GGuest UserThe courtyard/terrace is very stylish, with green plants and log furniture, making it a perfect place for taking photos and checking in! The host is friendly and will provide early check-in information. Local specialties will be given upon meeting.
Location and convenience: Quiet in a busy area, 5 minutes walk to the market entrance, very convenient. The room is very clean and not noisy at night.

At first, it was just because of its simple but poetic name, which was different from other homestays. I didn’t expect that this seemingly sloppy choice would add a different color to this trip. On the first day we arrived in Lijiang, the boss arranged a pick-up service for us. The boss, the driver, and the housekeeper, everything from pick-up to check-in was very smooth. During the period, the boss also actively helped us with some minor problems, recommended places to visit, and chatted around the stove with tea in his spare time. We left Lijiang today. Thank you very much for the hospitality of the boss these days. We also feel very lucky to meet such a sincere person. I wish you all the best and good health!

AAnonymous UserThe service was great. I got the complimentary car drop off at Shuhe Ancient Town. After the end of the day, when I was back at the hotel, they also offered the free afternoon tea set as well.
I need to check out early in the morning, so the hotel gave me the breakfast to go instead. It consists of fruit, bread and biscuit.
A little note is that all the hotel rooms face the mountain but not every rooms have a direct view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

LLEEWe enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return.
Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet.
Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy.
Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea.
Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent.
Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights.
Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!

GGuest UserThe highlight of our 5 nights in Lijiang is definitely the conversations we had with the 3 staff at the xinsu! We were always greeted warmly by them, with an invitation to sit, drink tea, and chit chat with the team. I must add that they have a great sense of humour. The team was always ready to answer our questions (via WeChat) while we are out :D [these conversations were in mandarin]. Part way through our stay, they asked if we were ok to switch room with an old couple who had difficulties climbing to higher levels - I suppose this was a great blessing for us! The 2nd room on the 4th level had great view. If weather permits, we can see 玉龙雪山 from the tea place! Unfortunately, the days that we were there were cloudy/rainy. Attached is a photo of what we saw on the balcony just outside this room (when we were still staying in the first room).

The main point is that the boss is very enthusiastic, introducing how to play and helping to book a chartered car. By the way, the driver sister is also very enthusiastic and took us to Yulong Snow Mountain. Thank you for providing delicious afternoon tea and sweet soup, which we always finish every time. The coffee made by the little brother is also very delicious. The main point is that it is free and unlimited. It was a very satisfying trip. Everything is just right!

SSihanA boutique inn with an ancient charm. It enjoys a prime location at the south gate of Lijiang Ancient Town, and is within walking distance of the core area of the ancient town. The surrounding transportation is convenient and worry-free. The traditional Chinese all-wood building has a unique charm. The antique carved beams and columns complement the Naxi courtyard, as if you are in a time corridor.
The architectural characteristics of the all-wood structure make the room soundproof slightly inferior to modern buildings, but the store thoughtfully equipped the bedside table with earplugs.

GgraceccwBefore making the booking, I was quite skeptical of all the rave reviews (honestly, they all look like AI-generated). I am so glad that I went ahead with my booking in the end. The reviews were true! LaMaison was truly the highlight of our trip!
Arrival: If you arrive in a standard sedan car, you can be driven to the doorstep of the hotel. We arrived in a 19-seater tour bus and were dropped off a short walk away. That was no problem at all as we didn’t have to worry about our luggage. The hotel manager/butler A-Liu contacted us beforehand and arrived right on time to help ferry all the luggage in a cart.
Location: Excellent. With LaMaison located at the edge of the Old Town, we enjoyed both the convenience of exploring the Old Town on foot and a peaceful and quiet environment.
Rooms: As mentioned by the other reviewers – the rooms are new, comfortable, beautiful and big (for the price). In fact the whole hotel was beautiful - every corner was photo-worthy.
Service: Our hotel butler, A-Liu was contactable and responsive via wechat. He addressed all our questions and needs promptly. He also offered us an upgrade so that my teenager could have a private area in the room and a comfortable bed instead of just an extra mattress.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience at LaMaison very much. The value was unbeatable. As part of the room price, we were offered daily breakfast, afternoon tea, supper and drop off at the train station at the end of the stay. A-Liu also provided a detailed map of the Old Town and offered to take us on a private tour of the Old Town

Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does.All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel.The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.
