"The hotel is beautiful. We booked a partial sea view room in the main building, which has a maximum floor of 17. We were assigned a room on the 15th floor, and the ocean was visible diagonally in front of the window. The hotel also has an annex building, which appears to be about 10 stories high. When we booked, the Ocean Front room in the annex was the same price as the partial sea view room in the main building and included three breakfasts. After researching and reading reviews saying the main building was recently renovated and newer, we chose the main building room. The hotel entrance is surrounded by palm trees, and the lobby is quite grand. A path leading to the swimming pool from the side entrance has fountains on both sides, which are beautifully lit at night. The swimming pool isn't large, but it's surrounded by rows of beach chairs. Walking across the pool and out of the hotel leads directly to the beach – incredibly convenient! On our first day, we took photos and played in the water on the beach. The hotel provides dedicated lounge chairs and towels. Sun umbrellas cost an extra $30. After playing for a while, we went back to the hotel pool. Lying on a beach chair listening to live music, with staff offering complimentary snacks like frozen mango chunks, strawberry smoothies, and frozen coconut milk—small portions, but incredibly refreshing—were delightful. Free ice water, sunscreen, and towels were also available by the pool. The next day, I got up early to watch the sunrise on the beach. What I loved most was the hotel's buffet breakfast: $46 per person, $22 for children. Our room included two breakfasts; the selection was vast, and everything was delicious. The fruit was huge—blueberries and blackberries were much larger and sweeter than those in the Bay Area. The melons were also very sweet! Excellent value for money! The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Lincoln Street, perfect for a relaxing evening stroll. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Miami!"

"Great hotel a few meters from the beach. Rooms A bit outdated. They provide 2 chairs and towels at the beach and pool. Heated pool and jacuzzi along with cocktail bar at the last floor with view to the city. Highly recommend"

"really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was polite and professional, and the room was cleaned every single day. Everything in the room felt new and spotless — they even vacuumed daily. The room had a fridge and a TV, and besides the air conditioner, there was also a ceiling fan, which kept the temperature cool and comfortable at all times. Definitely deserves 5 stars!"

"Stayed for two nights room only. I really liked the design of the hotel, artwork and facilities. The pool area is really nice and they have their own sun beds on Miami Beach which are complementary for hotel guests. Hotel is about 1 street back from the beach but still a wonderful location. The room was comfortable without being spectacular, everything worked and it was a decent size. Rooms are not as interestingly designed as the rest of the hotel. All staff I talked to were very nice and helpful but at both checkin and checkout there were long lines to speak to someone. We waited over 20 mins to start the checkin process. Overall I would be happy to stay at The Gates Hotel again."

"It was for the purpose of the exhibition, but it was very good because it was close to the Miami Convention and there were many good restaurants and beaches across the street."

"It was average. The hotel was busy just after the electronic music festival. The extra cash I paid in US dollars was less than 900 RMB, which is about 300-400 RMB in China. The Cuban restaurant downstairs offers 15% discount for meals, but meals are expensive in the US and you have to tip. It's expensive, but it's close to the beach and it's a 5-10 minute walk to South Beach."

"A great hotel for beach recreation! Ocean at 100m, Ouche Drive Street only with a bike and pedestrian track. Bicycle rental is free for 1 hour, but not particularly controlled, you can roll more: there are all rolling opportunities, long embankment for dozens of kilometers. The room is chic! Big, with a cup of excellent coffee in the morning. Bed is comfortable, soft, towels can be changed every day, Beach towels are issued free of charge. The balcony is not available, but there is no need. The atmosphere of the holiday!!!"
