Lavande Hotel Yan‘an Railway Station

I got a quiet non-smoking room; very comfortable bed, service is great, and good breakfast line. It is near the train station within easy walking distance even with 4- wheel luggage, and not far from QingLiangShan, a real gem of Yan'an.

I picked this hotel as a jump-off point to visit Guanquan Canyon and Jingbian Wave Valley. It's located in Baota district of Yan'an. The location is great as it's only five minutes walk from the Yan'an High Speed Railway Station. Even if you have big luggage like mine, it's still manageable walk to the hotel. The hotel reception was wonderful. One of the girls, unfortunately I didn't take her name, was extremely helpful and tried hard to retrieve the packages I ordered to the hotel from several storage locations for me. It shows that she was dedicated to her job to assist guests without complaints. Breakfast is available and included in my reservation. It's standard Chinese breakfast. They even provided warm orange juice which I surprisingly like. The hotel has a self-service laundry room with free detergent. This is a great plus for me. The only complain I may have is, although this is not a unique situation in China, the stinkiness of cigarette smoking in the room and corridor. Thankfully it's March when I visited as I had to close window as cigarette smell came through the window. This is very unfortunate indeed.

Fantastic stay, it highly recommended and spacious. You could go to Baotashan and all best food nearby. Its so convenient .

It is near the Yanan Railway Station. Many small eateries nearby and there is a mini store just next door which sells a good variety of goods. The front desk staff is very helpful and pleasant. The tour agent Ms Xiao Ma provides good tour recommendations and is professional. Highly recommend this hotel.
