DDiaimingStaying at Qishan Yue in Daocheng at the end of December was a fantastic experience overall, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Yading Village. Here's a detailed breakdown:
**Accommodation:** The guesthouse is centrally located in Yading Village, with rooms directly facing the snow-capped mountains. You can wake up to stunning, unobstructed mountain views just by opening your curtains. The room was clean and tidy, equipped with all necessary amenities, plus an oxygen concentrator and humidifier to help mitigate discomfort from the high altitude. In winter, there's even a cozy fireplace in the lobby downstairs, creating a wonderful festive atmosphere!
**Service Quality:** The staff were excellent, proactively informing us about important park regulations and providing detailed route and time recommendations. They were also very helpful with luggage and patiently answered all our questions. If you wanted to go to the village supermarket, there was even a special 'dog navigator' to guide the way, so no fear of getting lost.
**Dining:** You can simply scan a QR code to order meals right in the guesthouse lobby, saving time and energy looking for restaurants outside (especially crucial during the off-season when many village eateries are closed). They offer a diverse menu, from local hotpot specialties to homestyle stir-fries. A complimentary breakfast set is also provided, ensuring a balanced and nutritious start to your day.
**Convenient Transportation:** The guesthouse is conveniently located right at the third bus stop within the scenic area; you literally step off the bus and you're at the entrance. To go further into the park, you can simply wait for the shuttle right outside the guesthouse entrance – it's incredibly convenient (just let the staff know in advance, and they'll help flag down the bus and remind you of boarding times).
Finally, I truly believe you have to experience it yourself to really know how good it is, so I encourage everyone to check it out firsthand!

They even thoughtfully provided two gift sets: one containing an oxygen tank, an apple, a hard-boiled egg, a bag of cake, a bottle of milk, and a Snickers bar – all essential for the long trek to Yading. I hadn't even thought of the hotel's thoughtfulness. Plus, we could leave our car in the hotel parking lot the next day when entering the scenic area, which was very convenient. We originally planned to stay another night after coming down from the mountain, but unfortunately, my partner suffered severe altitude sickness on the mountain, so we changed our plans and left early.

GGuest UserWhen I first booked, I wasn't aware of the scenic area's rule requiring visitors to enter by shuttle bus before 4:30 PM on the day of arrival. Fortunately, the hotel was very accommodating and allowed me to postpone my booking by a day.
For dinner, I had the tender stewed chicken and Mapo Tofu. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat much due to severe altitude sickness. However, as a self-proclaimed foodie, I'd rate the chicken soup 90 out of 100 – the chicken itself was a good choice, though the knife work could be refined. The Mapo Tofu, while not made with traditional Sichuan tofu and thus having a slightly less authentic texture, was still perfectly acceptable.
My altitude sickness worsened that night. Even with the diffused oxygen system in the room, I remained sleepless throughout. This was a profound irony for someone like me, who has cycled across China and entered Tibet via the G219 highway multiple times.
The male owner spoke good foreign languages, and the female owner was gracefully elegant. Highly recommended.

GGuest UserThis stay was great! The front desk staff was so enthusiastic, efficient at checking in, smiling throughout the whole process, and actively shared tips for playing. They also carefully wrote down the needs of the elderly who were traveling with them, which was very heartwarming. The sanitation of the guest rooms was in place, and the overall cleanliness was very comfortable. The room equipment was easy to use, and the humidifier was very considerate, which solved the problem of dryness. The transportation was very convenient, and the hotel parking lot was safe and convenient. When we went to the scenic spot, the hotel arranged a special person to take us to the visitor center, and picked us up on time in the evening. We didn't have to worry about transportation throughout the whole process, which was very worry-free. The overall stay was comfortable and safe, and it must be praised with five stars!

Environment: Very quiet and convenient, close to both bus stops #2 and #1.
Service: Free breakfast is provided, and hotpot gets a discount. Ginger tea is offered. They also have pick-up and drop-off services from the station, which was incredibly important for us. Both on arrival and departure, we took the direct bus to the terminal. After greeting the driver, we didn't need to get off to retrieve our luggage; the B&B owner/staff would wait at the station after we contacted them upon boarding the bus. This saved us time from getting off, collecting luggage, and transferring, essentially adding no extra time. Very convenient. Disposable nasal oxygen tubes are also provided.
On Mid-Autumn Festival night, I captured the moonlit silver mountains here – a beautiful full moon. My room was very bright on Mid-Autumn night, offering direct views of the snow-capped mountains outside. This was a unique experience.

🧹 **Hygiene Exceeded Expectations**: My biggest concern on the plateau was the accommodation conditions, but this place genuinely pays attention to detail. The bedding was dry and soft, with no dampness; the bathroom was spotless, and the smell of disinfectant was reassuring. The disposable towels and bath towels were pristine and fluffy, and even the corners were meticulously cleaned.
👨🍳 **Heartwarming Service**: The ******* lady at the front desk was warm and attentive, helping us carry our luggage up to the third floor without even breaking a sweat (impressive!). Upon check-in, she offered us warm butter tea and patiently explained precautions for altitude sickness. Although breakfast was simple, there was plenty of hot congee, highland barley cakes, and eggs, providing a warm start before hiking.

The first thing I saw upon entering the room was an oxygen concentrator – such a thoughtful detail is truly touching! For someone prone to oxygen deficiency or who gets stuffy while sleeping, it's a lifesaver; breathing becomes easier and I feel completely relaxed.
Plus, there are charging stations downstairs, so I no longer have to worry about battery anxiety when I'm out exploring. My car always comes back fully charged! It's hard not to love such considerate amenities.
The overall decor is very elegant, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable – a true five-star experience! I highly recommend it to anyone who values quality of life!
