"Absolutely loved this hotel! The natural environment here is fantastic. It's just a 10-15 minute drive from Tissa Lake. I arrived in the morning to the peaceful sounds of crickets and frogs. It was also a full moon that night, which made the scenery even more stunning. The swimming pool is impressively large too. I stayed on the ground floor, which meant I could step right out onto the lawn from my room. The hotel offers great value for money; the prices are reasonable and the rooms are quite spacious. It's noticeably cheaper than hotels situated closer to Yala National Park. I highly recommend booking the breakfast and dinner package. There aren't many other dining options nearby, and more importantly, the buffet is absolutely delicious!!! They offer a great variety of Western dishes, incredibly sweet fruits, and even sushi, making it very suitable for the Chinese palate. For our morning safari, we requested a packed meal from the hotel. It was incredibly generous, including water, various drinks, juice, sandwiches, and cake – truly more than we could finish! Upon our return, breakfast was still ongoing. I explained to a staff member that I was feeling quite hot and asked if I could get a drink. She was very accommodating, assuring me it was absolutely fine, but did clarify that since we had taken a packed breakfast, we wouldn't be able to have another full meal in the dining area."

"A luxurious hotel with excellent interior design. The rooms are a bit dated, but there's still a colonial charm, even in the slightly worn furniture. We stayed in October. It was very uncrowded. The hotel was empty. We explored everything. We used the fitness center—there's a good selection of exercise machines. The hotel has live music at various times. Animals roam the hotel; we saw a jerboa, rabbits, mongooses, a monitor lizard, and monkeys in the trees by the golf course. Ask for half board—there's nowhere to dine nearby. The ocean is mesmerizing in its power and beauty. The waves roar like thunder. We didn't swim; the red flag was on, and the waves were nearly 3 meters high, with sand. Overall, we were pleased with our stay."

"Very close to Lake Thieu, the room is about 30 square meters, consistent with the picture, wild hotel, furniture facilities do not have too high expectations, there is a small creature inside is normal and acceptable. Someone helped carry luggage to the room when staying at the hotel. The dinner was very rich, the meal was included in the reservation, which was better than the restaurant we had eaten a few days ago, and the price was super high. Service in the meal is also good. "Out of the 5 days I spent in Sri Lanka, this hotel was by far my favorite and the most satisfying! It's located right next to Yala National Park, sharing the same grounds as the Hilton resort, so you'll spot various animals quite often. We stayed in a jungle chalet, and it was incredibly clean! Both the AC and fan were very quiet. Every staff member was so nice and friendly. We were able to pre-order breakfast boxes for our early morning safari, and on our departure day, since we were leaving too early for lunch (we had booked a full-board package), they even prepared lunch boxes for us to take on the road. The service was absolutely excellent! And the value for money is fantastic!! Highly, highly recommended!"

"The room was large, but there were very few electrical outlets; all the outlets were plugged into light sockets, so you had to unplug them to charge your power bank or phone. The room was dimly lit, which might be the design, but we were worried about missing anything while packing our things. The food options were limited, but you could try their buffet, which wasn't expensive. The service was poor, and the staff's English wasn't very good. My friend got bitten on the finger by an insect in the bathroom, causing it to swell and turn red. When we went to the front desk for help, they were indifferent and said they didn't know if the bite had occurred on the hotel grounds. They didn't treat the wound immediately and even sent someone to the room to check what kind of insect it was. We just wanted some alcohol to treat the bite. What was supposed to be a pleasant trip turned sour. It's quite close to the zoo, about 15 minutes away, but we'll probably not stay here next time; staying by the lake would be more convenient."
