Outstanding
BBenjo8The location was very peaceful and not too far from the Main Street of Jiaoxi. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there was a very nice live music performance in the evening. The pool area was nice, and the hot spring private areas were sufficient. The breakfast and dinner buffet I would say is one of the best in Jiaoxi in terms of the Spa hotels and the rooms were well sound insulated. We would definitely come again and my infant certainly enjoyed it. One of the more expensive hot spring hotels in Jiaoxi but if you want a quiet and peaceful few days with activities, good food and with easy access to the mountains for a nice walk I would recommend this place. Minor criticism for the rooms I would say is the cleanliness. There were slight dust in places and because there is carpet, and if you’re prone to dust allergy be prepared. Saying that if they have a room without carpet that would be perfect, but nonetheless, we would definitely come again.

HHUANG JUNGSHENThe housekeeping staff were sincere and promptly addressed guests' issues. The concierge team created unforgettable memories and happy times for guests. The hot spring bath in the room was large enough for the whole family to enjoy together, laughing and having a great time. Thank you, Phoenix Hotel, for your thoughtful arrangements and hospitality. The food has improved significantly, it's truly refreshing and a huge step up from six months ago – a testament to diligent management and operation. This time, I hosted foreign friends, and they were all amazed. Thank you all!

GGuest UserThe bathtub in the room was large, and the water was clean and warm, making for a very comfortable soak. The room size was adequate. The hotel's breakfast was just average, mostly boiled vegetables and cold dishes. Meat-eaters might not find it satisfying. The room thoughtfully provided two bottles of water, the bed firmness was just right, and the soundproofing was excellent, leading to a great night's sleep.

GGuest UserThis time, I opted for a sea-view room. Inside, you can soak in the hot spring while enjoying the ocean view, and there's a balcony to feel the breeze and take in both the sunrise and the night view. The staff were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. During late-night snack hours, there's a great selection of alcoholic beverages, plus a large screen to watch sports games. It’s perfect for families or couples looking for a relaxing getaway.

GGuest UserThey offer afternoon tea and a late-night snack service. I initially thought the late-night snack would be very simple, but it was actually much more substantial than I expected – enough to fill me up completely. The room was simple and clean, and while the bathtub was a bit small, it was still adequate for two people.

AAnonymous UserA friendly hotel, with polite, welcoming staff. The rooms had great WiFi, large TV and as others have said an amazing Japanese style hot spring bath. We thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi pool, snacks during the day (including wine)and trekking nearby. The rooms unfortunately had thin walls/doors so you could hear people around you, beds were small and quite uncomfortable and the ac in the room did not provide heating so we found it quite cold. The dehumidifier in the room was also very loud. Breakfast was good, but would be nice if they made it clear of egg options available. I found it strange the local hot springs were public right outside, this made it seem less secure that anyone can walk in the hotel.

GGuest UserThis is my third stay at this hotel, and each visit brings a different feeling and pleasant surprise. This time, I got to experience yet another room design, and you can really feel the hotel's dedication to space and detail. Every room type has its own unique style and comfort, which keeps things from feeling monotonous and actually makes me look forward to each new stay. The room was, as always, clean and tidy. The overall atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable, perfect for unwinding during a trip. The staff were also as friendly as ever, making me feel at ease and well-cared for from check-in to check-out. This time, I also paid more attention to the hotel's surroundings. There are actually quite a few great cafes and shops nearby, making for enjoyable strolls in the morning or afternoon. The location is very convenient overall, whether it's for dining out or getting to other places. All in all, it's a hotel I'd definitely return to again and again. Not only are the basic amenities excellent, but there's also a wonderfully relaxing and reassuring vibe. I'll certainly choose to stay here again if I have the chance, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a more leisurely travel pace.

GGuest UserLocation: The hotel boasts a superb location, right next to a convenience store and surrounded by numerous dining options, making it incredibly convenient. Staff: While the staff's English was limited and no Japanese was spoken, they made a genuine effort to communicate effectively using smartphone translation apps. We encountered no issues whatsoever. Hot Spring: Absolutely fantastic! The hot spring water had a slightly cloudy, almost silky texture that left my skin feeling incredibly smooth afterward. The onsen facility itself was thoughtfully designed, featuring excellent ventilation and strong water flow, which encouraged me to enjoy multiple soaks. The large windows created a bright and open atmosphere during the day and a wonderfully tranquil mood at night, truly enhancing the entire hot spring experience. I would absolutely love to stay here again on my next visit to Jiaoxi Onsen!

AAirplane mode NiI really wanted to love this hotel because it has some great features, especially for families. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made a positive impression right away. However, there were several downsides that made the experience disappointing. The location feels quite isolated—almost like you’re in the middle of nowhere. While there is a train station about 10 minutes away, getting there with a stroller was difficult and inconvenient due to the lack of sidewalks. Unfortunately, our room had a leaking ceiling that appeared moldy, which was concerning and definitely not what you expect from a hotel of this caliber. On top of that, you can hear trains passing by every so often, which can be disruptive. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was for the kids’ playground and the buffet. While the playground was a nice feature, the buffet did not meet expectations as it was disappointing for a fancy hotel. Overall, the friendly staff were a highlight, but the issues with the room, location, and dining made the stay fall short of expectations.
