Hotels with WiFi in Lombok

This was a treat as it’s a birthday celebration but it soon turned into a series of unfortunate events. The service and staff are amazing but their rooms have a serious bug problem. We woke up in the middle of the night to find our pillows covered with winged bugs that looked like ants, they were in the pillow and on the pillow, upon inspection there were more on the headboard and on the sofa by the window. We started to also notice dust piles on the floor in the room too, so we suspect they are eating at the wood. It was pretty alarming to find and have bugs crawling on your bed and we soon found out it was on our bags too. A staff member was quick to come to our room to inspect but the main team have already gone home. They allowed us to switch rooms but it looks like the problem is in the other room too. By the bed, more dust piles and on the sofa more bugs. It’s midnight so we sprayed the bed with bug spray and hope no more will crawl on us. As well as this their sink was blocked. We are both adventurous people, slept in the rainforest before, camped etc so we are not scared of bugs but when these could be termites or carpenter ants, our biggest worry is bringing them home. It’s not a nice situation for them either given their buildings are 200 years old. The next morning comes and the situation was not handled like a luxury hotel would. No one came to speak to us about it and no apology until I mentioned it at reception. The room they moved us to was also a smaller one so we effectively paid for a bigger room that we couldn’t stay in, this also wasn’t mentioned. There were positives like free bike usage, good cocktails, board games in lobby and a clean pool but I wouldn’t say this is a luxury hotel but more like a 3 star hotel with a 5 star mask. All in all, a birthday that wasn’t a treat.

I actually cried when we left this villa! I'm truly speechless when it comes to describing the range of emotions and experiences that made up our vacation! It was unforgettable! The warmth and responsiveness of the staff, the excellent location, the cleanliness and comfort, the peace and quiet... I could go on forever! Everything was perfect, without exception – the room, the design, the grounds. The housekeeping was impeccable, not a speck of dust in the room, and the grounds were constantly maintained. The beach is just a stone's throw away, the water is crystal clear, there are lots of turtles, and beautiful fish. We walked at low tide to the turn on the left side, and from there, we started snorkeling along the edge of the reef where turtles gather in groups of 3-5. We even saw a venerable lady about a meter long. It's incredibly beautiful, they look like they're flying. Larger fish also swim in from the deep there. There are cats on the hotel grounds, so don't be lazy, pack a bag of cat food in your suitcase, and they'll thank you with their purrs. Not far from the hotel, there's a cat shelter where they treat sick animals, and also sell food and souvenirs, with the proceeds going towards animal care. Don't miss catching at least one sunrise and watching a sunset; photos simply don't do the beauty justice. After swimming to our heart's content and enjoying delicious dinners, we slept like babies on the comfortable beds, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of birdsong. It was a vacation for the mind and body, feeling as if we were in paradise. A special thank you to the staff who create this incredible atmosphere.

This hotel is located on the west side of the island and has 20 rooms, with 10 on the ground floor by the pool and 10 on the second floor overlooking the pool. The rooms are fresh, featuring a bed, nightstands, a carved table, a marble bench, a desk with drawers, a TV, a mini-fridge, a kettle, cups, and glasses. Bottled water is provided. On the balcony, you'll find a drying rack and a table with chairs. Breakfast is made to order, though the juices are not fresh. The bathroom is spacious with a good mirror, and the lighting throughout is excellent. Of course, there's air conditioning. On-site, there's a shop, a cafe, bicycle rentals (50k per day), electric scooter rentals (200k per day), snorkeling tours (200k), and massages (200k). The beach is a mere 2-minute walk away. Overall, it's a pleasant atmosphere.

location: 4.5/5 - not far from the airport. about 40 mins to an hour. secluded. perfect for staying in and spending time and money on the services they provided service: 4.9/5 - the staff are friendly, attentive, helpful all that without being ‘too much’. any requests must be liaised through whatsapp, since they don’t have a phone in the villa, they will reply within 10 minutes. the 0.1 minus was bc i put a special request and they didn’t bother to do it. tried to book a massage appointment last minute too bad they have no availability. food: dinner 5/5 - prices after tax are still very affordable. had steak & frites for less than rm60 (Malaysia could neverrrrr). cocktails selections are good and strong. breakfast 4.5 - wide selections but nothing extraordinary. they have eggs station but the eggs were bland. your normal breakfast buffet spread mix of both asians and western price: a little on the higher side and i’ve spent a fair share of staying in nice resorts around Lombok but no complaints because i know what i wanted

I requested a room with one large bed instead of two singles when I booked, and again at check-in. They nodded at reception and then ignored it, even though half the hotel was empty. Everywhere, they try to force extra commissions on you when you order anything in the restaurant. The menu should always show the final price; all costs (taxes and so on) should be included. For example, I take a ready-made coffee to go for $4, and they try to tack on a service charge... What service? I'm taking it out, they're not cleaning my table, not giving me a massage. They don't provide an answer. We're not buying coffee beans that they need to prepare and turn into coffee with a service, are we? Let's then charge a land tax, the chef's health insurance, and a disposal fee for the toilet. Are you kidding me? I've visited several cafes in Bali, and nowhere was this the case! One time I encountered it, I called the police and they immediately cancelled all extra charges! Keep this in mind. It's not about the money, but deception is unacceptable.

The hotel is conveniently located on the west side of the island. A road connects the west side to the east, passing through the center of the island; it's about a 30-minute walk or a 10-minute scooter ride. The hotel grounds are well-maintained, lush with greenery, and feature a pool, bar, and breakfast service. The only minor downside is that after room cleaning, towels were sometimes forgotten or taken without new ones being provided, or toilet paper was missed. It's not critical, as you can always go to the front desk and ask. Overall, it was a pleasant stay here, and I recommend it.

I recently stayed at this hotel and honestly… I’m still kind of amazed, though I can’t quite put my finger on exactly why. It’s one of those places that just feels good the moment you arrive — or at least, I think it did. Something about the whole atmosphere gave off this calm, welcoming energy, even if I can’t fully explain it. The overall experience was… honestly, really lovely. I don’t know if it was the way everything seemed to run so smoothly, or just the general vibe, but it made me feel comfortable in a way that surprised me. Everyone I interacted with seemed genuinely nice — or at least, it felt that way — which made the stay feel more personal and warm. There was this sense of everything being thought through. I couldn’t necessarily point to one specific thing that made it stand out, but the combination of everything — the ambiance, the way things were handled, just the overall feeling — made it seem almost effortless. It’s like everything worked together quietly in the background to make the stay good without needing to shout about it. Even though I can’t name exact details, I had this strong sense throughout my time there that I was being taken care of in a subtle, reassuring way. It wasn’t loud or flashy, just consistently good. The environment felt balanced, almost like it understood exactly how to make guests feel at ease without trying too hard. I left feeling genuinely happy and strangely relaxed — the kind of feeling that sneaks up on you when everything just… works. And even if I can’t explain every reason why, I know I walked away with a really positive impression. I’d absolutely consider staying here again. Probably more than just consider, honestly.

”I had a pleasant stay at Lombok Plaza Hotel with a clean, spacious room, but the air conditioning was less than ideal. Despite the room’s overall comfort, the AC didn’t cool the room sufficiently, which might be due to its location. This is something that could definitely be improved. Other than that, the hotel was a nice choice for a relaxed stay.

I was worried because there were many bad reviews on other sites, but when I went, things had improved. The pool was cleaned by staff every morning. The tap water was clean. The air conditioning worked well. The deluxe pool room has a small refrigerator. Drinking water is available at the front desk, you can drink as much as you like and bring it to your room in a glass pot. Breakfast is served buffet-style from 7:30 AM at the shabu-shabu restaurant by the beach, which seems to be part of the same group. There were various dishes, and I enjoyed eating while looking at the sea.

Good hotel, enjoyed everything. The pool is great, and it's only a 2-minute walk to the main street, with everything within walking distance. Their snorkeling trips are cheaper than anywhere else; you can pay at the hotel. It's 1100 out on the street, but only 175 here.
