I recently stayed at the Wyndham Grand Hot Spring Resort in Liyang, and I had high expectations given its excellent rating on Ctrip. Upon arriving at the hotel parking lot, a butler promptly met us with a shuttle to take us to check-in. The service was fantastic and very thoughtful, with every staff member greeting us with a smile. Since the hotel is relatively new, the facilities are great, and I was impressed to find Guerlain toiletries provided. While the hotel features an alpaca farm and Dinosaur Valley, which are perfect for younger children, the kids' club was a bit small and underwhelming, which was a slight letdown. My favorite part was definitely the infinity pool and hot springs located on the cliff top. They offer a fantastic ambiance during 'blue hour' and the views are stunning. It was incredibly comfortable, even on a summer evening, as it wasn't too hot. The breakfast was also excellent. I'd definitely consider a second stay here, especially if checking in on a Friday when it's less crowded for an even better experience. [Proud R]

Our recent stay was truly exceptional, and a large part of that was due to the outstanding service provided by Song Likun, our host. From the moment we arrived, Song went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our stay was perfect. Their warm and professional demeanor made us feel welcome and valued throughout our visit. Song's attention to detail was remarkable, as they anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Whether it was arranging special requests or providing insightful recommendations, Song's dedication to guest satisfaction was unparalleled. What stood out the most was their genuine hospitality and the personal touches they added to our experience. It’s rare to encounter someone who takes such pride in their role, and Song is truly a credit to their team. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here and will certainly return, thanks in large part to the exceptional service from Song Likun.

When we arrived, the dam had been repaired, and we could see the beautiful view of Tianmu Lake from the hotel door. The hotel housekeeper contacted us in advance, and we stayed in the private soup room and gave us fish head vouchers. For other dishes, we ordered black rice and The small bamboo shoots are quite delicious when cooked, and the experience is still very good!

Before the trip, the housekeeper gave some thoughtful suggestions for attractions and recommended routes for elderly and family tours. After checking in, the room was very clean and tidy. The auntie cleaned the room and carefully covered the lid of the mineral water bucket for me. When there were activities at nearby attractions, the housekeeper reminded me on WeChat a long time in advance whether I would participate. After checking out, he would also pay attention to whether I had arrived home safely. The scenery outside the room was very comfortable and relaxing. It was considerate and comfortable. The children kept saying that they would stay here again next time 😁

Food: Breakfast was varied, with western，asian and local. We had Dinner at the main buiding using ******* set menu and it was a good deal, as the 2 person deal is enough to feed 4 and tasted quite delicious. Location: it is a resort so you are going to spend most of the time on the resort ground. We booked 3 day 2 night and the time was enough to explore everything. Nice scenery. Amenities: only a few activities were covered in our package so it will depend on your package. The package was confusing and we didnt know exactly all the activities that were free or cost extra. The reception on check in should have explained all of this upon check in, but maybe they are not trained, or maybe because our accomadation at pinecone is considered 4 star so they used lower quality staff. All the free stuff are a bit lame and service was poor except for the craft lady who actually showed us a wechat app for the hotel where free activity voucher can be found. They outsourced the activity area so that is really poor decision as it hurts the brand image due to service levels. For hotel staff, thumbs up to the shuttle ladies, who you call to get from one place to another. They are prompt and speedy. Service: check in staff was professional but not warm. As mentioned, the activity area is outsourced so most staff are cold and seemed rude, except for the craft lady who was actually decent. But considering this resort and the type of guest, i would consider this really bad. Cleaniness: the room is very clean, a bit worn (see pics of wall), but it feels quite clean.

A very comfortable bed and pillows, nice shower, good wifi, ideal location, and customer service of a high standard. Location - 10 minutes by taxi from Liyang railway station 15rmb, bus 1 goes to the coach station, and many restaurants within walking distance. Customer service - from the moment I checked in, I received friendly, helpful, and sincere customer service. I was given help when I asked about buses to Yushui hot spring. The breakfast was very delicious (eggs, salad, noodles, bacon, yoghurt, cakes, baozi, corn, sweet potato, rice, soup, and more).

The decoration style of the hotel is very comfortable, the details are very distinctive, and the lawn in the public area is also good. Very close to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. I had a meal in the Chinese restaurant and it tasted good. There may be too many people on the Dragon Boat Festival. I also sent handmade yogurt and dumplings. The private soup in the room is also very good, so I didn't go to the public hot spring. You can order takeaways from milk tea and coffee When I left, I was too late to take a taxi. The front desk staff offered to send the station. Thank you very much 🙏 I almost couldn't catch up with the high-speed rail back to Shanghai.

The front desk proactively inquired about my experience upon check-out, which showed great attention to detail. The decor was modern yet warm, with thoughtful touches in every detail. A fantastic experience! The pillows and blankets were so soft! I slept incredibly well! We booked a 2-day, 1-night trip around the area during the Qingming Festival. We were really drawn to the loft family room and booked it through a promotion. The experience was fantastic! ദ്ദി（˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ） ✧ The guesthouse is quite spacious, and apparently, the Liyang Cultural Tourism Bureau borrowed the space to hold their ”Straw Festival” event there – it was packed and very lively! There's a parking lot, which is very convenient for those driving. The room has a rocking horse, plush toys, Lego toys, and children's books. There's also a swing in the courtyard. It was incredibly sunny those two days, so we could stay in the room without going outside. The package included riding miniature horses and feeding fish, but we didn't do those activities because of the crowd and the lack of motorized facilities. The food at the guesthouse was a bit heavy on the flavors, but the breakfast, while simple, was sufficient. Overall, it was a great experience. The kids were very happy, and the manager responded promptly to any issues. We'll definitely choose this place again next time!

Check-in: Ctrip free room upgrade wasn't provided. Room cleanliness: Shortly after checking in, I saw small bugs on the bed, so they came to change my room and upgraded me two room types. In reality, there wasn't much difference; they were practically identical. I later saw that the actual area for different room types in the hotel was the same. Breakfast: Not many options. Compared to most 4-star standards, I'd say there were half as many choices. Environment: There's a mall opposite, and it's newly renovated, so there's a slight smell.
