KC Grande Resort Koh Chang

Overall, my stay was very satisfying. The location is convenient, with a 7-Eleven right outside for easy shopping. The resort is divided into two main areas, both sides of the road belong to the resort. There are three swimming pools: a beachfront pool, a rooftop pool, and rooms with direct pool access, offering plenty of choices. Swim towels are provided in the rooms. The restaurant is right by the sea, so you can enjoy the ocean view while you eat, which is super relaxing. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and even spoke some Chinese.

The restaurant was delicious, highly recommended! The room was very clean and fresh, and the front desk staff had a great attitude. There was a small hiccup during checkout, but the front desk manager resolved it perfectly. Thumbs up to the staff! The scenery and beach are beautiful, and I'll definitely come back. Plus, there's a 7-Eleven right next door, making it super convenient.

I stayed at Tingso in Koh Phao Beach for the first few days, then moved to White Sand Beach for island hopping and my return journey. Overall, I'd say its main advantage is the large beach and the lively atmosphere. The room I booked opened right onto the beach, which was super convenient. If you're looking for easy access to transport, shops right outside, and direct beach access, then this place is recommended. However, the service was just average.

Coming from a stay at Dinso, I have to say KC really doesn't measure up. The overall footprint is similar, but the bathroom is incredibly cramped and uncomfortable. The bathtub on the balcony feels awkward and exposed. Breakfast was decent, roughly on par with Dinso, but a few details were lacking. So, aside from the beach, KC really falls short compared to Dinso. KC has a common layout for hotels on Koh Chang, with one section by the beach and another across the road up on the hill. They claim to have four pools, but in reality, besides the main pool, there's only one other usable pool on the hill. The hotel property is large enough, but there's not much to explore or enjoy.

This place is absolutely incredible! First off, I requested a room with a great sunset view when booking, and they totally delivered. I could see the stunning white sand beach sunset right from my bed – it was beyond amazing. Second, I was exhausted upon check-in and somehow lost my bag. I asked the front desk first thing the next morning, and they had it for us! So relieved to get my thousands of baht back. Third, the room balcony is just epic; you have to experience it for yourself. Fourth, the beach sun loungers are practically beds; I even fell asleep and snored on one! Fifth, the restaurant truly caters to a variety of international tastes, and the flavors are incredibly authentic. They even make people from other countries enjoy food from different cuisines, so breakfast was also fantastic. Sixth, the service was excellent from the moment we arrived until we left – something you really have to experience. Seventh, the convenience is unbeatable. You step out and there are taxis waiting, just a few more steps is a 7-Eleven, right next door is my beloved roti stand, and across the street are my favorite smoothies and a massage parlor. In summary: I will definitely come back to Koh Chang and absolutely book KC Grand again. It's expensive for a good reason; the price is justified by the incredible emotional value it provides, and both the soft and hard services are perfect.
