Had low expectations, but this hotel truly surprised me in the best way! The scenery is stunning, and the rooftop pool is absolutely beautiful. The welcome drink had a slightly bitter, herbal taste which I actually loved – perfect for summer. I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh scent of the towels after showering and the bedding when I lay down; it made everything feel so comfortable. A truly delightful stay, highly recommended!

The Trees is easily one of the best stays in Kandy. The location on Rajapihilla Mawatha is incredibly peaceful and surrounded by lush greenery, yet it's just a short distance from the lake and city center. The rooms are spotless, highly modern, and very comfortable, featuring incredible floor-to-ceiling windows. The absolute highlight of our stay was the rooftop infinity pool—the panoramic views overlooking Kandy Lake and the surrounding mountains are simply breathtaking, especially at sunset! The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious with a great mix of local and Western options. Pro-tip: Definitely book a lake-view room if you can. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kandy!

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. The staff were amazing, friendly, and always helpful, which made the stay even more pleasant. A small tip for future guests — if you want the scenic view of the beautiful Kandy Lake, book the Superior Room, as the Deluxe Room faces the road. Also, take note that after 11:30 PM there is no room service, and food delivery platforms may not be available either due to closures or limited riders/drivers at night. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and a great experience.

Stunning hotel with a perfect view of the lake and Tooth Relic Temple. The staff are very welcoming and check-in experience was smooth. The room was very spacious and clean with good room service food. Recommend to sit by the infinity pool to try local arrack drink and freshly baked pizza while enjoying the good view.

Hotel is good, they failed to mention there is construction happening right next door and it's LOUD. We were assured it will end at 5, didn't end till 6 so we moved rooms. Dinner & breakfast were both limited. Kids enjoyed the pool.
