Jess0901Excellent Stay at Hotel Mars Garden Wood Gotemba
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mars Garden Wood Gotemba. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed and offered a relaxing outdoor onsen after a long day of sightseeing.
The location is convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and shopping areas. The hotel facilities, including the onsen, were excellent and provided a perfect way to unwind.
Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in Japan. We highly recommend Hotel Mars Garden Wood Gotemba and would definitely stay here again on our next visit.
Note to forget, view of Mount Fuji from the hotel made our stay even more memorable.

Guest UserThis hotel is rather new. Only a 5 minutes drive to Gotemba premium outlet. Free parking at hotel. Spacious modern room with lovely Mt Fuji view. Breakfast is ala carte and limited variety. But yummy still. 7/eleven is a 5 minutes walk away. We stayed for 4 nights. and on the second night had a 5.6 earthquake experience. Building shook and everyone is safe. Thank God. Another good thing is there is a washing machine with dryer. Will come back and stay if I and back to Gotemba. The last trip we stayed at Clad hotel which is nice and very convenient as it's just at the premium outlet. If you drive I will recommend to stay at Edit X seven instead.

The hotel isn't very conveniently located. It's relatively close to the Tomei Gotemba bus stop but not close to the Outlets or any convenience stores.
On a clear day, you can see Mount Fuji from the window, and also from the breakfast area, which is a nice touch.
The room was small, and the bathroom was just average.
However, the Japanese staff at the front desk had a terrible attitude!
Also, the Ctrip page isn't clear enough. It should clearly state in large font whether it's a double bed room or a twin bed room! My friend and I were shocked to find a 1.35-meter bed. We went to the lobby to ask for a room change, even offering to pay the difference, but the front desk was unhelpful, coldly stating it was either book another room or no!

Anonymous UserOverall, I'm satisfied. The room was quite spacious and well-equipped, even featuring a private indoor hot spring tub, though I didn't get around to using it. I suspect it was a later addition, and from my photos, it looks like the hotel might have originally been in the building with the large logo in front, but the map hasn't been updated. It's actually in the building behind where I'm pointing now, so don't make the mistake of going to the wrong one! The main draw was the affordable price. We were exhausted from shopping at Gotemba and booked it last minute for less than 300 yuan. Some rooms, like ours, offered views of Mount Fuji, though they were partially obstructed by other buildings. If you walk a bit further from the hotel to the open field, you can capture a beautiful panoramic view of Mount Fuji. It's quite close to Gotemba Premium Outlets but a bit out of the way, making taxis inconvenient. However, you can walk about 1 km to catch the free shuttle bus for the Outlets; just follow your navigation.

Every year when I visit Tokinosumika, I see this accommodation. I've always wanted to stay there, and my dream finally came true. The inside was spacious, and the kids absolutely loved it! Being able to use the Kirakubo baths as much as we wanted was the absolute best part! The only thing was that the lighting felt a bit dim, but that was fine too. I definitely want to stay here again!!

Guest UserI booked a room based on the results of a soccer match, so I searched for a cheap place that was available for weekend reservations.
I'm a non-smoker, so I had no choice but to choose a room that allowed smoking, but I was very satisfied with the large public bath and the room, which had a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji.
Breakfast was less crowded than I expected, so I was able to eat it, and they even refilled my water bottle!
I was impressed with the service, which really increased my satisfaction with my trip!

Guest UserThe good points include a pretty good location, not far from the main outlet mall. We weren't prepared for what awaited us; upon entering the hotel, we weren't greeted, but instead, someone just shouted out our room number and that it would be opened shortly. The entrance area wasn't very clean, but that's a minor detail. After entering the room itself, an overwhelmingly unpleasant smell of stale smoke hit us—this was probably the biggest downside. Then you start noticing various 'details': a meticulously packaged used ******* in a bag, and on the bottom shelf of the desk, some 18+ themed magazines. When we booked this hotel, there was no 'Adult-only' disclaimer, which caused a bit of a surprise. Overall, if you're not bothered by the smell of smoke and various adult paraphernalia, and you're traveling without children, I think it's okay for one night. We're giving this hotel a 6/10 and moving on to the next one.
