"Stayed 2 nights at this lovely place. Hotel was very near the train station and within walking distance to many restaurants and cafes. The staff at this hotel were warm and I felt really taken care of. We were able to understand each other with simple English and Japanese. My room was spacious and had a great view of the sea and sunrise! The onsen in the room was big and I had a good time soaking in it. On my check out day, the staff gave me a back of kiwis that were farmed by the owner of the hotel. Would love to come back here again when I have chance!"

"Hotel staff are excellent. The photos on trip.com may not correspond to the room style but staff honoured the one shown. Room is very spacious and clean. Private onsen is very nice. Hotel location is very convenient and many good dining options withjn close walking distance. Parking is conveniently located next to hotel and it’s free. Staff even valet parked our car when we checked in. The front desk lady we dealt with is probably one of the most helpful, patient and polite hotel staff we’ve met. If I manage a hotel, I would want to hire her."

"It's a bit of a walk from ITO station with a suitcase. A taxi is about 800-1000 yen. There's no water cooler or coffee machine. The five onsen are enough for everyone. Breakfast is modest, but the scrambled eggs and sausages are okay.
But the Japanese-style room with a view of the city and mountains is fantastic! The mountain air and sea are fantastic! The sea is also about 20 minutes away, so it's a good walk."

"The hotel's exterior and public areas are quite aesthetically pleasing. It seems to cater more to Japanese elderly families, with excellent accessibility features, even seating in the elevators. The breakfast quality is good, offering grilled fish and limited quantities of splendid alfonsino fillets. However, it's not very kid-friendly, as the high-quality ingredients are either raw or have bones, making them difficult for children to eat. I don't speak Japanese but can understand a little. There was a girl at the front desk who spoke Chinese. When a Japanese staff member told the Chinese-speaking front desk that I was Chinese and wanted her to communicate with me, that girl very stiffly refused, which left a bad impression. Other staff members were quite polite. The room was dim and the TV was old. In summary, I don't recommend this hotel for families with children, but it could be considered for families with elderly members."

"After exiting the station, cross the street, walk straight down the alley with the bakery at the entrance, turn right when you see a market, walk a short distance and you'll see a white building a little in front of the Central Bank across the street; that's it. The entrance is small and inconspicuous; I've walked past it myself. The room is fairly spacious, the furniture is simple, but there's a small desk and all the necessary amenities. There are many places to eat nearby, and a microwave is available in the corridor near the elevator. The area outside is relatively quiet without car noise, but some guests open and close the door loudly in the middle of the night, which is disturbing. For the price and location, it's worth it."

"My family and I stayed here for three nights, two in a modern Japanese-style room (和モダン「粋」-sui-和室) (breakfast included) and one in a Japanese-style room in the main building (和風ルーム (main building)).
My family loved the tatami rooms, so both were excellent experiences. The hotel breakfast is also highly recommended. The Japanese breakfast includes a small hot pot and freshly steamed rice in a clay pot, perfect for Chinese palates who love hot food. It offers a balanced selection of fish, meat, eggs, and dairy. One day, the hotel even had a Chinese-speaking staff member take care of our table, which was incredibly thoughtful.
We also highly recommend the hot springs. The large baths were wonderful, and they have the only drinkable hot spring water in Ito, which is good for your digestion.
I signed up for a membership during my stay and would love to stay here again!"

"The location is very good, 5 minutes walk from the station, opposite McDonald's and a local fruit shop. The concierge grandfather will wait for you at the door with a list, and the English is very fluent. I didn't set a meal, I went to eat the barbecue of Yuzumei's lonely gourmet. Booked sea view room, less than 800, on the 3rd floor, the restaurant is on the same floor, the corridor has a taste of food... The room is huge, the earth porch is set, the corridor simple kitchen (the stove is sealed), the corridor dressing table, and a room, the balcony is unobstructed sea view, the brain to make up the prosperity of the bubble economy era. Now the facilities are huge, but they are all clean and can be used... At night, the sea breeze makes the aluminum alloy sliding door squeak, with the sound of the waves, the bathroom has a rubber cloth subsidy, and the wall is cracked. The public soup is on the basement floor, and the outdoor pool can see the sea view."

"The room was spacious, and opening the window every day made me feel refreshed. The host spoke fluent English and a little Chinese.
One thing to note is that the host doesn't like guests using disposable hotel amenities, so please avoid using them during your stay.
Having stayed in hotels several times before in Japan, I assumed the first time I stayed at a B&B that there wouldn't be housekeeping service. This time, I brought disposable items, but I didn't expect to be offended.
The hotel also provides morning and evening pick-up and drop-off services, which is not very convenient for traveling on your own."

"We were very satisfied with both the room and the service. I highly recommend booking a package that includes both breakfast and dinner to experience the full Japanese service. For families or couples, after checking in, you can use the in-room phone (dial 8) to reserve a 50-minute private family bath session with the front desk. (You might be able to get the key a bit earlier depending on availability.) The cost is about 1680 JPY, which is quite reasonable. Prices for additional drinks, meals, and SPA services are also within a sensible range.
One thing to note is that the hotel is located halfway up a hill, so I don't recommend walking there if you have large luggage. You can contact the hotel in advance to inquire about shuttle bus options or take a taxi from Ito Station. If you absolutely must walk, do not follow Google Maps' route from Minami-Ito Station, as this path involves climbing stairs and going over a hill."

AAnonymous UserIt’s a very charming place with a real wabi-sabi atmosphere - simple, quiet, and full of nostalgic beauty. Quite old-fashioned, but well maintained. This spot became popular on a Russian platform, so there are many tourists from Russia ( me as well) . When I visited the onsen, there were seven people in total - all Russian girls. Overall, it doesn’t stop you from having a great rest. However, it’s not really suitable for a honeymoon, as my husband and I were separated the whole time — there are no mixed onsens for men and women, probably because the place is now mostly visited by foreigners.
When we checked out, they kindly drove us back to the station. I left with a complete sense of relaxation. Thank you!

GGuest UserThe number one aspect that sets Hinodeya apart is the hospitality and wholesomeness of the experience. Hinodeya is not limited to just a room that you sleep in. Rather, every aspect of our stay in Ito was intertwined with the wonderful owner and thoughtful staff. From our arrival to departure, our experience was nothing but pleasant. The breakfast provides undeniable value, you get so much compared to what you pay for. For dinner, we recommend the crab dinner, though it may be seasonal, but you get a taste of a majority of the local specialties all in one sitting. The owner of Hinodeya truly cares about your experience, and is an excellent resource when exploring Ito. The staff are compassionate and attentive, checking in constantly throughout our stay to make sure we were having a good time. The rooms are very clean, and the onsen is a one-of-a-kind experience not found anywhere else.

VVegan 美味しいI had a fantastic experience at Forest Glaming! The staff, including Mr. Terada & the cool dude with long hair, were not only incredibly friendly but also made an effort to communicate with me in English and encouraged my attempts at speaking Japanese. Despite missing the shuttle bus, Mr. Terada kindly came to pick me up. The resort is a serene haven, offering tranquility and the cleanest toilets I've ever encountered. ✨Being tented near the shower and toilet facilities was an added bonus. 😮💨The food was outstanding, especially the aged domestic beef 🍖 BBQ. The only disappointment was not having the chance to share the wonderful dinner with the staff. I totally recommend Forest Glaming to anyone seeking a rejuvenating escape with exceptional service and facilities. The staff's warmth and willingness to engage in different languages truly enhanced my stay. Fantabulous!!! 😍🥰

Cleanliness: Very clean, nothing to fault.
Environment: Located on an uphill slope, surrounded by residential areas, it's very quiet. You can also see the ocean horizon from the room, which is beautiful.
Service: The service is very Japanese and thorough, they try their best to meet your requests. The front desk staff's English is also good, and they explain the hotel's facilities and restaurants in detail.
Food: The buffet at the restaurant is quite good.

XXiaomuMUSI”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions.
The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families.
It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful.
When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Thank you very much🥹

GGuest UserMy family booked a triple room, but the owner moved us to room 205, which has twin beds and a tatami mat. The room is spacious enough for 5-6 people. It also has a kitchen. Drinks are free in the lobby on the first floor, making it a pleasant place to sit and play games in the evening. From Izu Kogen Station to the hotel, you'll need to schedule a pick-up or take a taxi. The roads are narrow and uphill, making it difficult to lug luggage. The area is quiet, with a view of the sea.

GGuest UserBeautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus.
Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!

GGuest UserThe structure seems to be a legacy of the bubble era. The luxurious layout allows you to move between the main building and each building via pedestrians.
It's reminiscent of the 5-star hotels of Phuket and Bali of the past. The all-inclusive plan also feels like good value.
Unfortunately, however, maintenance of the interior and exterior has not kept up, and various parts are badly deteriorated. The bathhouse is also made of good granite, so it should be polished properly. The exterior walls are so black that you want to use a Karcher cleaner. I wish it was a little cleaner.

MMic890The staff here are very helpful and polite, they even helped me to contact the next hotel for clarification. Only I recommend them to build a store room around the parking lot so that the huge size of the luggage can be left there for overseas traveller and no need to bring up to the hotel by walking the long stairs, if any. Also, they can provide a simple map in the website to locate their exact hotel location and nearby shops, cafe and supermarket, train station, etc. For me, I had a great experience spent in this hotel. If you like to see sunrise, it also a good place to stay in ocean view room. If you like running, you can run along the hill side with wonderful ocean view.
