"The biggest draw of this hotel is the spacious rooms. It's conveniently located right behind Wanda Pedestrian Street, making dining incredibly easy. The hotel lobby is designed with a very luxurious feel, and the rooms are decorated with unique Inner Mongolian characteristics. The bathroom and shower are also well-designed with a wet and dry separation. From our floor, we had a great view overlooking Hohhot city and could even see the Yinshan Mountains in the distance. The hotel has a swimming pool, though it's not very large. Breakfast was exceptional and very diverse, featuring three fresh coffee machines. The Inner Mongolian milk tea was delicious, and the noodles were tasty. Getting around from here was very convenient!"

"Our stay at this hotel was just okay—not excellent, but acceptable for a budget hotel. If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay in Hohhot and don’t have very high expectations, this hotel can be an option. One of the staff members was not very friendly toward foreign guests. We simply requested a chopstick to stir our coffee in the room, but unfortunately, our request was declined. It was a small thing, but the experience could have been handled more warmly. Pros: * Very close to the metro/subway station * Convenient location near Hohhot Railway Station * Plenty of affordable restaurants nearby * Budget-friendly Cons: * The carpet on the floor was visibly dirty * The hotel is quite old and could use some updating * Service could be more welcoming, especially toward foreign guests Overall, our stay was just good enough for a short budget stay, mainly because of the convenient location and affordable price. However, if you are particular or sensitive about cleanliness, I would recommend looking for another hotel."

"The breakfast and Horizon Club offerings were extensive, featuring specialties like 'jianbing guozi' (savory crepes), special milk tea, and lamb 'shaomai' (dumplings). The Shang Palace restaurant had good food. However, the room was extremely small; there wasn't even enough space to walk around once my suitcase was open. The lobby, on the other hand, was very luxurious and grand. The service from the Horizon Club staff was mediocre. During peak dining hours, they allowed customers to block off tables without actually occupying them, preventing new arrivals from sitting down. This is no different from someone using their body to save a parking spot, and it needs further staff training."

"I chose this hotel primarily because it's a convenient 10-minute walk to the Five Pagoda Temple, which is then just another 10-minute stroll to Dazhao Temple. It's also only a 10-minute walk to MIXC Mall, making its location incredibly convenient. Being in the city center is a huge plus. Of the three hotels we stayed at in Hohhot this trip, this one is the most established, so the service was absolutely top-notch. Our room even offered a great view of Qingcheng Park! We didn't try the breakfast, but my family said it was decent, though not as good as the other two hotels we stayed at. The facilities are okay. Naturally, being in the city center means it's a bit pricier!"

"Booked for a friend, and she was absolutely delighted! The hotel is fantastic, with a superb, grand, spacious, bright, clean, and aesthetically pleasing lobby, perfect for business entertaining. Located right on Guangming Road in Hohhot, the hotel's position is very convenient, with numerous shopping, leisure, and entertainment options nearby. It makes dining, accommodation, transportation, and shopping all hassle-free. Transportation is excellent, with bus and subway access close by, offering plenty of travel choices. The parking lot is large and offers free parking, and the whole building has stable Wi-Fi signals. Breakfast is excellent, with a rich variety of fresh ingredients, including local specialty dishes, offering great value for money, and occasional discounts. All the facilities and equipment are new, and the rooms are spotless and tidy, with comfortable king-size beds. The rooms are spacious, as are the bathrooms, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer expansive views, making the room bright and elegant, warm and quiet – an ideal living space. The service is consistently excellent; the staff are high-quality, thoughtful, attentive, hospitable, professional, and proficient in their duties. "Let me start by saying: Highly recommend!! Super satisfied!! I booked two rooms, and my friend booked one. This hotel was the most satisfying of my entire Beijing + Inner Mongolia trip. Everything was excellent, from the service and cleanliness to the facilities and amenities. For instance, after doing laundry, an attendant would even help dry it and deliver it to your room door. The hotel lobby was also clean, and there were always drinks available at the service desk, even late at night when we returned. The room's facilities and amenities, such as the air conditioning and mini-fridge, made absolutely no noise, even in the quiet of the night. I'm a light sleeper, so this was a huge plus for me. This is definitely a place I would recommend to friends. It's also very convenient for visiting Jokhang Temple, just a three to five-minute walk away. There's also a place nearby that looks like a city gate, filled with shops and snacks. Even the staff were all service-oriented."

Sheyi Tea Culture hotel was an amazing stay, definitely a must stay if visiting Hohhot! Food & Drink 🫖 This hotel is also a tea house and it is a tea drinker’s dream! First the room a booked came with my own tea brewing equipment and a tea brewing table with an excellent view and comfortable seats! But that is just the beginning, as you head down to the main floor a fully stocked, beautiful tea house & cafe awaits you. Daily tea and even delicious milk tea is always available. Private table sets and outdoor seating is available too. The tea masters are skilled and attentive, which made all my tea drinking experiences fun and enjoyable! You can also purchase various tea and tea ware right in the tea house. Location 📍 This hotel is perfectly located close to the near by Ancient Street, with many close by temples and shrines to visit. A craft street is close by and available all day, while a famous local food street opens up for colourful night time snacking in the evening. Many close by restaurants offering authentic local cuisine, I recommend reading the hotel’s recommendations as they were always great. If you need even more tea experience, there is a nearby tea wholesale market and many high end tea house in the area as well. The Room 🛌 The room I stayed in had lots of space, was very clean and had everything you could need to feel comfortable. Daily bathroom necessities are provided. High quality bedding, robes and slippers are waiting for you. High end bathroom equipment is installed, with hot water always available. Premium television is set up and Wifi connection always had high speeds. A beautiful kettle and tea set can be used to make tea with daily water and a welcome tea package provided. Staff 👩⚕️ The staff were very king and helpful right from check in. Actually even before check in they were helping bring my luggage inside! They were patient with communication as I was a foreign visitor. They answered any and all questions I had. They recommended great tea and amazing restaurants! The staff were always available and always smiling! Such great people really made my stay a dream. This was probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in and I definitely would recommend it to anyone visiting Hohhot! I will be back again for sure.

This was my first time staying in a family room, and as soon as I walked in, I felt the layout was very convenient. The front desk lady checked me in quickly and gave clear directions when I asked how to get around. It was also easy to get a taxi from here or go to the East Station 🙂 The room was comfortable to stay in. The bedding was neatly made, felt very soft to the touch, and both the pillows and duvet were clean and dry. I slept really well at night, and the soundproofing was good too; outside noises barely bothered me at all 😌 The gym was a pleasant surprise. It was clean and bright, and the equipment was sufficient for a daily workout. It was very convenient to go and get some exercise after a long journey, and it didn't feel stuffy in there 🏋️ The breakfast variety was richer than I expected, with both hot and cold options, all tasty. Overall, my stay was very hassle-free, suitable for family trips or an overnight stopover 😊

The hotel's location is ideal, and the environment is pleasant. There are plenty of dining options nearby, which is very convenient. I have a few suggestions though: For our triple-bed family room, only one key card could be made, which meant all three of us had to enter and exit together. Otherwise, you'd have to go to the front desk to get a room card to enter, which was a bit inconvenient. There was also a drain smell in the room. We reported it, and a staff member came to deal with it, but we could still smell it afterwards, and we're not sure why. On a positive note, the milk tea at breakfast was delicious, and the candies at the front desk were tasty!

We stayed for three nights in total, and the overall experience was great. For the first two nights, since the standard rooms were fully booked, we opted for a queen room. On the third day, the hotel upgraded us to a family room, which was much bigger and our child absolutely loved it. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly patient with both check-ins and answering our questions. The cleanliness was impressive; we felt very comfortable staying there. Breakfast was also good, with a variety of vegetables and fruits, plus freshly cooked noodles, so there was plenty of choice. The location is very convenient, with many dining options nearby. Chain restaurants serving shaomai and Mongolian cuisine are just a few minutes' walk away, and it's also very easy to get a taxi to various attractions. Excellent value for money!

Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied; the lamb shaomai was particularly authentic, and the lamb offal soup was absolutely delicious – highly recommend both! What truly stood out was the genuine and professional service team. From the warm milk the housekeeping auntie discreetly replenished daily to the help with planning my travel itinerary, every little detail exuded a heartwarming, 'home-like' feeling. Upon check-out, the front desk even gave me a souvenir gift, a thoughtful gesture that instantly melted away any travel fatigue. Xin Cheng Hotel isn't just a place to rest; it's a living cultural museum. It tells stories through its architecture, conveys local charm through its cuisine, and embodies warmth through its service. First, let's talk about the room's strengths, which was the most satisfying part of this stay. The room was incredibly spacious, with no cramped or stuffy feeling. Whether traveling alone or with companions, there was more than enough room to move around. The overall cleanliness of the room was excellent; the floors, tables, bedding, and bathroom areas were all spotless, with no stains, dust, or strange odors. Attention to detail was evident. The indoor lighting and ventilation were great; the windows were clear, providing ample natural light during the day, making the room bright and airy with good air circulation, preventing any stuffiness. Additionally, the mattress and pillows were just right – not too soft, not too firm – and the furniture arrangement was practical. The overall living comfort was good, perfectly meeting the needs for daily rest or a temporary stay. The hardware conditions are quite outstanding for accommodations in this price range. Upon arrival, I found that there were a lot of guests checking in, and the front desk had a long, dense queue. We waited in the lobby for a very long time, which was a significant drain on time and energy, especially waiting with luggage. This greatly diminished the experience. During peak hours, with many guests, it's easy for people to pile up in queues and experience congested waiting times, which is very unfriendly to travelers who are on a tight schedule and want to check in quickly to rest. In summary, the hotel's room hardware, hygiene, and living comfort are commendable, making for a very good living experience. However, the excessively long wait during peak check-in times dragged down the overall check-in experience.

The hotel boasts high-end decor and excellent cleanliness, with a superb location right by the racecourse. It feels grand and impressive. However, my stay wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. First, my room was quite a trek from the lobby, easily 50-60 meters away. Second, the pillows were all incredibly high; all four provided were the same, offering no softer alternative, which led to a restless night. Third, the toilet wasn't smart, and the toilet paper holder was awkwardly placed behind it, feeling a bit outdated. Fourth, the staff seemed accustomed to serving VIPs; for regular guests like us, they were rather cold and unresponsive. They'd only answer direct questions, and when I asked about breakfast, they didn't volunteer information about the hours or where it was served, which almost caused me to miss it. Most hotels serve until 10 AM, but here it's 9:30 AM.

Yesterday I was drunk and went to the hotel opposite my work to get an hourly room to rest. The purpose of rest was to work better. After sleeping all morning, I was resurrected with full blood in the afternoon and could work hard again. Overall the hotel is quite quiet and the facilities are relatively old, but the advantage is that it is close to the company, just opposite the unit.
