Everyone of us had a fabulous sleep and decided to join others for breakfast as we’d all had a few the night before. It wasn’t a problem us booking late for the breakfast and it was all great and they managed to get us all in. Food was hot and freshly made. Would definitely stay again!!"

"We needed a one night stay over in Ilkeston and booked Borrowfield Lodge through ***********. We were asked in advance our arrival time and when we asked if we could check in earlier than the normal time we received a lovely welcoming email from Nigel confirming this He was there to greet us on arrival and we were delighted to be upgraded to the large double room from the standard one which we had booked. Everything about the room was lovely, from the furnishings, bedding, towels, enormous bathroom, tea, coffee, water and fresh milk provided to the complimentary toiletries. We had trouble getting through to a nearby pub to book a meal and Nigel immediately rang the owner’s private number and secured a table for us. Nigel is so friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. We would highly recommend this little gem of a place and will definitely stay here again should we ever be in the area."

"We had a private hire meal for a group of 13 for a friend's 40th birthday. The venue is beautiful and requires very little dressing (they provided the linens and candles). The food was very tasty, fresh, well presented and reasonably priced. A big shout out to Zoe and Kimbereley who went above and beyond to look after us. They are brilliant and Zoe makes the best brownies I've ever had! I haven't stayed overnight (yet) but have seen some of the rooms and they are stunning. They have a cute garden too. I would definitely recommend for private hire and for their pop up restaurant nights (I've been to a few!). The Coachouse is a definite gem of Derby!"

"Stayed for two nights in this beautiful country hotel. A very warm welcome on arrival and then shown to a beautiful large room, The Kedleston. It had everything you could wish for and a very comfortable bed. I was staying to visit relatives nearby but it would make an excellent base for exploring the area. Kedleston Hall, National Trust is on the doorstep and a must to visit. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, I didn’t eat in the evenings but the menu looked really good and if breakfast was anything to go on it will be fabulous. I will definitely return to stay and also take my family to the restaurant. Thank you to all your excellent staff for a very enjoyable stay."
