When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with friends.
"Our experience was absolutely fantastic, primarily due to the incredibly kind and approachable owner. We encountered some personal issues during our stay and when we asked the owner for help, they were incredibly enthusiastic and supportive in resolving them. Because our hiking route was quite unique, the owner even gave us a blessing bracelet for a safe journey down the mountain. The room was very clean and offered stunning views of the snow-capped mountains. The hotel's location is also excellent, right inside Yading Village, less than 50 meters from Station 1 where the shuttle bus from the scenic area entrance stops. This is perfect for those who've just arrived at high altitude and want to avoid too much walking. Station 2, where you catch the bus into the scenic area, is also less than 100 meters away, and it's just a 10-minute ride to the park entrance. The hotel's elevation is 3990m, just under 4000m. If you're planning a longer trek, I highly recommend staying here to acclimate to the altitude first. Once you've adjusted, the hike should be no problem at all."

"From check-in to check-out, everything was thoughtful. The concierge and front desk staff were polite and enthusiastic, even thoughtfully preparing brown sugar ginger tea and welcome fruits. Facilities: The hotel has a 24-hour medical oxygen bar, and just 10 minutes there quickly relieves altitude sickness. The rooms have a diffuse medical oxygen supply, which lowers the perceived altitude to about 2700 meters, allowing for a good night's sleep. Service: As soon as we arrived at the hotel entrance, a butler helped with our luggage and escorted us to our room after check-in. The next morning, when we were checking out, the front desk proactively asked if we needed help with our luggage, which was a very thoughtful touch. Hygiene: The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, was clean, tidy, and well-ventilated. The lobby was also kept spotless at all times. The airport shuttle stop is right outside the hotel, and booking certain room types includes a free airport drop-off, making it the best choice for return journeys."

"This was a perfect place to spend the night in Daocheng before a flight the next morning. It is only a 15 minute walk away from the White Pagoda, and there are shops and restaurants nearby. Staff were very helpful with figuring out logistics for getting to the airport and recommending activities and restaurants in the area (Make sure to have WeChat set up). One of the ladies spoke fairly good English too. My one complaint is that the tap water seemed to have a slight brown hue to it, especially when using warm/hot water. This showed up in both the sink and shower. Thus, I did not want to use the tap water to brush my teeth or to filter for drinking, which has not been a concern of mine anywhere else in China. Because I usually use a water filter to drink the tap, I did not have extra bottled water prepared beforehand. Some is provided, but if you think you'll use/drink a lot of water (as I do, especially because of how dry it is in Daocheng), buy some extra beforehand."

"Great location just a few minutes walk from park entrance, restaurants and pharmacies. Our room had nice view, humidifier, nice restroom with large shower, great hot water pressure, ”western” toilet. We were on third floor, no elevator (no problem for us because this trip we were picking light). Simple and crowded breakfast (which is understandable due to the very high tourism season and very nice weather)."

Located in the heart of Shangri-La town, its 2800-meter altitude is just right, avoiding altitude sickness while providing convenient access to the Yading scenic area entrance – a mere 15-minute drive to the sacred mountains. Upon arrival, a concierge proactively offered to help with luggage, a warm gesture spreading from the moment you stepped out of the car. Entering the double-height lobby, the ******* elements blend seamlessly with modern design. The hanging scroll depicting the three sacred mountains of Yading instantly evoked anticipation for the journey. The seated service during check-in was exceptionally attentive; staff member David offered ginger tea to dispel the chill of the journey and provided a detailed explanation of the scenic route and a guide map. The hotel's dining experience was a highlight of the trip. While the breakfast wasn't as lavish as in inland China, it was certainly excellent for the ******* region."

"Huge thanks for the room upgrade! They even gave us Coke, fruit, and self-heating meal boxes because they were worried about altitude sickness. However, the soundproofing is really bad. The people in the next room checked in around midnight and were noisy until 2 AM. Their whispers were barely audible, but their loud shouts were crystal clear. It really affected my sleep 😴. Please address this issue!"

"This time, I chose the Oxygen Dew Bath Qushang Room in the Muhua Building, and the experience completely exceeded my expectations! The best part was the indoor hot spring! The weather on the plateau can change quickly, so it was a true pleasure to soak in a warm bath in the warmth of the room, washing away the fatigue of a day's hike without having to go outside in the draft. The room was very spacious, and the decor was my favorite minimalist style with soft colors, making it incredibly relaxing. Of course, the oxygen system was also very effective, and I slept soundly after my bath, completely free of any altitude sickness. The entire floor was incredibly quiet and private. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and quiet stay in Daocheng Yading!"

AAlenK.This hotel truly excels in all four aspects: location, amenities, views, and service. 1. **Location**: Situated at Yading Village Station 3, it's perfect for those planning a two-day trip. You won't have to endure the 40-minute one-way shuttle ride back and forth. The hotel is only a 12-minute drive from the shuttle bus terminal and is right at the entrance of Station 3. You don't need to walk an extra step. You can even wait for the shuttle while taking photos on a swing chair in the lobby or the small courtyard, as you can see the snow-capped mountains from anywhere in the hotel (see photo 1, taken this morning). 2. **Amenities**: They provide a Dyson hairdryer, 'Black Sister' toothpaste, a large jar of freshly cut kumquat and lemon fruit tea, and four separate fruit platters. Each room comes with a small wooden table, a vintage tea set, and two packets of tea. There's also a private balcony where you can step out. You can brew tea and take your wooden tray tea set out to take pictures. 3. **Oxygen Supply**: Oxygen is supplied 24 hours a day, unlike many hotels that only offer it from 7 PM to 7 AM. It's a diffused oxygen supply with 24% oxygen concentration. Hotels in Litang typically only reach 21%. If you have an oxygen bag, you can even refill it in your room as the interface is compatible. 4. **Service**: Around 8 PM, I felt cold and asked the front desk to check if the air conditioning was working correctly. Without a word, the front desk brought up a massive heater that could reach a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius. You'll sleep soundly and won't get cold, and it's completely silent. 5. **Luggage Service**: If you're staying at the hotel with luggage and find it inconvenient to carry to the attractions the next day, you can store it at the front desk. You also won't have to worry about wasting time and queuing for another shuttle to pick up your luggage at the station on your return journey. A front desk staff member will wait for you at the station with your luggage after your return bus departs. You don't even need to get off; they'll load your luggage directly onto the shuttle bus. Nice! 6. **Convenience Store**: If you're short on food, there's a small supermarket about 50 meters from the hotel. A bowl of braised beef noodles costs only 7 yuan – grab it! This is inside a scenic area; at the visitor center, it would start at 20 yuan.

When we arrived in the morning, they immediately updated us on the weather conditions in Yading and gave us tips. The landlady even helped us carry our luggage up to the room while we went to explore Daocheng. When we came back, we had a nice chat with them. Not only did I stay at an incredibly satisfying hotel, but I also experienced a spring snow shower on the evening of April 15th! Choosing the Songji Mountain Hotel, which just opened in 2025, was absolutely the right decision. It definitely deserves a full five-star rating! 🏔️ Snowfall at dusk, a fairytale snowscape unfolds when I open the window in the morning. When I arrived in Yading on the afternoon of the 15th, the sky was clear, and I was quite tired from the journey. Unexpectedly, fine snowflakes began to drift down at dusk, growing denser and denser. By the time I returned to the hotel that evening, the courtyard was covered with a thin layer of snow. The next morning, I opened my eyes and pulled back the curtains, and was left speechless by the beauty! The spruces, wooden fences, and ******* stone walls in the courtyard were all blanketed in thick white snow. Fluffy snow sat on the branches, even the small trees by the roadside were plump with snow, and the distant mountains were a vast expanse of white. It was truly a real-life ice and snow wonderland, where every casual photo looked like a wallpaper-worthy scene. This spring snow experience was truly rare and unforgettable! 🔥 Underfloor heating + oxygen supply: Double benefits, keeping me warm even in snowy weather. The high-altitude snow can be incredibly cold, but the Songji Mountain Hotel's full-house underfloor heating and diffused oxygen supply were an absolute necessity! Outside, it was freezing, but inside the room, it was wonderfully warm. I could walk barefoot on the floor without feeling cold at all, completely avoiding the damp chill of the plateau. I had a slight case of altitude sickness when I first arrived in Yading, compounded by travel fatigue. I slept with the oxygen supply on all night, and woke up feeling refreshed, with my headache completely gone. My energy for hiking the next day was fully restored. The bedding was also incredibly soft and skin-friendly, providing a fantastic night's sleep. All the fatigue from the journey was smoothed away. 💖 Heartfelt service, as caring as family. The hotel owners and staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming. On the snowy day, they specifically reminded us to be careful of slippery roads and thoughtfully prepared hot ginger tea for us, which was both warming and comforting. From contacting us in advance to confirm our itinerary, to helping us with our luggage upon arrival, and then advising us on hiking precautions in Yading and recommending local delicacies, the entire process was attentive and thorough, with absolutely no sense of distance. After a tiring day of exploring, I could relax by the fire in the common area, sip tea, and admire the snowy scenery outside the window. It felt as comfortable as being at a friend's house. 📍 Excellent location, super convenient for getting around. The hotel is situated in the core area of Yading Village, very close to the scenic area's station. It's just a few minutes' walk away, saving a lot of energy as I didn't have to rush to catch a car early in the morning. Surrounding it is an authentic ******* village, making it incredibly convenient to enjoy the snow at dusk and the mountain views in the morning, without needing to specifically look for photo spots. This trip to Yading, the Songji Mountain Hotel was definitely the most pleasant surprise! With its breathtaking snowy scenery, impressive facilities, and incredibly warm service, anyone planning a trip to Yading should definitely choose this place without hesitation! I've already recommended it to friends who are going, and I'll definitely stay at Songji Mountain Hotel again next time I visit Yading~

Very clean comfortable rooms with extremely hot showers, amenities included. Excellent view (highly recommend getting the snow mountain view room). Staff and owners are really kind and helpful. They’ll explain which routes to go if you are hiking up. They do provide electric blankets, didn’t use the electric heater but it is available for colder months. They have their own restaurant which is very convenient and food was delicious! Simple Chinese breakfast included would have liked to have been able to take some food away to eat along the way as wanted to start the hike earlier could consider asking the staff is this would be possible. Do keep in mind the shuttle bus going up to the scenic site can be quite full so do plan ahead. Would definitely stay here again if I ever come back.

TToon_mThe hotel was really great. There’s an elevator, so no need to worry about carrying luggage up the stairs. We arrived at ฺBus Stop 2 and the hotel staff came out to help us with our bags — plus we were warmly greeted by an adorable dog! We chose a triple room, and the space was comfortable and sufficient for everyone. Our room faced the front with a beautiful mountain view. The beds also had electric mattress warmers, which made our sleep very cozy. Breakfast was good, and the stir-fried vegetables were delicious. They also provide hiking poles that guests can borrow.

GGuest UserThe first thing I remember was the in-house restaurant. For someone who doesn't really into too spicy, oily or salty foods, the restaurant's dinner was just nice for my stomach. I had 2 good dinners inside the hotel. Secondly, the location is very strategic, where it just right beside station 3 inside Yading Village. I'm glad to stay here as a solo traveller, as I can just hop on any of the bus into the national park, at any time, which take less than 15min to arrive, compare an hour If coming from the town. Anyhow, there are 2 areas of improvement for the entire stay. Upon check in, there was no explanation at all on how to use the Humidifier, floor heater as well as built in oxygen. To be honest, all these are something new to me, even though it looked simple to just on the button. But I'm not sure if it's considered working. Throughout the 2nights stayed, I don't think the floor heater was working, as I don't feel anything. Same goes to the water heater, it's doesn't work in my first night, I had to shower in cold. I did brought all the concern to the owner, but unfortunately, he doesn't seems to concern. In my opinion, he is not really a friendly type. But he still answers all my questions. For someone who doesn't really need any personal touch, this place still a nice place to stay.

GGuest UserThe location of the HomeStay is excellent. It is located at the end of the street of a quieter corner away from the busy street. Just a short walk you will have access to many eateries and shops. The interior decoration is uniquely furnished with ******* style design transporting us into a real local ******* family home without the need to be physically in Tibet. The Owner of the HomeStay is very friendly and helpful. He introduced us to ******* culture and explained the significance of Animals painting on the wall and how it translates into daily life. Animals consisted of Elephant, Monkey, Rabbit and Bird. He also made us their fragrance 酥油茶 suyou cha which is good to counter Altitude sickness 高反。 Cat is also a sacred animal in ******* culture. The price of the HomeStay is very reasonable with the excellent location and service. It has free laundry service, however you need to hang them dry in an outdoor clothes line. It will dry quickly as the weather is very dry/sunny. I would highly recommend this HomeStay to everyone who likes to go to Daocheng Yading. Lastly, I would like to thank the Owner and his Sister for making our stay an enjoyable one. Best wishes to Owner and his Sister with excellent business ahead.

GGuest UserThis is an exceptionally good hotel! So good that even a lazy person like me who rarely writes reviews has to give it a thumbs up. I've stayed in countless hotels all over the country, and this is truly the most comfortable and cost-effective one I've ever stayed in. The location isn't particularly hard to find, and the decor is excellent—very new and clean. The rooms are large, the beds are very comfortable, and the blankets are soft. It's quiet in a residential area, with minimal noise at night. If the entire building were converted into a hotel, it wouldn't be inferior to many five-star hotels. There's a convenience store downstairs, making shopping very convenient. The hotel owner's service attitude is also excellent (part of this review is because of his good attitude; otherwise, I'm too lazy to bother with follow-up reviews). Finally, here are a few photos taken in Yading. In short, it's an exceptionally good hotel, and a very enjoyable trip.

Fortunately, the owner lady and friends are sittings at the roadside waiting for customers or passerby who looks for an accommodation. The owner lady is very generous and servicible. She helps me carrying my big luggage from street to the homestay. She also show me how to use facilities in the room. She speaks only chinese but I can not.
