"Total disaster and happy to scam to take money and NOT care about doing it. The new owners have ignored maintenance, and the place is falling apart, mouldy, and disgusting. Mouldy beds & pillows, broken windows, broken shelves, disgusting dust build up on tops of cabinets/room dividers, mesh walls on aircon rooms, dirty aircon vents, ants in restaurant kitchen, deep green pools, empty garden ponds, poolside bar empty room, reception emptied and used for storage, pool deck unsafe, We refused to stay even one night. This isn't a luxury resort. We have used backpackers 'eco' accommodation that's nicer. Staff didn't really care when we complained. They have heard it all too many times before. Still fighting for even a part refund."

"Positives - the air conditioner worked well and the pool was kept clean. "Casino" is a loose term, 20 old pokies machines in the foyer was the only thing happening there so don't go expecting anything more. No food or drink available at the 'resort', and no fridges in the room is poor. TV in room has 2 channels - one which can't be viewed. Communication around the airport bus transfer wasn't great either."

"Beautiful oceanfront setting with relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Hosts Ann and Petter welcoming and helpful, offering plenty of local insights. In-house chef Andreas provides fresh and healthy dinners. A little remote but easy to commute to town via local buses. Expanse of beach and reef to explore right out the front (hosts provide expert guidance and equipment as required). Well tended native garden, comfortable and very clean facilities with excellent and attentive staff. Would definitely stay again."

Vanuatu Beachfront Apartments
"We opted to stay here after a week in Port Vila for quick and easy access to Hideaway Island for Snorkelling. The location was stunning, right on the beach with the most fantastic sunsets each evening. The locals use the beach regularly and it was lovely to see the kids and families playing and having fun in the sea. The studio apartment was fantastic, large double bed which was very comfy, sofa bed, kitchen facilities and good sized bathroom all overlooking the pool area. Air con worked great, keeping the large room cool. The price included free breakfast with lots of options (toast, yogurt, cereal etc) and lunch and dinner was also available at the resort which was great and very good value. The cocktails were the best and cheapest we had tried in Vanuatu! You can also purchase basics such as milk, break etc at the resort which is extremely handy to avoid having to go into Port Vila. Just up along the beach from the apartments is Mele Beach bar which offers more food and drink options. Over the weekends they put on a fire show which we really enjoyed but book a table as it is very popular (table 2 was our favourite table as it was directly under a fan which was needed in the hot weather). The staff were fantastic, extremely helpful and friendly. This is a little gem of a place and we will definitely be back!"

"The hotel is about a 40-minute drive from the city center and is not very large. It has its own beach and small pier. Guests can use canoes and SUPs for free; masks need to be rented. It's recommended to rent a car. The hotel charges 7000 VAT for a one-way trip to the city center, and 30,000 VAT for a full day's use with a driver. They don't give room keys; they say it's only for staff and guests, so there's nothing to worry about. Even our room door was difficult to close properly, so we just left it open. The food at the hotel wasn't very good. Breakfast was okay, but the penne pasta we ordered for lunch was extremely salty, and the fish burger for dinner had a bread as hard as a baguette. The pizza was okay, and the fries were good. The scenery is beautiful. We stayed for four nights, but lunch and dinner were the most inconvenient."

There is also a children's club for those with children, where employees teach children how to make local cookies, and there are also all kinds of recreational facilities. Breakfast was very rich.
