Hotels with Breakfast in Bukhara

I had to wait a long time to check in when I arrived, possibly because I booked that same evening and the hotel hadn't updated the order yet. I had booked a city view room, but was told the hotel's order was for a courtyard view, and that city view rooms were no longer available. The hotel offered to let me switch rooms the next day, but I decided against it as I didn't want to go through the hassle again. Later, the owner waived the laundry service fee for me. The next day, they asked for my passport again, saying they forgot to register it during check-in the day before. It really made me wonder what the front desk staff was doing during check-in that night. The owner, however, was quite polite and had a good attitude. The courtyard view room lacked privacy; I had to keep the curtains drawn all the time, which made it feel a bit claustrophobic. The room itself was mostly fine, but the bathroom's exhaust fan might be too close to the kitchen's range hood exhaust, as I could smell cooking fumes from breakfast in the bathroom in the mornings. Breakfast was just so-so. It started at 8 AM, and by a little after 9 AM, some dishes were almost gone. For example, there were only two fried eggs left, perhaps they weren't refilled promptly. While breakfast was filling, the variety and taste weren't as good as breakfasts at similarly priced hotels in China, so don't set your expectations too high. The figs, though, were good and sweet. Overall, it felt more like a guesthouse. If you're looking for more professional service and more facilities, a chain hotel would be a better fit. But if you're looking for value for money, it's sufficient for a quick stopover.

A wonderful place! Located in the heart of the old town. A small but very modern and comfortable guesthouse! The host is amazing, everything is so well thought out for the comfort of guests 👍 The room is very clean and modern, comfortable and cozy with an oriental touch! We were greeted with smiles and seen off! For our convenience and to help us navigate the city, the host offered a city map with markings of the most beautiful places and the best restaurants! I am so glad to have chosen this guesthouse. It was our best experience among all the other hotels. The owner, Iha, was so hospitable. The rooms were not big given that there were 3 beds but it was comfortable. The toilet was clean and comfortable. Beautifully decorated too. I was having sinus problems and Iha made a pot of mint tea for me, complimentary. Very kind! He also took us on a tour to the Summer Palace. Som reviews has said it was difficult to locate. That’s because the entrance is facing a side lane. I am putting a pic here so that you can recognise how it look like as your taxi drive past.

The hotel is located north of Bukhara's Old City, with most attractions within walking distance. The Saffron Restaurant on the 3rd floor serves excellent food, especially the fried eggplant. However, the spa service was absolutely unacceptable. The therapist had an awful attitude and poor technique. Anytime we moved or were too tense during the massage, she would reprimand us with incredibly exaggerated, disgusted exclamations, completely ruining our day. On top of that, it didn't even provide the relaxation we sought. What's more, the time spent changing clothes was counted towards the massage duration, which would never happen in China. After writing a two-page complaint letter, the hotel offered a fruit platter as compensation and provided a written response stating that ”other guests in our tour group” were satisfied, implying the problem was ours. Yet, we were independent travelers who checked in alone, so the mention of a tour group was completely fabricated. Naturally, this was unacceptable. After a 30-minute standoff at the front desk, the final solution was a 30% discount, but then the fruit platter was withdrawn. As an incredibly arrogant hotel, I do not recommend staying here. They didn't even replenish toothpaste during daily cleanings. However, the rooftop restaurant is still recommended, with an average cost of around 200 CNY per person.

We enjoyed a brief, one-night stay at this charming hotel, and it left a positive impression. The room was spotless and well-maintained, offering comfort and a cozy atmosphere. Its location was truly unbeatable—just a few steps from the main square in the heart of the old city, making it the perfect base for exploring the historical sights and vibrant local culture. The hotel staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, going out of their way to ensure our stay was smooth. A special mention goes to the receptionist, who graciously covered our taxi fare when I didn’t have smaller banknotes on hand—an unexpected gesture that truly reflected the hotel's commitment to hospitality. Breakfast was modest but satisfactory, offering a simple continental selection that provided an easy, light start to the day. While it wasn’t particularly remarkable, it served its purpose for a short stay. Overall, our time at the hotel was pleasant and comfortable. The combination of its prime location, clean accommodations, and attentive service made for an enjoyable experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for travelers seeking convenience and a warm welcome in the city’s historic center. PS please put tea bags in original covers and add coffee into drinks selection.

The staff were friendly, and the rooms were fairly clean, but no slippers or conditioner were provided. The hotel is located in the old town, a 15-minute walk from attractions and slightly closer to good restaurants. Be aware that the roads are quite narrow with many turns and a lot of traffic, so drivers may need time to find their way; it is recommended to walk out a bit or hail a taxi from the main street.

This was by far the best hotel during our entire Uzbekistan trip. The breakfast was incredibly rich and diverse, the facilities were top-notch, and the staff were friendly and provided excellent service.

I chose to stay at Dunyo Palace as it had positive reviews by Trip members and it had an outdoor swimming pool. It was also great value for money for solo travellers. I arrived early than expected at check in and staff were ready to greet me! Wonderful reception staff! The hotel was bigger than expected and the reception area was very modern and clean with nicely decorated interior. I was shown to my room which was on the second floor. I stayed in a single persons room 205. It was bigger than expected with a big bathroom. There were extras like a bath, comfy chairs to chill. I had a fridge, kettle and a full size mirror. I like a full size mirror. The room also had air conditioning which was very good and very quiet. I had a view of the front of the hotel from my window that was pleasant. My room smelled very pleasant and was a non smoking room. My bed was very comfortable for my back. Breakfast was a buffet with a lot of Uzbekistan food which I had never tried before. It was a very busy breakfast area. There was a big range of different foods including fruits and cheeses. I liked the spinach parcels they were very tasty. A lot of the food was homemade. I thought it was delicious. There are a range of buses that offer great service to solo travellers arriving on the train. I caught a Marshuktra from the train station number 378. The Marshuktra dropped me at the bus stop on the road for No 1 bus that stops right outside the hotel. You can also take bus 7/33 All very easy and cheaper than a taxi. I would definitely stay at this hotel again because it has a very nice swimming pool that I used in the afternoon after a long morning sight seeing. I would highly recommend visiting Sitorai Mohi Hosa which is a short distance from the hotel and you can take bus 7/33 or walk. It’s an amazing visit if you are interested in art, culture and architecture. The hotel is very convenient for solo travellers who are a bit too old for Hostels! And like a cold swim after a long day sightseeing without breaking the piggy bank! The first pictures are of my hotel room and the front on the hotel. We had a wonderful stay at Safia Plaza Bukhara. The room was very spacious, bright, and beautifully designed in a modern style. And don’t worry about the brightness, the blackout curtains do an excellent job of keeping the room completely dark when you need to sleep. The hotel is in a great location. It’s about a 20-minute walk to Lyabi-Hauz, and there is a large Korzinka supermarket just a 5-minute walk away, which was very convenient. The staff were absolutely wonderful very kind, welcoming, and helpful. They kindly allowed us to check in early, and we were also able to check out a little later, which we really appreciated. The breakfast was another highlight. There was a great variety of food, including fresh fruit, nuts, different types of samsa, plov, chicken, and many other options. Overall, Safia Plaza is a stylish, clean, quiet, and comfortable hotel. We really enjoyed our stay, and the friendly and helpful staff made the experience even better. Highly recommended!
