Cheap Hotels in Kobe

"This place is awesome!! I can feel that a lot of thought has been put in when they came up with services/things the hotel guests might like to have eg extensively long hrs for public bath, free ramen for supper, free icecream after bath, free yakult kinda drink for morning, massage chair, manga comic books to read, free dessert and water in fridge in room ….and the hotel is close to merikan park as well as train station! Absolutely loved my stay!"

"The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, and the view was great, so I felt like I was staying at a top-class hotel. The bath was also large, so I was able to relax and unwind. Breakfast was also delicious. Perhaps because it was a Saturday, it wasn't very crowded, so I enjoyed my meal at my own pace while admiring the beautiful mountain view from the second floor. The ice cream, rare cheesecake, and chocolate petit cakes were excellent, as was the dessert of yogurt, mango, strawberry, and chocolate jelly? sauce. Next time, I'd like to try the pastry chef's sweets for lunch. My only disappointment was that, while many hotels these days offer free coffee as a welcome drink, coffee was charged for and not available in the room."

"The staff were all very friendly, and the view was also excellent with great facilities. The only downside was that the hotel room was too small; once you opened a suitcase, it was impossible to move around, especially with two suitcases, which was quite a hassle. Downstairs, there's a subway station and a shopping street, which is very convenient, but it can also be quite noisy due to the subway."

"This hotel in Kobe was an excellent choice! The location is fantastic; you can walk to the subway, bus stops, and more. The hotel itself is very clean. We booked a leisure room, and it even had a massage chair, which was incredibly relaxing to come back to every day. There are also plenty of great restaurants around the hotel. Kobe is truly a wonderful city, definitely worth visiting. From the hotel, we walked to the bus terminal and took a bus to Arima Onsen hot spring village, where we enjoyed a full day of soaking in the springs. We also walked from the hotel to Kitano Ijinkan and indulged in cheesecake and coffee. For our last half-day, we walked to the cable car station for the Nunobiki Herb Gardens."

"The room was very clean, and there was plenty of space for one person. The window could be opened slightly, which was nice. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Daimaru Department Store, and there are several convenient stores nearby. The hotel breakfast is served at the restaurant next door and is excellent value for money at just 30 RMB. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit."

"While the hotel's location isn't as bustling as Kobe's Sannomiya commercial center, it offers excellent value for money, considering its convenient transportation, shopping, dining options, and the hotel's facilities. Opened in 2023, the hotel is very new. I booked a 21 sqm Superior Twin Room, and it didn't feel cramped at all. What I particularly liked was the separate wet and dry shower room, making for a very comfortable shower experience. The hotel elevator goes directly to the basement, where a left turn leads straight to the ticket gates for Hankyu and Hanshin Electric Railways. A right turn and a short walk through the underground shopping street takes you to Kobe JR Station. For major Kobe attractions, including Himeji Castle, you'll primarily use these three railway lines (there are also many subways and buses, but they're largely unnecessary). Day trips to downtown Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, and other places from this hotel are very convenient and affordable. Outside the hotel and in the underground mall, there are plenty of restaurants for dinner. What I loved most were the two large supermarkets downstairs: Life and KOHYO, which offer many delicious and safe Japanese snacks to satisfy any craving. Many fresh food items start getting discounts in the evening, including sashimi, sushi, and tasty bread, which you can buy to eat in your room. Microwaves are available on the 6th and 10th floors. The hotel service was very responsive to requests, for example, when I asked for an extra pillow or daily coffee packets. The hotel's drawbacks: the duvet was too thick, and although the air conditioning kept me cool, its noise affected my sleep; the refrigerator was also a bit noisy. As a side note, for those traveling independently, getting to the hotel from Kobe Airport: take the Port Liner (elevated light rail) for 18 minutes (340 yen) to Sannomiya Station, then transfer to Kobe JR, Hankyu, or Hanshin lines, and the hotel is just 2 or 3 stops away."

"The hotel is conveniently located near Kobe Sannomiya Station, making it easy to access transportation and perfect for shopping and dining nearby. The hotel rooms have deodorizing spray for underwear, which is great for removing odors after eating yakiniku (grilled meat) or at a bar."

"This hotel is grand and impressive, even feeling a bit like a shopping mall from the outside. Its location is fantastic, right next to Shin-Kobe Station, with direct access via subway exit B3. Plus, you can easily walk to the Nunobiki Falls, which offers a lovely, fresh atmosphere. It's perfect for a vacation. As for dining, the hotel has everything, from wagyu BBQ to Chinese cuisine. They also offer borrowing services and luggage storage. Overall, it's highly recommended!"

"Overall, it's pretty good, a comfortable chain hotel. Don Quijote is directly opposite the hotel, which is really convenient for picking up little things. The big subway station isn't very close, so if you have a lot of luggage, you might want to reconsider, otherwise you'll be dragging it across a lot of cobblestones, and your hands will get pretty sore. The hotel's location is probably in a bustling area. After 8 PM, there are many local 'energetic' young guys around, some drinking until 3 or 4 AM. The soundproofing isn't great, so if you're a light sleeper, I wouldn't recommend it. Behind the hotel are various local pubs, which can get very noisy at night. This is my second time in Kobe, and I'll definitely come back again, it's so beautiful!"

"This is my second time staying here. It's really convenient, quite close to both JR Sannomiya and Hankyu Sannomiya stations. Right next to the hotel there's a really well-stocked Hankyu OASIS supermarket, which is super handy for groceries. The hotel rooms are clean, and they offer complimentary tea and drinks from afternoon till evening, plus there's a happy hour."
