Cheap Hotels in Seoul

"We chose this hotel with some trepidation, as it was our first trip to Korea and we wanted everything to go smoothly. The hotel exceeded all our expectations! We loved everything about it! It was clean, cozy, and the staff were incredibly hospitable. More details about our stay and what the hotel offers: In the room, we had toothpaste, toothbrushes, a comb, slippers, bottled water, plenty of towels, large beds, a TV, a well-functioning air conditioner, a small fridge, hangers, a bidet, and a hairdryer. The shower was combined with the toilet, but this didn't bother us at all; the water pressure was good and the water was clean. The dining area has everything you need for breakfast: cereal, milk, bread, cheese, ham, butter and jam, and various types of tea (though we used our own). There were four types of ramen available; we tried the non-spicy one (highly recommend, but add some sauce). There's also water and cups, which is very convenient. You can cook ramen, make toast, and there's a small oven and microwave. The rooftop is really cool, but its operating hours are limited (only in the morning until lunchtime). It's very cozy and beautiful up there. At the exit, there's a basket of umbrellas, but you'll find these almost everywhere in Korea. More about the location: It's a convenient and atmospheric neighborhood. There's a 7-Eleven nearby, and the Dongdaemun hotel where you can load money onto your Wowpass. There's also a currency exchange (the dollar rate was only 10 won different from Myeongdong), and we exchanged money there a few times so we didn't have to run around the city looking for other places. The subway station is convenient and very close to popular attractions. DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) is also nearby (I recommend visiting this design marvel and grabbing some ramen inside). Overall, the hotel is very good, new, convenient, and comfortable. P.S. The only thing missing was an iron. I'm used to hotels having them, but there wasn't one here. So, bring a portable steamer with you."

"The room was spacious and I loved the decor. It seems there's road construction nearby, so it can get noisy in the mornings, but they thoughtfully provide earplugs by the bed. The front desk staff were very warm and helpful. The hotel lobby also has a recreation area with a pool table. Breakfast was decent."

"This was a great place for a solo traveler! The location was perfect, right in front of DDP. It's in a multi-use building, so it might take a little searching to find it. Opening the entrance requires a touch panel, which might seem a bit tricky at first, but it's not difficult at all. The shower and toilet are in the same area with no partition, which some might dislike, but it's manageable if you don't mind things getting a little wet (lol). They provided a toothbrush and two bottles of water. The hairdryer was a Dyson. Even with the AC on, the room still felt a bit warm. My room was on a different floor than the check-in, but the lower floor had amenities like a microwave and coffee, and it seemed like the kitchen and other facilities were freely available for use!"

"Very happy with this hotel. If you are the type of person that plans to be out exploring Seoul for most of the day and just need a clean and comfortable nights’ sleep to do it all over again, this is the hotel for you. Currently staying here with my brother & we’ve booked two separate rooms, both cozy single rooms. Please note the single rooms can only accommodate one person!! The bed is amazing; you literally melt into the mattress! I’ve taken photos on 0.5 of my room so you get an idea. Very clean. Beautifully designed hotel with multiple areas to chill and relax that includes the lobby area on 2nd floor, lounge area on 18th floor and rooftop garden with amazing views! Excellent reception staff, fab housekeeping and well located; 7 eleven literally round the corner, ATM bank directly opposite and loads of places to eat within walking distance. Very well priced as well. Free gym and self laundry service on the ground floor, so all good with me. This will be my go to hotel when visiting Seoul. Wasn’t too bad getting from ICN airport to the hotel;got airport railroad train, subway then taxi. Didn’t realise until I checked in that there’s an airport limousine service that takes you directly to and from the airport directly and it’s cheap so will be using that service when leaving. There’s nothing not to like about this hotel. Works for me and will definitely book on my next visit."

"Traveling solo, I found the room wonderfully spacious. I could leave my suitcase open on the floor without it getting in the way. The decor was cozy, and both the room facilities and floors were impeccably clean, giving it a very home-like feel. The kitchen was well-equipped with cutlery, knives, pots, and a microwave, perfect for cooking your own meals. It was super convenient to grab instant noodles from the downstairs convenience store at night and cook them myself. The table was also large enough for two people to spread out and eat or do makeup. Check-in was a breeze. You just scan a QR code on the first floor to register, and the hotel sends the door code and room number to your email, then you can head straight to your room. It's about a 5-minute walk to both the airport shuttle bus stop and the subway station entrance (they're in the same spot), which is quite convenient. After leaving the hotel, turn right onto the main street, and there's a whole row of restaurants across the road. There's a potato pork rib soup place that is incredibly delicious – it was my first meal after arriving, and I was very satisfied. About 200 meters from the subway exit on the opposite side, there's also a BHC fried chicken that's super tasty and open until late at night. The nearest Chungmuro subway station is also very convenient. Line 4 takes you one stop west to Myeongdong, and directly east to Dongdaemun and Daehangno, basically covering all my travel needs. The bathroom had all the essentials like shower gel, hand soap, shampoo, bath towels, and toilet paper. The kitchen also had new scouring pads and kitchen paper towels. However, you'll need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste or buy them at a convenience store. Check-out was basically just scanning a QR code. You do need to dispose of your own trash, but it's simple: separate recyclables like plastic bottles, cans, and paper bags, and then put general non-recyclable waste in one bag. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would definitely choose this place again on my next visit."

"The location is excellent. The airport limousine bus stops right in front of the hotel. Subway Lines 5 and 1 are just a 3-5 minute walk away, and Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung Palace are also within a 10-minute walk. The starting point for the sightseeing bus is only 20 meters from the hotel entrance. Myeongdong is also close, about a 10-15 minute walk or a short taxi ride. Although the hotel is a bit older, the facilities are complete, it's clean, quiet, and the self-service laundry is convenient. All the staff are enthusiastic and friendly. There's a 24-hour convenience store downstairs. I personally think this hotel is very friendly for first-time visitors to Seoul. There's even a Michelin-starred soup restaurant in the alley behind the hotel!"

"The hotel is located near a large outlet mall, but other than that, the area isn't very lively; it's more like an industrial zone. Its main advantage is its proximity to the convention center. Most of the guests are tour groups from India and Indonesia, and the smell of spices is incredibly strong – a real olfactory test in the elevators and restaurant! The hotel room itself was alright, but the bathroom outlet was broken. Not only was the cover falling off, but the hairdryer wouldn't stay plugged in unless you bent over and held it directly in front of the outlet. Everything else was acceptable, I suppose."

"I stayed for four nights. The price was very reasonable, the rooms were clean, the shower was spacious, and the underfloor heating was very comfortable. It was great value for money, very quiet, and a five-minute walk to the subway station, making it convenient to go anywhere. Accommodation prices in Seoul increase on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, so staying on weekdays is still very cost-effective. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Seoul."

"Out of the three hotels I stayed at during my trip to Seoul and Busan, this one was by far the most spacious for three people. The room was significantly larger than the other two, impeccably clean with no strange odors, and even had a dedicated area for luggage, so we could open all three suitcases without feeling cramped. The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk from both Line 2 and Line 5 subway stations. It's also not too far to walk to Line 4, Myeongdong (great for shopping!), and Lotte Duty-Free, maybe about 10-15 minutes. From our window, we had a fantastic view of N Seoul Tower and could even spot the G2 Hotel where we'd stayed previously. There's a GS25 convenience store on the first floor of the hotel, which was handy for snacks, drinks, and instant noodles. Our floor also had a public dining area and even a garment steamer! Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay 🏨. On the walk to Line 2, there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops. There's one coffee shop on the corner across the street that serves excellent coffee and has pastries that looked much more appetizing than the trendy Japanese bakery 'Aso**something' behind the hotel. Definitely recommend checking it out!"

"The hotel is brand new and very clean. It's fully self-service, easy to find, and just a 3-minute walk to the subway station with plenty of restaurants nearby, which is really convenient. Since I had an early flight, I contacted the hotel before arriving, and they provided clear instructions for luggage storage. They also sent the check-in procedures in advance. If you don't need much service, it's a great option. The only downside is the poor soundproofing."
