"I was on a business trip to Weishan Ancient Town for a few days and was attracted to this guesthouse by the pictures on its homepage. The reality was exactly the same as the pictures – very nice and full of ancient charm! The old wooden building with its arched doorways, the small pond in the courtyard with koi, and the many potted plants in the yard all showed how carefully they've been maintained!
What impressed me most was the staff's attitude. They greeted me whenever I came or went, and even shared fruit and roasted tea – it felt as relaxed as visiting a friend's house! They also promptly helped resolve any small issues (superb!)."

The host is very kind and welcoming. He speaks english and is always available to provide helpful information, assist in any way he can, or just to have a chat.

"Thank you for your hospitality during my two-night stay. You were incredibly kind and helpful, both when I arrived before check-in time and when I checked in again after exploring the ancient city. The owner patiently listened to my broken Chinese and spoke slowly and clearly using short phrases, so communication was never a problem.
The cleanliness and amenities were more than sufficient for a comfortable stay. My room was near the entrance on the first floor, so I wondered if the noise of people coming and going at night might be a concern, but it wasn't a problem at all.
On the day of check-out, when I mentioned I would be leaving early in the morning, they told me to leave my room card at the counter and that the hotel entrance door would be open, so I could just leave.
However, when I left my room at 5 AM the next morning, the lights were on at the entrance and the door was clearly slightly ajar. I think they were being considerate because it was still dark. I left Weishan Ancient City with a warm feeling in my heart. Thank you very much.
I would definitely like to stay here again if I have the opportunity."

"Environment: Online reviews and comments described this as the most beautiful guesthouse in Weishan Ancient Town. The wooden structure is charming and the decorations are indeed beautiful. It's located in a great location within the ancient town.
Service: The owner was very friendly, even though I was out early and back late. On my first day, I was working late and the main door was locked, but I called the owner to open it.
Facilities: There are several tea rooms and rest areas, creating a feeling of being nestled in the mountains and by the water. The guesthouse itself has views and a courtyard. However, the bathroom's wet and dry separation wasn't very good, and the shower pressure wasn't very strong.
The convenience of being in the ancient town is great, but the downside is that the old wooden structure has poor sound insulation, and the accommodation space is cramped. The tatami room, about 30 square meters, had a large area dedicated to a tea table. With two suitcases open, it was almost impossible to move around, and people were jumping around on the bed! 😂 The room had a courtyard view, and there was a guqin (a traditional Chinese stringed instrument) area right by the window where children would play and relax, which was quite noisy. Privacy was also poor; I could only keep the curtains drawn. The seats near the entrance were often occupied by people chatting and relaxing.
Hygiene: It can't be compared to chain hotels. Small black spots and particles were found on the bath towels and bedding. There were cobwebs in the bathroom. Being close to nature, some small insects and moths are unavoidable.
Suitable for travelers who are out early and back late, and who prioritize decor and convenience."

This is hands down the most comfortable guesthouse I've ever stayed at in Weishan Ancient City!
🌿 **Regarding the Environment:** The Wabi-sabi design truly captivated me! The entire space is clean and elegant, with thoughtful touches evident everywhere. Both the common areas and the rooms are quiet and therapeutic, making it my ideal serene retreat.
👨🍳 **Regarding the Owner's Service:** I have to give the owner a huge thumbs up! Not only did they proactively offer pick-up and drop-off service, saving me the hassle of dragging my luggage around, but they also specially hand-brewed a cup of coffee for me when I left, which was both heartwarming and a pleasant surprise. Throughout my stay, they were incredibly attentive, helping me solve any issues promptly. It felt just like visiting a friend's home.
In short, both the environment and service at this guesthouse are impeccable. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Weishan! Highly recommend it to anyone who loves peace and quiet and seeks quality experiences~"

"The room is exactly the same as the picture. The wooden room is more distinctive, but the sound insulation is super bad. There are cars coming and going all night. The speech next door is also audible. I didn’t fall asleep all night, but Ban Niang was very enthusiastic and actively coordinated. All kinds of problems need to be solved, and the room is relatively clean. There is no dirt in the corners, and it doesn't matter if you sleep deeply. After all, this price is more suitable."

"The most satisfying accommodation on this trip. The room was very warm, the lighting was very good, and the curtains were opened and it felt very transparent. The whole is clean and refreshing, the air conditioning and hot water are strong, the bath water pressure is large, and it is especially relieved to take a hot bath after a day of playing. MM228271****The most comfortable stop for the trip to Yunnan is Lushan, and the most comfortable place to live is Lushan Lushan Ruyi B&B.
The beginning of the story stems from a window, brushing Xiao Mou book when I was fascinated by the scenery outside the window, think about opening my eyes every morning and opening the curtains is such a scene, how happy it should be...
Later, I did my homework seriously, and added the boss (actually the little sister) WeChat to consult some questions, and confirmed this homestay without hesitation.
The day of check-in was simply beyond expectations. It was really the real scene as shown in the picture. The boss’s little sister was really cute and patient. The small body had a lot of energy. The luggage was not in the words. All kinds of daily necessities were available, and the daily supply was also in place. Emphasis is placed on providing disposable bath towels and slippers!
You can drink tea and coffee in the yard of the hotel. It is really suitable for urban cattle to empty... Finally, I have to emphasize that the bedding of this homestay (and blackout curtains) is the most comfortable one I sleep in during my trip to Yunnan!

It is perfectly located at a few steps from the entrance of the old town, making it easy to transfer luggage from taxi. There are several nice restaurants around which were our favourite there.
The rooms are spaced and reasonably designed. There is a laundry which is super convenient. The environment is quiet with a beautiful covered courtyard.
The owners are friendly and Carey. They were attended to all our needs. Strongly recommended.

GGuest UserThey upgraded our room, and the butler was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The garden and the coffee shop at the back were tastefully designed, and even though there was renovation going on in the middle, we were still very impressed. The facilities were actually quite good; the bathroom had underfloor heating, and the heating was sufficient in winter. It was a bit of a shame that the water pressure wasn't very high, and the hot water wasn't particularly plentiful, but these minor flaws didn't detract from the overall experience.

FFaiza LeithTo escape the frenzy of Kunming ancient town, we took a 2.5 hr train ride to Weishan - an authentic, uncommercialized old town with the splendid Yuan Chuang Yi Su hotel.
The bed is super comfortable, and the window seat great for relaxing after a truly hot shower. Sanitized towels are delivered daily in sealed bags and CGTN for foreign guests is available on a huge TV!
Yuan Chuang Yi Su's owner is a Mensch. His fluency in English and passion for his adopted town enriched our China trip. He sensed my vegetarian needs and whisked me off to the local market!
Yuan Chuang Yi Su is the smartest, but the least expensive of our 28 day trip in Guangdong - Yunnan.
We relished the smart set-up, the gleaming interior and delightful neighborhood of eateries.
The hotel is truly a train-rider's dream: just 25 minute walk away from Weishan Railway station and 5 minutes from the inexpensive tourist buses that take you as far as Weibaoshan and East Lotus Village.

USB chargers had turbo mode.
Curtains perfectly blocked the light.
Hot shower with proper water pressure.
However, toilet was annoying. It is as loud as one on the airplane, and auto flushes as soon as you move a little bit. Otherwise it would be 5 stars for amenities too.
Service was great, and I can easily compare it to 4 stars hotels in big cities.
For a foreigner, check in took about 40 seconds, which is super fast.
Roof has a nice terrace with tables.

MM2eib9xd3****This homestay in the ancient city of Lushan directly filled my travel experience! As soon as I entered the door, I was amazed. It was in the core area of the ancient city. I got up early to eat a bowl of steaming bait bait. In the evening, I strolled to Gongchen Building to watch the sunset. There was no need to detour. The proprietress is beautiful and kind and super enthusiastic.
The room was clean and warm, the wooden furniture was lightly fragrant, the bedding was soft enough to lie down and didn't want to get up, and the hot water was sufficient.
Half of the happiness of this trip to Lushan came from this homestay! Next time I come back, I will definitely stay here again, and enjoy the slow time of the ancient city again ～

His courtyard is clean and beautiful, and the rooms are also full of ethnic style, with small horse lanterns. The caravan culture is very authentic. I feel like I am a Ma Guotou. It is very convenient to go to Weishan Ancient City from the village. There is a minibus at the entrance of the village, which goes directly to Weishan Ancient City. The bus runs every half an hour. If you catch up with the market day, you can take the minibus. Go to Dianzhong Street or Temple Street to see the rich market. There is cattle and sheep trading. It is very interesting. It is a good place to learn more about Weishan County. The people are simple and warm. I like it very much.

The room has little to none surfaces to put your own stuff. Room had no table, I had to ask for one, and it was delivered. So at least they tried to deliver an acceptable service.
You can hear how your neighbors from all sides take shower or use toilet. Constant sound of loud running water. Sound isolation is terrible. After listening to all that for few hours, I packed my stuff and went to a nearby hotel.
Would not recommend to anyone.
