Angeline CLNSan Mao and Xiao Yan, a friendly and helpful husband and wife team, owners of the hotel, served as our tour guides. San Mao expertly led us to the most captivating sights, while Xiao Yan provided valuable insights and answered our queries. Their culinary skills shone through as we savored our meals at their restaurant. They also offered wild honey, a delightful treat that her father had discovered in a tree. The hotel’s prime location near the town entrance, ticketing counters, and tour coach embankment made it an ideal choice. The rooms were clean, bright, and spacious, providing a comfortable stay.

I traveled with my family during the Chinese New Year, and it was our first time in Yan'an, so we chose this hotel. The value for money was excellent, and the price before the Spring Festival was very reasonable. The room was super spacious, with large, bright floor-to-ceiling windows, and it was clean and tidy. The breakfast was fantastic and delivered right to our room. The location is great, very close to Baota Mountain and also near the Erdaojie morning market!

I had a booking and was already checked in. Around midnight, I received a call asking if I was staying at the hotel, which woke me up. Then, past 1 AM, they arranged for new guests to check in right next to my room. This scared my child and me in the middle of the night! The front desk couldn't even explain the situation clearly when I called them. I couldn't get any sleep the entire night!!

Guest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location, not too far from Zaoyuan, Wangjiaping, and Baotashan. Just a few steps downstairs are the former site of Wangjiaping and the east gate of the Yan'an Revolution Memorial Hall. The hotel is relatively new, clean, and hygienic, with very comfortable bedding and pillows, and a pleasant smart toilet. The service is exceptionally thoughtful. We arrived before check-in time, and the staff asked the cleaning auntie to prepare our room quickly so we could check in right away. They also offer shuttle services. The jujubes at the front desk were extra sweet, and we even received thoughtful little gifts – truly commendable! It was very quiet outside our window at night, though there was a bit of noise from the hallway inside the hotel.
Regarding the Yan'an High-Speed Rail Station shuttle service: When we arrived, they couldn't arrange a car, so they reimbursed our taxi fare. When we were leaving, I wanted to have a meal across from the station and didn't head straight to the waiting room. The driver, a kind young woman, anxiously honked her horn and then called to check on us. Her concern was very heartwarming.

This is my second time here. The room is clean, tidy, and well-arranged. It's equipped with a smart assistant, and they even have a robot for room service. The hotel pays attention to requests and called me beforehand to ask if I needed airport pickup. The front desk staff are gentle and thoughtful. Although the hotel's location is a bit out of the way, Yan'an is a small city. As long as you're not going to the New Area, a 10-minute taxi ride will get you anywhere. Getting to Erdao Street also only takes about ten minutes.

WumingxiaozuiWe booked the Hanting Hotel for our trip to Hukou Waterfall with our child. The room was clean and bright, the bedding was so comfortable that our child fell asleep immediately, and the heating was so strong it felt like the warm sunshine of northern Shaanxi had been brought into the room. Surprisingly, the hotel had a screen mirroring feature, which was very nice! There's a local food street downstairs, and the hotel breakfast was quite good, with noodles and steamed buns, which our child enjoyed very much. The lobby was spacious and airy, making it a comfortable place for our family to wait for our bus and relax. Our comfortable stay made the view of Hukou Waterfall even more spectacular! Especially considering its proximity to Hukou, it's the perfect hotel for a trip to Hukou.

Guest UserThe hotel is huge, and its facilities are excellent; it's probably one of the best in the area in terms of hardware. The cave room is very unique, but the lighting is so dim it really feels like a cave.
If the hardware is five-star, then the service is three-star. The service was absolutely terrible, and the hotel's management level was a disaster. We stayed for two days and encountered so many problems that we decisively checked out and moved to another hotel, even though we had originally planned to extend our stay.
1. Because we were watching the 'Return to Yan'an' performance at 7 PM, the front desk, based on the time, booked an 'Embittered Memories' dinner for 5 PM the day before. Later, I called the front desk again to change it to 5:30 PM. When we arrived at the restaurant punctually, the restaurant's front desk couldn't even find our reservation, and the restaurant was completely unprepared. The restaurant staff quickly informed the hotel front desk that due to lack of preparation, all internal hotel guests with reservations were pushed back until after 8 PM.
2. There was a lack of communication or timely information exchange between the restaurant, front desk, and concierge. Given such a major blunder with the dining reservation, I immediately went to the front desk to inquire about the performance reservation I had made the day before for today. From what I overheard from the staff's phone conversation, it seemed they still hadn't made the reservation and were urgently trying to sort it out.
3. The restaurant manager said that because they weren't prepared, they would arrange for the food to be delivered to our room after 8:30 PM. After we returned from the performance, it still hadn't arrived. When I called to inquire, I was told that the reservation hadn't been made again. They then rushed to make it, and it was delivered to our room after 9 PM.
4. Breakfast was an even bigger disaster. The restaurant was quite small, with no usher, and no designated queuing area. The front desk just let people in without any guidance. Everyone had to wait behind guests who hadn't finished eating yet to grab a seat. In the end, we (a family of three) had no choice but to split up and find separate spots to share tables.
5. Not to mention the insufficient supply of coffee, milk, and beverages, the plates were also cleared very slowly. Everyone was doing half a task and then moving on to another. Despite a decent number of staff and not too many tables, it was still chaotic, which again proved the extremely poor training and management.
6. While eating, we saw more and more guests coming down. The front desk informed them there were no seats and to come back in half an hour. A large group of guests left unhappily. However, later guests were seated right away when seats became available. I can only imagine the anger of the large group of guests who waited half an hour only to have to continue waiting.
7. When checking in, we registered our child's information, but the front desk didn't even think to prepare children's toiletries and slippers. When I called the front desk from the room, the robot answered and recorded the request for children's supplies and an extra duvet. Half an hour later, there was still no movement. It was only when I switched to a human operator to complain that they urgently delivered them.

We arrived in the evening. It's not far from Baota Mountain, in the Baota District. Parking is a bit difficult; there are very limited spaces. However, the overall environment is quite nice. The room cleanliness was just average. The bed was large and comfortable. It's a good choice for traveling with children and family! The service was very good, but the breakfast was a bit too simple.

This is an old hotel; the lobby looks nice, but that's about it. What we needed were comfortable guest rooms. Overall, the room facilities were outdated. The first room was dimly lit upon entering, as it relied on auxiliary lighting; only one of the spotlights was working. The door lock was broken. We called the front desk, and they said there were no rooms available but we could change rooms. After we asked to go upstairs to check, they said we could change rooms. The second room was better lit but still dimly lit. Our child said it felt very oppressive and uncomfortable. We thought we'd just make do. My husband wanted to boil water to sterilize the kettle, but found that the kettle plug had only two prongs instead of three, and the socket was broken. We moved it to another location, but it was still broken. For safety reasons, we had to put up with it. We finally got hot water for our child in the lobby the next day after checking out. The experience was terrible!

Guest UserThe hotel front desk staff has a good attitude. The hotel is located in the center of the county. Parking is convenient and check-in is quick. The room is large, with free mineral water and breakfast. The facilities are complete and the price is relatively affordable. At the same time, there are preferential policies for current and retired military personnel.
