"Excellent location. Wonderful beach area. The hotel has a customer-oriented and knowledgeable Russian-speaking manager, Tomiris. I recommend it for young people who are not picky about food and who love peace and quiet. There is no area for walking, nor is there any entertainment or music. Steep steps make it problematic for older people and families with children. Almost all the guests are Turks, who compete not in food at dinner, but in the number of packs of tobacco of dubious quality they smoked. The staff speaks almost no English. There are no professional waiters. Therefore, your ordered plate can travel around the room looking for the customer. At breakfast, you may not get a waiter. So take matters into your own hands. The main thing: a great sea view and a restaurant two minutes from any room. The wine selection impressed even a sophisticated wine connoisseur. It's a shame it didn't last long. Overall, the hotel was pleasant for its location, the sea, and the small number of guests."

Most importantly, the room facilities were a pleasant surprise. It was exactly as pictured, very clean and tidy. The mattress was the perfect firmness, making for a comfortable sleep. The toiletries were of good quality, and the hot water flow was quick and consistent. Small details such as the [complimentary minibar, smart toilet, and large floor-to-ceiling windows] greatly enhanced the quality of our stay."

"Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend We arrived in Bodrum full of excitement, but our experience at this hotel turned out to be deeply disappointing. Arrival Experience From the moment we stepped in, the reception was not welcoming. No greeting and no useful information. No explaining the hotel. Room Conditions The room was a letdown. The door was difficult to open, (almost broking our nails) and the space felt cramped. The bathroom was not clean—bathrobes were stained, and the sheets were scratchy. The overall hygiene and comfort were well below expectations. Communication with Staff It was difficult to communicate with the staff, as very few spoke English. Asking for even simple things became a challenge. Breakfast The breakfast was minimal and disappointing for the price. There was no buffet or variety—just one small, basic meal. Definitely not what you’d expect from a hotel in this price range. Beach Access We were shocked to find that the nicest part of the beach was reserved for the owner’s family and friends. Regular guests were made to feel like unwelcome in those areas. Overwhelming Chlorine Smell Our room had such an overpowering chlorine smell that it was completely uninhabitable. We couldn’t sleep or even stay inside, as the odor was so intense it could be smelled from outside the room. With no real solution offered, we ended up spending hours outside at night in our pajamas! Staff attempted to mask the smell with room spray, which only helped briefly. Eventually, we were forced to sleep in the room and woke up surrounded by the same strong chemical smell. The next day, they moved us to a different room, but offered no apology, no compensation, and simply claimed it wasn’t their fault. The entire situation left us feeling completely helpless and ignored. It was unacceptable. Housekeeping Issues After cleaning, our room door was left wide open. When we raised the issue, the staff dismissed it, saying the cleaners “would close it.” They didn’t. Handling of Complaints We brought up all of these concerns with the staff, but nothing changed. We were brushed off repeatedly and felt like our feedback didn’t matter. Staff Behavior In general, the staff lacked professionalism. They were unfriendly, and in the restaurant, we experienced inappropriate and uncomfortable comments. Cat calling us. This created an unpleasant atmosphere throughout our stay. Unsafe Transportation When we requested a taxi, we were told none were available after waiting 1 hour. Instead, they arranged a “private driver,” who appeared to be a friend of the hotel. She was texting while driving, making us feel unsafe during the ride and putting us in serious risk. Final Thoughts This hotel did not deliver on even basic hospitality standards. We paid a premium expecting a relaxing, quality vacation, but instead we received poor service, discomfort, and disrespect. "Honestly .. i couldn’t have asked for a better hotel - they really outdone themselves with a cherry on top .. we have just checked out and on the way to the airport to fly back home to Kuwait. We had a few hours to spare in the old town and when we came back to the hotel we has two hours to wait before going to the airport and feeling a bit worried and scared due to the current political middle eastern situation the staff at the reception were SOO amazing (the gentleman and blonde lady - apologies i didn’t get their names to thank them here) have given us a room to pray and wash up .. honestly? I have not encountered this warmth except for the staff at Mivara - So, THANK YOU ever so much - God bless you. We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids), we had booked a premium connected room with two balconies, huge rooms, fitting room and good sized bathrooms. We enjoyed how the resort is kids friendly, safe and lovely. Everyday we were at the pool, kids enjoyed both the beach, beach activities (donut and jet ski rides) and the pool. The best part about it, you are not overwhelmed by the amount of people since they have around 70+ rooms (considered a boutique hotel). The old port is almost 30 minutes away and Yalikavik about 20 mins away by car. Thank you to the staff for welcoming me and my family. We hope to see you back again."
