They also offered a bath salt station and a shelf with useful items that guests could borrow during their stay. The room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. "Paid breakfast was pretty good. Hotel staffs are nice and friendly. But there was a miss communication with the parking. We messaged hotel a month before our arrival regarding to the parking. We were told there is only public parking and need to be reserved. The quote was 3000 yen/night. We googled that near by parking area 24 hr is about 2000 yen. Therefore, on the day we decided to park in pastel parking (a car park) next to the hotel. By the time we checked in, the self check in machine showed there is a private parking in the hotel building and there is also an option of parking at pastel parking (1000yen/day)! Then, we thought okay, since we already parked there we just chose the public parking option. The staff gave us a parking voucher and told us insert it to the parking machine (I interpreted it in that way….). We thought we just need to insert the voucher to the machine when we drive out….. but it didn’t work, so we paid by ourselves. Later on, when we were back to the hotel and checked with the staff, we are told that we need to insert the parking ticket first then insert the voucher after. They did make a refund and the staffs are quite patient about our requests. Well it’s not a big issue, but still don’t understand why they gave us a quote of 3000yen/ night in public car park and told us there is no parking spot at the hotel. Clearly, they have and way cheaper than 3000/night…. In addition, there were only one set of towel / person, if you go to the onsen, you need to bring them. But room clean need to make an extra payment if you are staying more than two nights(not the check out cleaning). So don’t forget to dry your towel after onsen. e"

"A huge thank you to the ANA Hotel Kushiro for their help with our trip to eastern Japan. We couldn't book a taxi from Rausu to Lyuto after everyone else refused to help us. Hotel staff member Takaharu Oguchi (he probably won't see this, but I sincerely want to thank him) replied to several emails and came up with a plan for us (a, b, c). Kushiro has given us so many wonderful memories. The hotel's ocean view room had a great view, and we checked in smoothly as two adults and two children. Breakfast on the 18th floor of the hotel also had a great view. There's a convenience store and a local specialty shop called Moo next to the hotel, and it's a five-minute walk from the Motoi Bridge."

Waking up and finding wild animals in front of the window is priceless, as is doing private onsen from your room and being able to observe the flora and fauna from the window. We met this beautiful deer in front of our room who came to eat fresh herb and drink from the stream, letting herself be watched in peace and transmitted to us a huge peace and gratitude. "A truly memorable traditional Japanese experience. This is a very traditional Japanese hotel where we had the opportunity to experience staying in a tatami-style room for the first time. It was a unique and enjoyable experience for our family, and one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. The onsen was particularly impressive and was ranked by my family as the best among all the hotels we stayed at during our journey. The hotel enjoys a beautiful location directly in front of Lake Akan, allowing us to wake up to stunning lake views in the morning. The peaceful surroundings create a sense of serenity and make it a perfect place to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The location is also very convenient. The Lake Akan sightseeing cruise is located right next to the hotel, while the Ainu Village, shops, and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. Our stay included a traditional Japanese-style dinner, which was a completely new experience for us. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family. Breakfast was also included, giving us the opportunity to sample a variety of Japanese dishes. Overall, this was a unique and unforgettable stay that allowed us to experience traditional Japanese culture, hospitality, and cuisine in a beautiful lakeside setting."

"heads up if you are assigned a smoking room, you will smell cigarette/smoke odor across the hallway and inside your room BUT, except for this i had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. the room is warm during the day, i didn't have to the heater. i like the floor. the bathroom was very clean. the bed is big for one person. they have free breakfast where you can have rice, a variety of dishes and also bread (no need to show meal vouchers/coupons, they have complementary coffee from 4-10 pm. it's near the kushiro station/bus terminal. a few meters ahead, there are supermarkets and drug stores and 100 yen shop. the staff were nice."

"The hotel side is adequate but simple. The restaurant part should be avoided, food basic cheap and the worse of our two weeks in Hokkaido. Staff was unfriendly to say the least. There is a beer box at the entrance of the restaurant, but that is "outside" . We thought we should take the beer before entering the restaurant, and that got the staff just about scream at us, because beer is sold inside! Breakfast is from 7 to 9 and while we were finishing our breakfast started at 8.30 waitress showed up saying we should be out by 9 as they closed! Very close to Akan crane center but the worse accomodation of hokkaido, to be avoided if you can. All other places we stayed people were most friendly!"

"I used it this time for a motorcycle tour. You have to reserve motorcycle parking, which costs 300 yen per day, but it's underground so you don't have to worry about rain. There was no air conditioning, but having the windows open was enough. I'd like to use it again for another tour."
