Took my mom out for a trip and saw Aling's live stream on Douyin. She came across as very practical, genuine, and unpretentious, so we decided to stay for a few days. Overall, it was a really good experience. As soon as you enter the courtyard, there's a water feature with koi fish, which gives a vibrant and lively feel. The two young men working there were incredibly attentive and patient in answering our questions, and their demeanor was very refined. We also had the good fortune to meet a compatible travel couple, Sister Liu and her husband, at Aling's place. It felt like such a serendipitous encounter for people from the north and south to meet here. In the evening, we gathered in Aling's courtyard to chat, drink tea, and share our travel experiences. It was truly delightful. Thank you, Aling, for bringing us all together!

YoYo_7797Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy.
Service: Attentive and kind.
Environment: Dominated by wood tones, very textured.
[Lanshe Courtesy] Tea Tasting: The afternoon tea is definitely worth taking your time to enjoy.
I happened to be suffering from altitude sickness and a cold that day, and the hotel thoughtfully prepared brown sugar ginger tea for me. Many thanks!
The hotel is conveniently located about 200 meters from Zhongyi Market, an easy walk.

Located next to Heilongtan Park, the biggest surprise was its 'tranquil yet central' location. You can reach the park in just a few minutes, and the Old Town is about a ten-minute walk. This allows you to easily immerse yourself in the bustling atmosphere whenever you like, then retreat to a peaceful environment. The room's balcony was a great bonus. The hosts were generally warm and welcoming, with thoughtful touches like airport pick-up, tea service, and afternoon tea. Minor drawbacks included the narrow alley making parking a bit tricky, and during summer, there was no snow on the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, plus finding a taxi around the Old Town was difficult.
Overall, the value for money is better than staying right in the heart of the Old Town, making it perfect for a leisurely trip to Lijiang. We never wanted to leave the guesthouse each day.
Finally, a complaint about Trip.com: the same room type was nearly 200 yuan more expensive than on Qunar, which felt like a lot of wasted money! Aren't they part of the same platform company? I'd really like to hear an explanation from Trip.com customer service.

Guest UserOther places just say 'the customer is king,' but you guys truly prove it with your actions! Even before we arrived, the front desk staff met us at the ancient city gate. We didn't have to lift a finger; they handled all our luggage and took it straight to our room. Talk about seamless service! As soon as we stepped in, a lovely staff member brought us tea and desserts – so thoughtful! The owner, 'Tieniu,' greeted us at the entrance with incredible warmth. He first explained the layout and then gave us a tour. The most impressive part? He had already turned on the air conditioning in our reserved room! Truly amazing. After resting in the room for a bit, a staff member brought us fruit and a handwritten card! The handwritten touch completely exceeded my expectations; it felt like catching up with a long-lost friend. And there was afternoon tea, breakfast, and even custom cocktails in the evening – all with choices for us. I honestly feel they genuinely demonstrate 'the customer is king' through their actions; they put so much heart into it. They're incredibly considerate, thinking of everything we might need before we even do. Seriously, no exaggeration needed!!!

jennysumThis has been the most satisfying B&B I've ever stayed in. The facilities are excellent, the service is attentive, and responses are quick. They offer free high-speed rail pickup, luggage transfer, welcome afternoon tea, and bedtime milk. When we found a drain odor in our room, the staff checked it out and upgraded us immediately, resolving the issue promptly. The toiletries are also high-end, and you can even take home the slippers, bath towels, and regular towels. Aside from the slight noise issue and a limited breakfast selection, everything else was perfect. I would definitely choose Po Xin Yun She again next time.

Guest UserMy flight was re-routed to Lijiang, so I booked a stay at the Guotai Mansion B&B Hotel in the ancient town right before boarding. Its location is excellent, close to the Grand Water Wheel attraction. The hotel is a two-story, courtyard-style building, full of ancient charm, clean, and beautifully decorated. In the lounge, there's a large tea table where friendly staff are always ready to brew a pot of fragrant tea and offer some snacks – it felt so warm and cozy. For breakfast, they make a fresh bowl of special rice noodles, which were delicious. Overall, the service was truly attentive; they even picked me up and dropped me off at the drop-off point and helped with my luggage. The proprietress is a kind and beautiful young lady. She enthusiastically recommended various places to eat and explore, shared lychees sent by her friends, and even gave us a voucher for a golden ear sashimi roll at a mushroom hotpot restaurant. I was truly touched. It's a shame my trip was so short; I'll definitely stay longer next time! Highly recommend experiencing it!

Igor-dRuoshiguang Liuying Inn is a fantastic little place set in a perfect location in Lijiang old town. The location is close enough to everything you would need but tucked away to ensure a quiet and peaceful stay. The staff were amazing and helped us immensely. Everyone was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The rooms were spotless and had a nice charm to them. Heating worked perfectly and kept us warm during the cold nights. Highly recommend - we hope to return one day!

I appreciated the convenient location and service, but the misleading tour arrangements, unexpected extra charges, and poor coordination made my overall stay frustrating and disappointing.
Location: The hotel is in the southern part of the Old Town, which has fewer crowds than other areas. It’s quieter, still beautiful, and easily accessible.
Service: The hotel offers one complimentary train/airport pickup if arranged in advance (for 3 night stay). The staff helped carry my luggage from the South Gate (cars can’t enter the Old Town) and provided welcome fruit upon request. Breakfast was as described, though the noodles were undercooked. The staff were responsive and helped me book tickets, including a trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain—but this is where things went wrong.
Initially, the hotel staff quoted me a reasonable price that matched my research and said the schedule was flexible, I could spend as much time as I like. When I went to book, they suddenly told me I needed to pay about 200 RMB more because I was a foreigner—something I knew wasn’t true from my experience in other cities. They also said lunch was mandatory. I was short on time and wanted convenience, so I accepted the extra charges.
Although I was told that jackets, oxygen bottles, and water would be provided, the driver took me and other Chinese tourists to a store to buy additional oxygen and energy drinks at four times the normal price. There I was told the “free” oxygen bottle was too small—information the hotel hadn’t mentioned. I bought one just in case but never needed it.
I booked a sunrise tour with a 5 a.m. pickup, but we didn’t actually see sunrise at the mountain—partly due to weather, partly because the schedule wasn’t designed for it. The driver took me to Blue Moon Lake first, then the cable car, and the Impression of Lijiang show last. He kept saying I was short on time, so I needed to buy an additional ticket for battery car to get around and rushed through Blue Moon Lake without knowing how long the walk should take, only to end up waiting an hour at the cable car.
After the show, we were taken to lunch, which had no menu—just a very basic hot pot shared with random strangers seated at the same table. The driver texted me to hurry up because other passengers were waiting and even told me that they didn’t pay for lunch because they knew it wasn’t good. That upset me even more. Overall, I felt rushed, overcharged, and misled, and the whole experience made the trip far less enjoyable.
Amenities: The amenities were as described, but there was no daily housekeeping or towel replacement.

Guest UserThe owner warmly welcomed us, helped with our luggage, and thoughtfully introduced us to fun places nearby, instantly making us feel at home. Check-in was super fast, with absolutely no annoying waiting. The room was incredibly spacious, decorated warmly and comfortably, and the bedding was soft and skin-friendly. I slept soundly and woke up feeling refreshed. The room was spotless, and the bathroom had no strange odors, showing that the cleaning was meticulously done. You can even enjoy tea, chat, play cards, and drink with the owner. It's perfect for a trip with friends. A truly fantastic travel experience – friends coming to Lijiang should definitely check it out! [Strong][Strong][Strong]
