"We booked the Ramada by Wyndham Cairns City Centre after staying in a hostel with a shared bathroom, so having our own comfortable room was very welcome! 😄 The location was close to the city and convenient for getting around Cairns. Our room was comfortable and with balcony overlooking swimming pool and city view It was the perfect place for us to relax and recharge before collecting our campervan and starting the next part of our road trip. Good location, comfortable stay and a nice little reset before getting back on the road. Would happily stay again."
"The Executive Seaview Room was excellent value for money. The room had ceilings over 3 meters high, which made it feel incredibly spacious. The breakfast and dinner, along with all-day tea, snacks, and evening drinks, were all of a very high standard. We stayed for 3 nights, and there were no repeated dishes. The Executive Lounge is on an exclusive floor, so there were no other guests to disturb us, making it quiet and the restaurant uncrowded. The hotel also thoughtfully provided complimentary champagne and chocolates packaged from Cairns. Furthermore, the hotel's location is superb, within walking distance to the pier, city center, and night market, which is extremely convenient."
"Great service! Just a heads-up, if you're on the second floor with large luggage, it can be a bit inconvenient. They have a free swimming pool and a really spacious kitchen if you want to cook your own meals. Plus, there's a shopping center right across from the hotel, which is super convenient. It's also an easy walk to the market or night market."
"The best thing about this place is its excellent location. It's only a 3-minute walk to the meeting point for marine activities and a 10-minute walk to Cairns Station, the starting point for Kuranda tours. The front desk is also open 24 hours, making early morning or late-night check-ins and check-outs smooth. The coin laundry and dryer both cost $6 to use, and detergent is available for $1. The front desk also helped me exchange bills for coins. The photo is the view from my room."
"Right on the Esplanade. Van to/from center of town is great! Laundry service is fantastic! Bar and food is perfect! Staff is friendly and react to needs instantly! Great value!"
"First of all, this is not a 5* Hotel and is not trying to be. This is a budget place to stay and with that in mind, I thought it was great.
The rooms were large enough, had a table and chairs, kettle, fridge, microwave, cutlery, the most amenities so far in 4 months of travelling.
On top of that, there is a modest pool and a large cooking area that has utensils which was really useful for us budget travellers.
The location is as good as we could have got, 30 mind walk to the train station and harbour, an hour walk from the airport.
The place also has parking.
Although
- it was a little dirty and rusty in places
- there were lots of tiny roaches which comes with the territory, but still worth mentioning
- there were 3 floors in our block, each with a toilet, our toilet was cleaned but no toilet paper replenished for the 3 days we were there"
"Great hotel at a great price. Big, clean room with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and garden. The pool was also great and refreshing. Walking distance to all restaurants and major shops. They make good coffee in the hotel bar too! They don’t clean your room for stays of less than 7 nights, but we were able to get clean towels daily if we wanted them. Friendly staff and overall a great home for us while we visited Cairns!"
