We really enjoyed our stay at Mangoes. It was impeccably clean and well located - a beautiful view of the lagoon and a bit cut off (but not too far) from the city. The service and facilities were generally very good, the pools were lovely and reception helpful in organising travel into town for us. The restaurant has a lovely array of dishes across the day, however there were a few instances where we felt they were over-priced. and a bit underwhelming in terms of portion sizes. Mileage may vary for others. We ended up opting for other restaurants in town. Would definitely recommend a stay for those looking for a chill few days in Vila.

again, i don’t understand why people are crapping on the resorts in vanuatu. I have stayed in far worse conditions than this in much more developed places. This hotel was perfectly fine, even exceeding my expectations. Yes the toilets are a little smelly, but again, you are in vanuatu!! Service was good, food was meh, but i would stay there again if Fatumaru Lodge doesn’t have space.

It was very rotten, very poor, and very old. I saw at least two big flying cockroaches inside. I was so scared that I had to fold up all the suitcases to sleep. The water in the toilet was also either ice cold or scalding hot. I felt very uncomfortable. Fortunately, it was only for one night. . . . . . . . . . .
