The facilities and decor are quite old, but the value for money is decent."

The lobby, on the other hand, was very luxurious and grand.
The service from the Horizon Club staff was mediocre. During peak dining hours, they allowed customers to block off tables without actually occupying them, preventing new arrivals from sitting down. This is no different from someone using their body to save a parking spot, and it needs further staff training."

"Location is not the best area in Hohhot, but taxi is cheap in the city so it was not a big issue. What bothered us the most was the fact that the room is “non-smoking” but had obvious smell of smoke when we arrived, and an ashtray (?!) is part of the room amenities. I asked the front if I was put in the wrong room and they said that it was indeed non-smoking but due to the language barrier they could not explain the ashtray well. Besides that, it was OK in terms of cleanliness and the bed was comfortable. The smell faded away from the 2nd night. Staff was also very helpful for fulfilling our requests. I recommend the hotel to remove the ashtray to suggest guests to not smoke. All in all it is a decent accommodation for what you pay for."

"We booked two deluxe king rooms for two adults and two children. The rooms were incredibly spacious and well-laid-out. The front desk assigned us to the highest floor available for our price range, which we were very pleased with. Even though it's on a busy street, it's completely quiet with the windows closed. The revolving breakfast restaurant was amazing, with a wide variety of dishes, including local specialties like lamb offal and peizi (a type of local bread). The only minor issue was that it got quite crowded during peak hours, and the staff were a bit overly zealous in clearing tables to seat new guests. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the General's Mansion, and taxis are easily accessible. Nearby, Mongcheng Yiguo and Suzhou-style noodles both offer delicious food."

"I stayed here for 3 consecutive days, and the location is absolutely fantastic! Zhongshan West Road is very lively, a real commercial hub. Right downstairs is Qingcheng Park, the 'city's green lung,' and the lotus flowers there are stunning! It's so convenient for a stroll. A taxi to Dazhao Temple takes only 7 minutes, and you can walk to Kuan Alley in just 3 minutes. The breakfast spread was quite generous and tasty! The high-altitude restaurant's food was excellent. Since my parents and kids don't eat lamb, we basically had all our meals at the Jiangnan High-Altitude Restaurant on the 30th floor. Xiao Dong and Fanfan (or perhaps Fancan? I can't quite remember her name) at the front desk saw I had a child with me and helped me with a late check-out, even gifting us some fridge magnets. They were so kind and beautiful, making us feel right at home. Hohhot is a great summer escape, nice and cool! This Mercure hotel is a wonderful place to stay!"

"This time, I brought my child to Hohhot for a trip. I saw this hotel online; it was newly opened and the facilities looked very modern, so I booked it. The room was indeed a pleasant surprise. The bed in the standard room was exceptionally large; my child and I didn't feel cramped at all. Later, I asked the staff, and they said it was a 1.35-meter bed. There are two shopping districts nearby, which is very convenient. I recommend it to families with children."

"First off, the hotel's location is good; it's close to Hohhot East Station and Baita Airport, as well as the Inner Mongolia Museum. It's on an expressway, so it's convenient if you're driving. However, there are a few points I need to raise:
1. I drove here, but wasn't informed upon check-in that I needed to register my license plate every time I left. This resulted in a 25 yuan charge when I left the next day. To avoid disrupting the parking lot's operation, I paid it. When I returned that evening, the front desk attendant – a young guy – perhaps due to authorization issues, only explained that I needed to register every time but didn't understand my request for a refund. Later, an older gentleman came out, took a picture, and said he could register it with the property management for a refund. Of course, it's been 3 days now, and I still haven't received the refund. I hope they honor their promise.
2. The breakfast staff, I'm not sure if they were confused or poorly trained. My child wanted to make some oatmeal; there were two containers, one for oats and one for those little O-shaped cereals next to it. The containers were empty. We asked the staff twice – the first time, my wife waved, and they acted like they didn't see her. The second time, my child's grandma went over to ask, and was told there was none and they wouldn't refill it (this was 8:30 AM; your breakfast is until 10 AM, and you're not refilling oats?). Well, here's the interesting part: a little later, when I went to get some milk myself, lo and behold, that container *was* refilled! Did it just magically appear? Since we were in a hurry, I didn't make a fuss.
There were a few other minor issues, but they weren't too bothersome. Overall, it was still decent. After all, it's peak summer season, and a room rate of over 400 yuan is quite good value for money. There's also a laundry room, which is convenient. However, as a Holiday Inn in the capital of Inner Mongolia, there's still room for improvement."

WaiyayayalichirouThe main draw of this hotel is its excellent location, right by Saishang Old Street and close to several temples. I particularly liked the tea-drinking area in the room, and they even provided complimentary afternoon tea. It was perfect for coming back for a drink and relaxing after exploring Saishang Old Street. We booked a king room, which was over 400 yuan a night without breakfast. However, there are many small restaurants just outside, and we enjoyed trying a different one each day, all with good food. The downsides were that the shower water kept fluctuating between hot and cold, and the parking lot is shared. While 10 yuan a day isn't expensive, other hotels usually offer free private parking, and here you have to queue if there are many tourists.

kimheesunzhangThis was my first time staying in a family room, and as soon as I walked in, I felt the layout was very convenient. The front desk lady checked me in quickly and gave clear directions when I asked how to get around. It was also easy to get a taxi from here or go to the East Station 🙂
The room was comfortable to stay in. The bedding was neatly made, felt very soft to the touch, and both the pillows and duvet were clean and dry. I slept really well at night, and the soundproofing was good too; outside noises barely bothered me at all 😌
The gym was a pleasant surprise. It was clean and bright, and the equipment was sufficient for a daily workout. It was very convenient to go and get some exercise after a long journey, and it didn't feel stuffy in there 🏋️
The breakfast variety was richer than I expected, with both hot and cold options, all tasty. Overall, my stay was very hassle-free, suitable for family trips or an overnight stopover 😊

Guest UserAfter looking at many hotels, I finally chose Langlitzi. It's very close to nearby attractions, and you can even walk to Kuan Alley. Some famous restaurants are also in the vicinity. The hotel's front desk staff were excellent. I didn't try the breakfast because there's a whole street of shumai restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed for three nights in total, and the overall experience was great. For the first two nights, since the standard rooms were fully booked, we opted for a queen room. On the third day, the hotel upgraded us to a family room, which was much bigger and our child absolutely loved it. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly patient with both check-ins and answering our questions. The cleanliness was impressive; we felt very comfortable staying there. Breakfast was also good, with a variety of vegetables and fruits, plus freshly cooked noodles, so there was plenty of choice. The location is very convenient, with many dining options nearby. Chain restaurants serving shaomai and Mongolian cuisine are just a few minutes' walk away, and it's also very easy to get a taxi to various attractions. Excellent value for money!

Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied; the lamb shaomai was particularly authentic, and the lamb offal soup was absolutely delicious – highly recommend both! What truly stood out was the genuine and professional service team. From the warm milk the housekeeping auntie discreetly replenished daily to the help with planning my travel itinerary, every little detail exuded a heartwarming, 'home-like' feeling. Upon check-out, the front desk even gave me a souvenir gift, a thoughtful gesture that instantly melted away any travel fatigue.
Xin Cheng Hotel isn't just a place to rest; it's a living cultural museum. It tells stories through its architecture, conveys local charm through its cuisine, and embodies warmth through its service. It allows every guest to experience the vastness and gentleness of Hohhot amidst the hustle and bustle.

Guest UserOverall, my stay was average, with the room experience being a definite highlight, but the check-in process significantly impacted the overall impression. It was a stay with very clear pros and cons.
First, let's talk about the room's strengths, which was the most satisfying part of this stay. The room was incredibly spacious, with no cramped or stuffy feeling. Whether traveling alone or with companions, there was more than enough room to move around. The overall cleanliness of the room was excellent; the floors, tables, bedding, and bathroom areas were all spotless, with no stains, dust, or strange odors. Attention to detail was evident. The indoor lighting and ventilation were great; the windows were clear, providing ample natural light during the day, making the room bright and airy with good air circulation, preventing any stuffiness. Additionally, the mattress and pillows were just right – not too soft, not too firm – and the furniture arrangement was practical. The overall living comfort was good, perfectly meeting the needs for daily rest or a temporary stay. The hardware conditions are quite outstanding for accommodations in this price range.
Upon arrival, I found that there were a lot of guests checking in, and the front desk had a long, dense queue. We waited in the lobby for a very long time, which was a significant drain on time and energy, especially waiting with luggage. This greatly diminished the experience. During peak hours, with many guests, it's easy for people to pile up in queues and experience congested waiting times, which is very unfriendly to travelers who are on a tight schedule and want to check in quickly to rest.
In summary, the hotel's room hardware, hygiene, and living comfort are commendable, making for a very good living experience. However, the excessively long wait during peak check-in times dragged down the overall check-in experience.

When I checked in, the hotel upgraded my room and told me that both rooms would receive two complimentary breakfasts since I'm a Platinum member. However, the next morning at the restaurant, the staff told us it was only one breakfast! We were really confused. There seems to be a serious disconnect between the front desk and the restaurant; the restaurant claimed they hadn't received any information about two breakfasts. It felt like they were just messing with us! In the end, we had to buy breakfast. It's not about the money, it's about integrity. Now I understand why their rating is 46 points!

Yesterday I was drunk and went to the hotel opposite my work to get an hourly room to rest. The purpose of rest was to work better. After sleeping all morning, I was resurrected with full blood in the afternoon and could work hard again.
Overall the hotel is quite quiet and the facilities are relatively old, but the advantage is that it is close to the company, just opposite the unit.
