"When we checked in, the room type we originally booked wasn't available yet, so they gave us a free upgrade. The next day, I wasn't feeling well and had to call 120 (emergency services) and go to the hospital. When we returned, the staff were very concerned about us and even personally guided us to breakfast, which was delicious. They also gave us many gifts when we left. Highly recommend, highly recommend, highly recommend!"

"Our stay at the Grand Skylight Hotel in Libo, Guizhou, was absolutely fantastic! The hotel's location is perfect, with a private, convenient passage directly to the Xiaoqikong scenic area, making sightseeing incredibly easy and stress-free. The rooms are spacious and elegant, with a refined and tidy layout. Anna at the front desk was exceptionally thoughtful, attentive, and enthusiastic. All the staff were very accommodating, patiently answering all our questions with professional and warm service. The overall environment, facilities, and service were impeccable. This is definitely our top choice for a vacation stay in Xiaoqikong, and we'll certainly choose this hotel again for our next visit!"

"What I like most is : The room is on the fourth floor. I didn’t pay for an expensive room so the room looks out to the backyard which is disorganized. If I pay more I would’ve gotten a better view. What I pay is what I get obviously. Nevertheless the room is very very nice. It has many lights and well lit and I love it. I can read without feeling that I am living inside a cave. The smart toilet is a place to for buttock massage.  The breakfast is quiet good.. It has fruit, bao zi and a freshly made bowl of rice noodles. The hotel offers fruit for free . I love to have fruit and the fact that I don’t have to buy it and carry it back to the hotel. I have daily house keeping . My garbage was emptied.  There are 2 massage chairs that are very good. The hotel decor in the lobby and the room are very pleasant. The owner has good ‘taste’. I am not a big fan of disposable towels. If there is anything I prefer, is I want to cloth bathing towels. I felt like I used a piece of enormous napkins to dry my body. This is not a deal breaker though as I only stay 2 nights. If I stay longer, there would be anything else to do because I complete the whole circuit in less than 4 hours. The next day I went to Yao Shan and there wasn’t many people . But being 65, the entrance is free but I paid 20 rmb for the short bus ride. I paid 15 rmb one way on a DiDi there and the same coming back. The location is at the extreme end of this neighborhood and would require a 10 minutes uphill to the entrance. The park is quite big. You have to walk 10 minutes to 15 minutes to the entrance, then after you buy the ticket, another 10 minutes to the bus stop so it is quite a lot of walking before you begin your journey. If I have to do it all over again, I would have spent more time at every stop. I misunderstood that route A and route B is different. Route B is exactly the same as route A in reverse. The information given by the owner should include the trail from the bus top to the bridge . There is an option to ride a boat and then walk a bit. The trail is easy to walk and well maintained and quite pleasant early in the morning and before closing as there will be fewer people . The hotel is a bit far if you have a lot of luggages.  In summary, this hotel is the only one that offers breakfast in my 5 weeks through China and it was surprising good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone."

"First and foremost, I'm not a shill, I promise! 1. **Transfer Service:** As soon as we stepped out of the high-speed rail station, we saw the hotel's business car waiting. The driver not only helped us with our luggage but also enthusiastically shared local travel tips on the way – like which attractions to avoid during peak hours and where to find the most authentic snacks. It felt like chatting with an old friend, and the fatigue from our journey instantly melted away. When we checked out, we even asked the driver to help us take our luggage to the station. The service was thoughtful and thorough from start to finish – the driver deserves a big tip! 2. **Room Experience:** We were so happy the owner upgraded our room for free! The room was very clean and smart, equipped with a voice assistant and a smart toilet. The sheets and duvet covers were spotless, the bedding was super soft, and the pillows were just the right height, ensuring a great night's sleep. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping in the morning was incredibly pleasant. Highly recommended! 3. **Service Details:** Beyond the impressive amenities, the service was truly a bonus! The front desk staff patiently answered all our questions during check-in and even gave us tips for visiting Xiaoqikong Scenic Area! **Summary:** From pick-up to check-out, every aspect of our stay showed the hotel's dedication and care. If I ever visit this city again, this hotel will definitely be my first choice! I strongly recommend it to anyone who values attention to detail and a great experience. A big thank you again to the driver for helping us with our luggage!"

"I was extremely satisfied with this B&B. The hygiene, facilities, and service were all excellent. The breakfast was also quite exquisite. The room had a tea set, and sitting there enjoying a hot cup of tea while gazing at the misty clouds outside was incredibly relaxing. The B&B is also very close to the East Gate scenic area, just a few minutes' walk away. The landlady was warm and thoughtful; I had booked a room with a bathtub, and she even upgraded me to a room with a full bath! After exploring Libo, a good soak really helps to wash away the day's fatigue. Highly recommend!"

"The room was clean and beautiful, with a charming, rustic feel yet modern design. It was very well-equipped, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, making for a very comfortable stay. The location is super close to the scenic area, right next to the exit, which made exploring incredibly convenient! The service was also very attentive and warm. "Unfortunately, we chose the wrong time of year. Heavy rain trapped us in Xiaoqikong Scenic Area, which was closed and roads were blocked. We couldn't hail a ride online, and after asking around on the street, only a kind man from Northeast China was willing to take us out to check if the roads were clear. Unfortunately, the landslide hadn't been completely cleared. So we checked into their guesthouse! The room was clean and odorless, perfect for taking photos, and the mirror created a wonderful atmosphere. The owners were warm and generous. Choosing this place in Libo is definitely a safe bet! Highly recommended! The service was warm and welcoming, making us feel comfortable. The front desk staff were also very attentive and made us feel at ease."

"This is a five-diamond hotel located within the Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. It's actually a few hundred meters past the old east gate of the scenic area, right before Wangmeng Town. The location is excellent, very close to the Xiaoqikong Bridge and Laya Waterfall. Xiaoqikong has changed a lot; shuttle buses now operate within the scenic area, which is very convenient for tourists, though it has somewhat diminished the unique charm of the original forest edge landscapes. Since it wasn't peak season this time, the hotel price was quite favorable, which was nice. We had a bit of bad luck this trip; it had rained heavily in Libo a few days prior, so the water in Xiaoqikong, though clean, had a yellowish tint. It lacked the characteristic clear turquoise and deep blue hues we'd seen in different sections of the river in the past. The hotel's service was excellent. The sink in the bathroom was a bit clogged, and after one phone call, maintenance staff arrived immediately to fix it. Turns out, a previous guest had thrown a piece of clear adhesive from a band-aid into the basin, which got stuck with hair further down, blocking the drain. It's a shame that some guests have such poor etiquette; a thoughtless act like that can cause problems for others. The hotel breakfast was decent, with a good variety of local Guizhou specialties and standard breakfast options. The only downside was the bacon and Western-style sausages. Guizhou lacks companies that produce high-quality Western sausages, and those generally made in China are often just mediocre. I'd suggest Guizhou consider introducing enterprises like Germany's Schindele to produce high-quality Western sausages, bacon, and other products using Guizhou's excellent pork, beef, and lamb as raw materials. Supplying these to major hotels would elevate the dining experience in Guizhou and even the entire Southwest region. Furthermore, Guizhou Dragon's cured and smoked products are excellent. Perhaps they could offer spicy sausages, cured pork, and braised pork made from Congjiang fragrant pigs to consumers, which might better showcase the unique flavors of Guizhou cuisine than some of the bland, uninspired products currently available."

"I had looked at many places before, but couldn't find anything satisfactory. The night before heading to Libo, I finally settled on this hotel-style B&B near the East Gate of Xiaoqikong, and it exceeded my expectations. I was traveling with my family of four, and we booked a duplex room with three king-sized beds. The room layout, size, and ceiling height were all excellent, clearly the result of meticulous design and decoration, using high-quality materials. The lighting and curtains were all smart-controlled. The air conditioning could be turned on without a key card. Towels, bath towels, bedding, disposable toiletries, water kettle, and bottled water all featured the B&B's custom logo. The room also had a bathtub, and a disposable tub liner was provided. The towels and bath towels even came in individual sealed bags for hygiene. They offered complimentary pick-up and drop-off service from the high-speed rail station, and complimentary special drinks (which tasted as good as anything you'd get elsewhere). The staff were also very friendly; the front desk even helped us print two copies of my children's homework for free. We usually opt for five-star hotels when we travel, so choosing this B&B really impressed me with how far B&Bs have come!"
