The next morning flight, check-in was in a hurry, the location of the room for us was average, but the room was large, the only disadvantage was that the twin bed was relatively small, and it was not comfortable to sleep with my daughter, because the children slept really well move! The net red restaurant dining experience is very good, the leg of lamb is very tender and tastes good! Stay in rainy days, don't have a taste!

The sand on the beach is very fine and the waves are great for surfing. Just a restaurant, it will be a bit monotonous, but the steak is delicious, and there is a live band, the atmosphere is good. The room was a little stale and a gecko was found.

The hotel is in Senggigi, a little far from Lombok Airport. I used Grab to take a taxi for a little over an hour. The fare was 207k Indonesian rupiah, and it was relatively close to Bangsal Jetty, about 20 minutes by taxi. The decoration style of the hotel is from the 1990s. The overall facilities are a bit dated. There are beaches and swimming pools. It is very comfortable to lie in the sun or soak in the swimming pools on the beach, which is suitable for leisure vacations and dazes. The hotel staff are very welcoming, the breakfast buffet is rich and the taste is good. The only thing I couldn't stand was that the kettle was plastic and it was old and dirty.

We had the first room behind the reception therefore it was a bit noisy as sometimes loud music was playing outside from the dive shop across the street. Overall the hotel was good but we expected a bit more perhaps. The pool was clean and the restaurant was less than stellar. I would have liked to try another hotel in order to compare but I did not have the time after booking three nights at this resort. The main highlight was being close to the main strip with access to bars and restaurants.

The hotel is like a garden with a variety of bougainvillea blossoms. The building density is relatively large and there is a parking lot. The breakfast was hearty and the location was not as good as kila. The drinking water provided in the room is bottled water, the switch is not leaking, and there is a big leak on the floor, almost slipping. The air conditioner leaked the next day and almost slipped. The price is not high, it is not cheap and convenient to live in kila or Sheraton.

Location is very good, just by the beach. But it is on the opposite side of the island than the harbour. So you will have to take horse cart or the walk is 20-25 minutes. Has a swing in the middle of the water just in front of it. Cottages are really nice. The toilet doesnt have a roof but has high walls. So no problem with privacy. It is considered as a style here to make open air toilet. But water was salty. So you will not feel satisfied after shower. Toilet was not good. It didnt flush well. Very old and non mordern fittings. Handshower in toilet didnt work also. But again. Its very remote rural area. Small island. So may be its the the best you can get here. Room was nice and comfy. Big enough. Has safety deposit box. But not as clean as a city hotel since it is beach area. All are cottages. Our cottage was a double deluxe. The staff are sincere but not professional. Couldt get me clear informations about something.

Wonderful experience here. Large spacious room, saltwater pool is good, but barely long/large enough for those who really want to swim. For size of resort grounds, shouldve been bigger. Staff here are excellent, including those who put away cushions from pool furniture each night. My room lacked 2 things, for such a nice resort- handtowels and hand soap. Duh? The one thing that spoilt the hotel is the public showers on the beach. It blocks the sea view from this hotel. a simple low building would've sufficed but it has grass ramps going what looks like 3 storeys high over the wash facilities, blocked off- so no one can climb the stiars or the ramp so what purpose does it serve except to block view of this lovely hotel?

Turtle Beach Hotel in Gili Air is a lovely little beachside hotel on the east side of Gili Air. About a 20 minute walk from the port. You can wheel your suitcases there but it is a bit of a hike. Horse and cart for around $15 AUD probably better. With great snorkelling directly opposite and lots of bars and cafes extremely close to town it’s well located and a little gem. Bikes and snorkelling gear can be hired next door and the island can be easily rode around in about an hour. Set in beautiful traditional gardens, the rooms are wood filled bungalows with mosquito nets and outside showers which are quite novel. Lovely and quiet with excellent air conditioning and a good size fridge / freezer. Staff are lovely and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is a basic set course of a tasty Mie Goreng, Nasi Goreng or eggs with fruit, fruit juice, tea or coffee. Look some TLC is probably needed to bring a few negative aspects up to scratch ... the pebble finish in the shower was incomplete, the toilet didn’t flush well at all and the room was very dark. So this may not suit some but most places in Gili Air are still a work in progress since the earth quake. Sensor lights made walking back at night feel really safe though. But look overall, great value at around $60 AUD per night. I’d come back again.

The room was very dark and rather grim - so much so that one needed to have the light on even in the middle of the day. The bathroom had a low-pressure saltwater shower and a handbasin with only a cold saltwater tap There was no privacy - the only window was open to anyone to peer in - closing the curtain made the room even darker. The room furniture had seen better days - a whole draw was missing from the only storage available. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The hotel seems popular with Italian families - the pool and surrounding area were taken over by noisy children. We had booked for four nights but left after two. The lady owner was very sympathetic and understanding when we explained that the room was not up to the standard we reasonably expected for $165US per night. The male owner was much less friendly and unhelpful. We found a lovely place with a bright clean modern room with its own private beach for well under this price. Our strong advice is to read the poor reviews of this place and look very carefully at the photos. Our honest recommendation based on stays in nine other Lombok hotels is to look elsewhere. This place is dreadful value for money. We chose it because of the good reviews on this site - please tread carefully!

The introduction is incorrect, there is no refrigerator, no phone, no kettle. There are no toiletries, and there is no wash basin in the bathroom. No slippers.

Firstly my wife and i are from the UK, we are both pensioners and in our twilight years have decided to travel, we have travelled all over S E Asia for the last four years and never encountered a bad experience, until now. If you are looking at this with the idea in mind to stay at Kuta Baru, then my advice is don't, you may well regret it. If you do stay just make sure you take photos of your belongings and what goes into the safe and under no circumstances have any dealings with management. I must point out that all the one star reviews about theft and lies and how unhelpful management are in my experience all true, since returning back to the UK four weeks ago it has been a constant battle to get my issues across, I have been through the same process as others with no luck, it is along story and I might miss some things out but here goes. We arrived at the hotel late at night, security showed us to our room, the safe was locked with the door open, security told us it would be sorted in the morning when he could get the key. Two people turned up the next morning and the room safe was fixed so we stashed our money in it. Four days later when we were asked to move rooms we took the money out and there was $200USD missing and £10GBP. We told reception who informed the live in owner, this was the biggest mistake we made, we wanted to call the police but he convinced us that he didn't want other guests to see what was going on with Police all over the place and start asking questions, no problem Mr Glyn I can handle it he told me. Also he told me he had the reputation of the hotel to protect. He informed us that the cctv outside the office had picked up one individual entering the office where the keys to the safes are. And he also said this was suspicious as there should always be 2 people present in the office. Also when he asked other members of staff at reception they said it had happened before and they all had their suspicions but were afraid to say anything. So roll on a few days and the owner informed me he has sacked the culprit but found it difficult because he was a good friend with a wife and child to support. He agreed to refund the money, taking half off our final invoice , this he did 1.500.000 IDR. So there is still roughly 1.500.000 outstanding., plus the owner was doing dodgy deals with other small time crooks with the sole intention of ripping people off. One being a getlemen he introduced us to as an important man in immigration, it turned out he was nothing more than a tour guide, we handed over 1.000.000 deposit to the owner for visa extension which we had to cancel 2 days later because of the corona virus as we were instructed to return to the UK. But that is another story, and once more we are still waiting for the 1.000.000 deposit to be refunded, all the time he kept telling us"no problem Mr Glyn, I promise I will give you money back, it is my responsibility" .
