I don't understand why this hotel has so many good reviews, but I want to write honestly, as someone who has worked in tourism for 20 years and seen a lot. The hotel definitely doesn't live up to its category. The biggest downsides are: there's no sea, the tide is very low every day, so you definitely can't swim here, and the knee-deep water that comes in in the afternoon smells like fish, and even while you're sitting at breakfast, there's a very unpleasant fish smell. But if you want, there's a shuttle that takes you to a good beach several times a day. The pool is dirty with green water; I was snorkeling, and there were tons of hair and sand at the bottom. The water doesn't circulate. In the morning, they pour two buckets of chlorine to disinfect the pool, and then it turns blue for a short while. The hotel rooms are large and comfortable, but tired. The tiles and plumbing need replacing. There were a lot of ants and cockroaches in the room. When we reported them, a worker came to exterminate them and treat them with ant repellent. On the plus side, the room has a large TV with YouTube access, a refrigerator, a tea station, a comfortable bed, and daily cleaning and towel changes. Peacocks roam the grounds (but that's not the main reason to come here). Breakfast is modest; there's a coffee machine with real coffee, pancakes, omelets like everywhere else, sausages and ham, and fruit. There were no yogurts or cheeses, and the juices were watered down. A lot of the equipment in the gym is broken. It depends on your preference, but for me, the sea and pool are key features in a place like this, so I wouldn't go back. There are plenty of cheaper and better options on the coast.

I was referred to this resort by a couple who I met in Chonburi, I decided to make a reservation and drive to Trat to catch the car ferry.
The google directions weren't correct as it tries to take you to the small bridge which is only passable via motorbikes etc. Driving a further 2klms where you follow the signs you arrive at the back of the resort.
The Bungalow was great, basic room with a separate toilet/shower room. The room has air conditioning, wall fan and mosquito net. Sliding doors to a small balcony overlooking the gardens to the beach. A foot tap to wash your feet is available at the steps to each bungalow. There are no fridge's in the Bungalow but there is a common fridge that you can use at the reception hut which is available 24/7 just mark your items with the room number. The gardens are immaculate and well looked after, plenty of deck chairs, lounges to enjoy under the shady trees. Two 600ml bottles of water are provided daily and left on the balcony of each bungalow daily.
Its a 40m walk to the water, similar to the adjoining restaurant Siam Kitchen. I found The Beach Cafe about 100m up the beach front to have a higher quality of food and portion size another restaurant that I would recommend is Indie Beach Cafe.
Jebbi the manager of the resort is always onhand and available to assist.
Great low key resort, chilled and recommended.

Guest UserNice room and decent hotel. Breakfast looks better than it tastes. The warm daily dishes are disappointing and there is absence of good Thai food. The bread, deli meat, cheeses, bread and salad choices are fine. Eggs and waffles are made to order and they are fine. Restaurant is not air conditioned and has small fans which add very little ventilation. Had issues twice with air conditioning and tub. Maid kept room very clean and made towels into pretty shapes along with flowers on bed.
Made mistake of coming in May and it was miserably hot and most chairs are not shielded from the sun. The beach although beautiful is very narrow and filled with large rocks and coral so not good for walking or swimming. Had to walk down beach to find a better beach area but it lacked shade.
If you can get the room without the 300 baht each normal charge I would suggest it. We had one day nearby in a cheaper hotel because we arrived late. Problem we had in May is there very few breakfast choices near either hotel. Very few street food vendors and mainly overpriced western food. Took several days to find good Thai food. I would recommend Koh Kood if you are alone. Better beaches and cheaper foods

Guest UserWe stayed at Stage Hotel for 15 days, and it was truly wonderful.
A very cozy, clean, and comfortable hotel that makes you feel at home from the very first days.
The rooms are spotless, the beds are very comfortable, and the snow-white bed linen is a real pleasure to sleep in.
The air conditioning works perfectly — the temperature in the room was always comfortable.
Special thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff. Everyone was kind, attentive, and made us feel genuinely cared for.
Honestly, I was almost in tears when it was time to leave.
This is a place you want to come back to again and again.
Stage Hotel is not just a hotel — it’s a feeling of comfort, calm, and warmth away from home.
We will definitely return ❤️

The room was small and the facilities were old, including the comforter, which wasn't good. The hotel's ambiance, a Southeast Asian rainforest theme, was actually quite nice, but the room itself wasn't comfortable. I booked a two-night stay but realized I misremembered my flight date and could only stay one night. I tried to talk to the hotel about a refund for the second night, but they refused, and they also wouldn't refund the extra charge for my child. The service was absolutely terrible.

Overall, the hotel is decent. The location is excellent and the facilities are ok. However, my experience was incredibly frustrating due to the total lack of control in the beach area.
The Issue: The ”Towel Mafia”
It seems there are people who live at the hotel permanently and take over the beach chairs very early in the morning. By 8:00 AM, all the chairs are empty but ”reserved” with towels.
When my girlfriend and I decided to use two chairs that had been unoccupied for over an hour, a man approached us in a very aggressive manner, claiming the chairs belonged to them simply because he had placed a towel there first.
Lack of Staff Support
The most disappointing part was the hotel's response:
• At Reception: They confirmed that chairs cannot be reserved and that we were free to use them.
• In Practice: This group of residents continued to disturb and harass us day after day.
• Management: Despite being aware of the situation, the hotel staff did absolutely nothing to mediate, enforce the rules, or explain the seating policy to these individuals.
It is a shame that a place with such potential allows certain guests to intimidate others, ruining the peace of a vacation. If you are looking for a hotel where rules are respected and everyone is treated fairly, I would look elsewhere.

Guest UserThe hotel is excellent, individual villas stand as if there is no one nearby and no one is passing by. The area is green, squirrel lizards run around, bats fly in the evening) the beach is beautiful, you sit in the shade of palm trees)) pebbles at the entrance to the sea, but if you move to the right, towards the coconut alley, there is a clean sandy bottom. Breakfast is good, large selection and tasty. Of the minuses; far from everything, no way without a bike or car, unless you eat at the hotel or on the shore there are restaurants not far to the left of the beach.

A small, cozy hotel. Rooms are cleaned upon request (ours weren't cleaned even once in three days), and water and toilet paper were left at the door. Two supermarkets are nearby! You can rent a motorbike for 200 baht. The sea is 300 meters away, with a sandy beach. Every day, elephants are taken for a swim in the Gulf of Thailand. For 500 baht, you can arrange a private photo shoot and swim with an elephant. In the evening, it's pleasant to stroll towards the sea and have a drink (shakes, coffee, etc.) at the pier or cafe.

Lily PhuuFirst of all, I would sincerely would like to say Thank You So Much for your service and we enjoyed our stay at your hotel. Everything about hotel is extremely good and we couldn't find the best suitable words to describe it. Location, cleanliness, foods, friendly helpful staffs and quiet environment everything is great. The most satisfying service is the helpfulness of the staffs in transportation processes and they can handle every request. We would like to give 9stars and it should be 10 if the price of breakfast buffet were a little less compared to the variety of foods displayed.
