GGuest UserThe hotel is located at the south end of the Bimai Bridge, and it is very convenient to go out and enjoy the scenery. The environment of the lobby is also very good, and there are free drinks for guests to taste. The bathroom in the guest room is commendable. It is not a one-piece bathroom. There is a separate shower room, and the bathing products are not bad. It is a pity that we live on the 5th floor. When you open the curtains, you can see the roof of the podium building, and there are many air conditioner outdoor units. In addition, it was a bit cold on the night of check-in. When I turned on the warm air of the air conditioner, I smelled a strange smell. It should be that the air conditioning pipe needs to be cleaned.

PPandaolimingThe hotel's location is excellent; it's a two-minute walk straight ahead after turning left from the JR station. There's a bus stop and a sightseeing bus pick-up point right outside the entrance. It's also just over a ten-minute walk to Nusamai Bridge. The hotel breakfast is delicious, and there are complimentary alcoholic beverages and soft drinks on the first floor in the evenings. They also offer free hot springs. The only downside is the questionable cleanliness, which needs improvement.

GGuest UserWe booked this hotel for its proximity to the Kushiro train station and bus station (these were just opposite the hotel) which saved us the walking in snowy conditions. The triple room we booked was surprisingly bigger than I would imagine for a typical Japanese hotel. We tried the hotel breakfast and it was good for value and have a spread of food choices. The staff were friendly and despite of language barrier, we managed to be able to request for assistance. I would like to thank Ryoyo for his help in checking for alternative bus to Sapporo due to train suspension and he further helped to contact our Sapporo hotel to inform that we will arrive later due to unforeseen train suspension. As per other reviews about the attitude of the hotel staff, I personally feel that they are really helpful but might appear rude to foreigners as they are not good at expressing themselves. The hotel has a manga corner and amenities shelf which you can grab special hair amenities and other types of pillows. There is also free washing machine which my husband used it daily to wash his clothes, free onsen and coffee. Overall, this hotel has great amenities and facilities. The famous tourist attractions were within walking distance from the hotel (MOO/ EGG/ Nusamai Bridge about 15-20mins walk).

AAyitkeOnsen is not nice as is shared among male and female at alternate times. But service and food is tiptop. The free flow bar is a nice touch up. Will totally recommended if you dont use the onsen🤭

GGuest UserThe front of the hotel looks nice but inside is old. The dinner is good but breakfast is soso. Will not stay here again as the room is overpriced. Lake Akan cruise centre is just behind the hotel n Ainu village is just 2min walk away. Location of hotel is very good.

GGuest UserWe took a tour bus directly to the New Akan Hotel. The hotel is very grand, and although it's a bit old, it's very well-maintained with a European-American style decor. I booked a Japanese-style lake view room in advance, and the size was definitely larger than what was stated in the description, at least 30+ square meters. The indoor and outdoor onsen, all-you-can-eat dining, and service were all excellent. The location is superb, close to both the onsen street and the ice mountain attractions. There are two minor drawbacks: the dinner includes a buffet yakiniku, and the smell can't be dissipated, so the entire public area smells like it... thankfully, the rooms are fine. Also, as many have mentioned, there are a lot of tour groups, all from Taiwan, so the hotel is crowded everywhere you go. You need to plan your meals and onsen visits to avoid peak times. Despite this, the hotel's order is still quite good. The internal shops are not tax-free. If I have the chance to come again, I would still choose this hotel, but I'd try to avoid the times when there are large tour groups, as the environment is quite important when you're on vacation!

The parking lot was spacious and the large public bath was nice, so I made a reservation without hesitation this time. It's just a short walk from the station, so I was able to see the marsh bell on the platform and the beautiful sunset.
The breakfast area was spacious and the morning sun streamed in through the glass windows, making it a great way to start the day. The staff were all very friendly, so I'd definitely like to return.
The view from my room was also great.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the suburbs of Lulu, the environment is quiet and comfortable. But it is located next to the Lulu City Zoo and only a 10-minute drive from the Red Crane Park, which is very convenient. The breakfast and dinner clerk is attentive.
