Cheap Hotels in Seoul

"We chose this hotel with some trepidation, as it was our first trip to Korea and we wanted everything to go smoothly. The hotel exceeded all our expectations! We loved everything about it! It was clean, cozy, and the staff were incredibly hospitable. More details about our stay and what the hotel offers: In the room, we had toothpaste, toothbrushes, a comb, slippers, bottled water, plenty of towels, large beds, a TV, a well-functioning air conditioner, a small fridge, hangers, a bidet, and a hairdryer. The shower was combined with the toilet, but this didn't bother us at all; the water pressure was good and the water was clean. The dining area has everything you need for breakfast: cereal, milk, bread, cheese, ham, butter and jam, and various types of tea (though we used our own). There were four types of ramen available; we tried the non-spicy one (highly recommend, but add some sauce). There's also water and cups, which is very convenient. You can cook ramen, make toast, and there's a small oven and microwave. The rooftop is really cool, but its operating hours are limited (only in the morning until lunchtime). It's very cozy and beautiful up there. At the exit, there's a basket of umbrellas, but you'll find these almost everywhere in Korea. More about the location: It's a convenient and atmospheric neighborhood. There's a 7-Eleven nearby, and the Dongdaemun hotel where you can load money onto your Wowpass. There's also a currency exchange (the dollar rate was only 10 won different from Myeongdong), and we exchanged money there a few times so we didn't have to run around the city looking for other places. The subway station is convenient and very close to popular attractions. DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) is also nearby (I recommend visiting this design marvel and grabbing some ramen inside). Overall, the hotel is very good, new, convenient, and comfortable. P.S. The only thing missing was an iron. I'm used to hotels having them, but there wasn't one here. So, bring a portable steamer with you."

"The hotel's location is excellent. It's just a few minutes' walk to the left after exiting Hongik University Station Exit 1. Cross the street, and you're in the Hongdae shopping area, making it super convenient for dining, shopping, and browsing. We arrived at the hotel late at night, and the reception staff were polite and attentive. They explained the hotel services and asked if we wanted to use the pool, also specially mentioning that there might be slight noise from nearby construction after 8 AM (though we didn't actually notice any). The room was well-equipped (you need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste), the air conditioning worked great, and the space was sufficient. Our room was cleaned daily. It was a very pleasant experience and definitely worth recommending!"

"This was the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, truly the best. I was only really there to sleep, so it more than met my needs. Having a convenience store right under the hotel was super handy. My only minor gripes were that the shower stall was a bit small, and adjusting the water temperature was tricky. The hotel staff were incredibly kind. They showed me how to use the coffee machine, told me I could enjoy breakfast on the balcony, and even used a translation app during check-out to tell me how happy they were to have guests from Japan. They were truly warm and welcoming. I'd definitely love to stay here again!"

"Super modern and stunning hotel, chic decor and vibey atmosphere. Great location too, very short walk from public transport stations and a 7-eleven next door. Staff are kind, room key was a passcode and QR code for the lift. Rooms are clean and stunning, very modern, huge smart TV with youtube etc, and THE comfiest bed ever!! Bathroom was quite small but had everything I needed - floors get quite wet due to shower positioning but lovely shower and products. Only downside was I had no safe and the lounge on 18th floor was under construction however the 19th floor rooftop was open to use, but slightly disappointed there wasnt anything up there other than seating areas - although these were nice and had stunning views! Could also leave luggage there before check in and after check out which was great."

"Check-in was a breeze. We arrived early and were able to store our luggage in the room. A quick scan of a QR code got us the entry password, so we could drop off our bags and head out. Check-in and check-out were also QR-code based at the door, with check-out just requiring the room number. The room was super clean and looked even better than in the pictures. The best part was having a table and chairs, a kitchen with utensils, a washing machine, and a big fridge – truly self-sufficient, no need to run up and down for anything. It felt cozy and comfortable. The whole process was simple and efficient, with no need for human interaction. Definitely a much better stay compared to the accommodations at Home's Red."

"The rooms are quite spacious, with two 1.5-meter beds, which is very convenient and roomy for a family of four. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Gwanghwamun Square and Gyeongbokgung Palace. Myeongdong is within walking distance, and there's a Tiger Bus stop right outside, which is very convenient. The hotel also offers luggage storage service, which is a thoughtful touch."

"The hotel is located near a large outlet mall, but other than that, the area isn't very lively; it's more like an industrial zone. Its main advantage is its proximity to the convention center. Most of the guests are tour groups from India and Indonesia, and the smell of spices is incredibly strong – a real olfactory test in the elevators and restaurant! The hotel room itself was alright, but the bathroom outlet was broken. Not only was the cover falling off, but the hairdryer wouldn't stay plugged in unless you bent over and held it directly in front of the outlet. Everything else was acceptable, I suppose."

"I stayed for four nights. The price was very reasonable, the rooms were clean, the shower was spacious, and the underfloor heating was very comfortable. It was great value for money, very quiet, and a five-minute walk to the subway station, making it convenient to go anywhere. Accommodation prices in Seoul increase on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, so staying on weekdays is still very cost-effective. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Seoul."

"Overall, it was a great experience. The hotel offers good value for money, and the hygiene was excellent. It's very close to the subway station, just a 3-5 minute walk away. Downstairs, across the street, there are plenty of restaurants and small bars. The hotel is located in the city center, near Myeongdong, and you can walk to the pedestrian street in about ten minutes. It's also quite quiet at night. There's a convenience store in the lobby downstairs, making it easy to buy things. I initially booked for 3 nights and wanted to extend, but there were no suitable rooms available. I'd definitely recommend it for future visits."

"When I arrived in the early hours, I couldn't open the door with the code. I ended up WhatsApping the owner, and three minutes later, they realized I had mistakenly booked another hotel. Luckily, I eventually got to the right place, and I'm very grateful for the owner's understanding and help. The hotel itself is clean, and the TV has YouTube and Netflix, which is great! I stayed on the 4th floor, and on the 5th floor, there's a washing machine with detergent pods, a microwave, and a stove. Plus, the hotel is close to the subway. I'm very satisfied with this hotel, and I would choose to stay here again if I visit Korea in the future."
