: Since the hotel is located at an altitude, unfortunately, we didn't get to experience the joys of the pool (after being caught in the eye of a cyclone on the way, we would have been happy to swim and warm up in the warm water, but the water in the pool was cold; this is a major drawback given that swimming is one of the main activities/entertainments on the property). The hotel restaurant could use some training for its chefs: when you're hungry, as we were, of course, any food seems delicious, but ours, alas, was not. Our selection wasn't particularly sophisticated, but rather poorly prepared: Mushroom cappuccino, garlic prawns, chicken biriyani, two lion beers. The mushroom soup was bland, with no hint of mushrooms, the shrimp were severely overcooked, and I practically cried when I ate the chicken, even though I asked the waiter "no spicy, please." Not only was the chicken so dry it tasted more like snakeskin, but the spices burned my mouth. Perhaps we were just "lucky" with the food, but unfortunately, dinner for less than 11,000 Sri Lankan rupees wasn't impressive. Breakfast, however, was decent (omelet, beans, some meat, grilled vegetables, fruit, pastries, fruit shake, water). The staff was polite, and everyone tried their best, both at the hotel and in the restaurant. Yes, the road to the hotel isn't for the faint of heart: the road is poorly paved in places, and there's a steep switchback uphill. But if you're a seasoned hiker and even a season-long biker like us, the road to the hotel won't be too daunting. Recommendations for the hotel: We were missing a clothes dryer. For those who use the pool or get caught in heavy rain, this is a necessary item. Please provide a replacement."
Skyloft Kandy by Aaradhya
"This was our second visit to Skyloft Kandy, and this time we had the pleasure of bringing our parents along. Just like our first stay, we had a wonderful experience. The hotel offers a calm and peaceful atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The views are absolutely beautiful, and the serene surroundings make the stay even more enjoyable. A great choice for anyone looking for a quiet getaway in Kandy. We look forward to visiting again!"
The Trees, Kandy
"Facilities: The facilities are very new and should be relatively good in this area. There is an infinity pool on the top floor, and the view of the town is great. Hygiene: It is very clean and efficient overall Environment: It is very close to the observation deck in Kandy Service: The check-in efficiency is high, the service staff is very friendly, and there is a little monkey on the balcony and he actively asked me to see it"
Hotel Casamara
"Ok 3 star. Location central with good site access. Rooms tired (numerous broken parts) but fine. Street facing rooms with balcony have a nice outlook. Pool looked good - but didn’t use. Breakfast ok, generous amounts though. Doing some front of house renos which should freshen that part up a bit. Most staff very nice, some questionable but that could be anything. Wouldn’t say stay, but wouldn’t say don’t."
The Radh Hotel
"The hotel boasts a prime location in close proximity to the Maligawa and the lake. The accommodations are well-maintained and equipped with ample amenities for a comfortable stay. It's worth noting that the rates may be slightly higher compared to other lodging options in the area."
Serene Kandy
"We enjoyed staying at Serene Kandy for a week. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good. We love Sri Lanka omelettes!! The view from our balcony was spectacular. And the rooftop swimming pool was great for morning and evening swims. Thank you for having us."
Thilanka Hotel Kandy
"Terrible"
Golden Sky Hotel & Wellness
"Great food, clean rooms, and a very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend it and would certainly revisit again!!!"
Suki Villa with free Breakfast
"Everything is fine, the hosts are attentive and responsive, the location is good, the views are gorgeous, the breakfast is not bad, the room is also in good condition, it’s perfect for a couple of days, I recommend 👍"
Hotel Ameliya
Bethel Rest Homestay
"You should stay at least two days, possibly longer. The rooms are very spacious and bright and friendly, the location is great for discovering Kandy, and the breakfast is delicious. The family is very warm-hearted and knowledgeable about Kandy and Sri Lanka. We did the cooking class and can't wait to try out some of the dishes at home."
Kings Ridge Kandy
"Calm and quiet environment with comfortable rooms. Bathrooms are also neat and clean. Depending on what you need as a traveler, if you want to just have a clean bed and relax 8-10 hours, this is the place."
