I rarely write reviews, but this time I'm incredibly grateful to all the staff at Nomad for making my birthday so special and happy. First, the room's view was absolutely breathtaking; I could see two snow-capped mountains right from my bed. The room was also very clean, with a luxurious overall vibe. What surprised me most was that instead of paper tissues, they provided facial towels next to the sink – such incredible attention to detail! The person who thought of this is a genius! Next, I must praise the oxygen concentrator in the room. I suffer from severe altitude sickness, so for this trip, we brought our own rented oxygen machine to every hotel. However, once we got to Nomad, we realized that their nasal cannula type was far superior, so our rented one stayed unused the whole time. Finally, I really want to thank all the restaurant staff ❤️🫶🏻 For my birthday, my boyfriend wanted to pay the hotel to prepare a cake for me and had several specific requests. I love mangoes, so I wanted a mango cake. The female head chef at the restaurant was incredibly heartwarming; she told me the cake was a gift and wished me a happy birthday. I'm truly grateful to all of you. My boyfriend has some communication difficulties, but you patiently answered all his questions, and many things were actually beyond your scope of responsibility. Transporting supplies in Yading Village itself is challenging, so to be able to do all this in such a place is truly touching. There's also a small but delightful detail: I love watermelon juice and thought I wouldn't be able to find it here. Yet, on the morning of my birthday, I found it at the hotel breakfast! 🥹 Since returning, I've recommended Nomad to all my friends. 💕❤️ Your perfect service made my vacation perfect. Thank you all, and I wish everyone at Nomad happiness. ☺️ The only frustrating point was when we left the hotel; the driver dropped us off outside the parking lot and asked us to load our luggage in an illegal parking spot. We didn't understand the traffic rules and thought it was okay to park there. Luckily, I asked a traffic police officer, and it turned out to be a no-parking zone. I had to move 7 or 8 pieces of luggage by myself and was utterly exhausted. (I understand the driver was in a hurry to pick up other guests, but he shouldn't have made us stop on a road with oncoming traffic!)

Choosing this hotel was the luckiest decision we made on our trip to Daocheng Yading. From booking to check-out, we were meticulously cared for, making our Daocheng journey a truly wonderful experience. Soon after we booked, a lovely lady called us to confirm our itinerary and reminded us to buy tickets and be aware of the last bus time for the scenic area. When our bus arrived at the station, she was already there waiting for us, greeting us with a Hada. The room was clean and tidy, and the amenities were thoughtfully provided: there was a large standalone oxygen concentrator, and the entire room also had a diffuse oxygen supply system, ensuring a comfortable and peaceful sleep at high altitude. The toiletries were of excellent quality, and they even provided face masks, sunscreen, and lip balm with SPF – such warm and considerate details, especially given the strong UV radiation at high altitudes. The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning, directly facing Mount Xiannairi, offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains at sunrise and the sunset in the evening. The hotel restaurant served delicious food; the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. During dinner, the lady patiently explained the short and long routes for exploring Yading, along with helpful tips to avoid common pitfalls, saving us the hassle of planning. On our third day, we had to check out early and wouldn't have time for breakfast, so the hotel thoughtfully packed portable breakfast for us to eat on the go. The attentive and thoughtful service, combined with the stunning snow mountain views and excellent facilities, truly enhanced the happiness of our entire trip. If we ever come back to Daocheng, we'll definitely stay here again!

The room has a stylish decor, great natural light and ventilation. The mattress is soft, the duvet is very clean, and it's a very comfortable and cozy place to stay. The soundproofing is also good. Thumbs up!

The owner and customer service were incredibly warm and friendly. They provided useful tips well in advance and offered advice on park visits based on our itinerary, not to mention luggage transfer service to and from the station. After a long hike, it was best to have dinner at the hotel's restaurant – the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The only minor drawback was that the bathroom facilities were a bit old; the stopper in my room's sink couldn't lock, so I'd suggest the owner fix it promptly. All in all, it's a highly recommended hotel.

A bowl of noodles with soy sauce is 25 yuan. Is it too expensive? I asked the shop owner before if the oxygen was 20, but later he said it was 25. The style of the inn is quite good, but it is not popular. The lobby is dark and no one is there all day long. The sister of the inn thinks that everyone wants to write a good review and get 50 yuan, so she added me on WeChat and told me ”Rules!” ”You must write 100 words, and the platform will review it before returning it to me!” Ha ha! What a joke! I have never written a review with so many words, but I am disappointed! I have always been a person who tells the truth. Why do you want me to give you a good review just for 50 yuan? How is it possible.

The hotel staff gave us a warm welcome and spoke excellent English. We were thrilled to receive a complimentary room upgrade to a larger room with a stunning, clear view of the mountains. We had such a wonderful time relaxing in the room. The staff provided information and helpful recommendations for our itinerary, ensuring we made the most of our time at the national park. They even pointed out the best viewpoints and the perfect time to catch the sight of the golden mountains lit up by the sunlight. the hotel has three incredibly cute dogs! If you love pets, you will enjoy playing with these friendly furry friends. Location-wise, it’s very convenient and close to the bus station. In my opinion, a 3-day, 2-night stay here is absolutely ideal to fully enjoy the experience.”

Xiaodong have been really helpful giving us suggestions and helping us on logistics. He went above and beyond trying to fix something for us upon knowing Yading Park was closed for a day due to sudden snow, unfortunately even the shorter route was not possible. As we took the bus from Shangri-La and wanted to go to Kangding by bus on return, this is the perfect spot as it's a few minutes walk from and to Yading bus station, and surrounded by several restaurants, convenient stores and souvenir shops. One thing to note is the signage of the hotel says 'First Hotel' so look out for this instead, though taxi drivers do know them by Chujian Art Hotel. I feel the hotel / rooms are a bit run down. There are rooms for the hotel to improve, like cleanliness as I noticed some stains on carpet floors and pillows. Some items are about to be broken/fall apart. Next to the sink, would be great to have a little shelf to put soap holder, and guests can place their personal toiletries. Adding a doormat in front of bathroom would be great as the tiles are slippery when wet. Do specify if you want your bed to be made as well: otherwise, the maid would just clean the trash and supply toiletries, water.

The room was clean and hygienic, the facilities were complete, the sheets were newly changed, the lobby had Rhodiola water, and the hot water was boiled, and the service was intimate and thoughtful. And the altitude is low, there is a supermarket restaurant at the entrance of the hotel, I don’t want to go one step back from the scenic spot, the takeaway is very expensive, you can go directly to the hotel to rest at the door, breakfast is not bad, recommended! ! ! ! !

This was the best accommodation on our trip! The room was clean with no strange odors, the bed was very soft, and there was plenty of hot water. It was such a pleasant surprise to find such comfortable lodging at high altitude. The location was easy to find, parking was convenient, and the service was warm and attentive. Highly recommend!

The most surprising part of my trip to Daocheng Yading was this hotel – it completely exceeded my expectations and deserves a five-star rating! The location is superb, the service is excellent, and getting around is incredibly convenient. It's just a few minutes' drive to the scenic area entrance, and some hotels even offer their own shuttle service at the same price as public transportation. Plus, you don't need to share a ride; they even pick you up and drop you off alone. There are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and pharmacies nearby, offering a quiet oasis amidst the bustling city, making it convenient for both sightseeing and daily life. The room experience was simply phenomenal! The ******* aesthetics blend seamlessly with modern design, with meticulous attention to detail. The Thangka decorations in the corridors and the wooden décor create a wonderful atmosphere. The best room was the one with a snow-capped mountain view – floor-to-ceiling windows facing the mountain peaks, and waking up to sunlight streaming into bed was incredibly comfortable. The room was impeccably clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable, toiletries were complete, and the hot water supply was reliable, making showering a truly relaxing experience. I slept soundly and peacefully. Electric blankets and a humidifier were provided, keeping the room warm and dry even in winter – such thoughtful details! The service was also impeccable! The staff were warm and attentive, turning on the hot water in advance and patiently explaining the tour route and precautions against altitude sickness. They provided free oxygen concentrators and even helped with vehicle booking and luggage handling, offering a welcoming and family-like experience. The local restaurant served incredibly authentic ******* cuisine, with delicious yak hotpot, matsutake chicken soup, and rich, comforting butter tea. Here, you can see snow-capped mountains through the window, gaze at the starry sky, and breathe in pure, clean air. It's the perfect choice for accommodation in Daocheng Yading, offering both a taste of ******* culture and attentive service! Excellent value for money; I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely stay here again next time. Highly recommend it to everyone visiting Daocheng Yading!
