Demiray Hotel Old City

Wonderful location. It's tough with luggage going up and down the stairs, so a transfer is definitely needed. The view from the restaurant terrace is stunning, especially in the evening. We booked this hotel specifically for that view. The pool is small, and a swim cap is mandatory; you'll have to buy one if you don't have one. I wasn't a fan of the massage; it was given by a man, and the price was steep. The sauna and hammam were a nice bonus. The pillows and bed were very comfortable – perfect for relaxing after a day of walking around. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend!

A wonderful, new hotel with a convenient location. The street is quite quiet, the Bosphorus is nearby, and so is the Galata Tower. There are many cafes and cozy restaurants around, plus a pharmacy and a fruit shop within walking distance. The staff are simply amazing – check-in was fast, they were friendly, and room cleaning was top-notch. The rooms are bright with good soundproofing. They had everything except bathrobes: a garment steamer, kettle, cups (though no teaspoons), a fridge, safe, slippers, and so on. The toiletries were of good quality and had a pleasant scent. Highly recommend!

The hotel's location is a bit far from the Old Town, and the room was on the small side. However, it was very clean and provided disposable slippers. They offer free parking and the breakfast is purely Western, with limited variety but enough to fill you up. The price isn't particularly cheap.

The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul

The rooms were, as always, very comfortable, and the bathroom system was excellent. The hotel view was also beautiful, especially from the breakfast restaurant, in the innermost corner, where you can see the strait – truly a delightful breakfast experience. If I had to pick a downside, it would be the surprisingly strict security check to enter The Ritz-Carlton in Istanbul, where both people and bags have to be scanned! I later found out that many diplomats stay here… so… you get it. The hotel provided various chocolates, as shown in the picture. The toiletries cost 45 Euros per bottle if you take them home, but you can use them freely inside the hotel. There were many old maps of Istanbul in the hallway, and my child spent a long time studying them with great interest.

The location is fantastic, within walking distance of all the must-see attractions. The room wasn't huge, but it was clear the management is very professional; every detail seemed to follow a specific process. The breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of variety, and the window view was lovely. If I had to mention any downsides, it would be that the reservation couldn't be changed after booking, and rooms near the restaurant can be a bit noisy in the mornings.

The location is excellent. It's practically on Sultanahmet Square. The Çemberlitas tram stop is nearby. Our room was on the second floor. We had a window with a sea view, but Leonov is located between two buildings, so you can't really see it. The room and the hotel were a bit dirty. When we checked in, they'd wiped every surface and there was dust almost everywhere. There was black mold in the corners of the shower in the bathroom; I don't know why they haven't cleaned it. Tomorrow was fantastic. A huge variety of cheeses, vegetables, including baked ones, and greens. Olives, fruit included watermelon, oranges, apples, and grapefruit, dried figs, and dried apricots with raisins. Breakfast was served at a nearby restaurant in a traditional style. It lasted us until dinner. The hotel's terrace restaurant overlooks the Bosphorus, and you can go up there. But we didn't bring our own plates. We had lunch there the day before our departure for an additional fee. The staff was friendly and unobtrusive. They speak English. Coffee from a coffee machine.

This hotel was truly in a fantastic location. My wife and I had a quick holiday getaway, and the staff's attitude was wonderful. It's within walking distance to the ferry terminal and the high-speed train station. I would genuinely recommend it to everyone I know, and it's definitely my top choice for all my future Istanbul trips.

This is a good chain hotel, and the price perfectly matches the quality of services provided. My room was quiet, and I slept wonderfully! The linens were clean, new, and white, the mattress and pillows were comfortable, the towels were also good, and the hot water was genuinely hot. As for toiletries, there was only shower gel, shampoo, and toilet paper. The air conditioning worked perfectly; I set it to heat since it was cold in February 2026, and the room warmed up in about 10 minutes. There was also tea, coffee, and two bottles of water. I recommend this hotel; it's ideal for layovers between flights.

Excellent, honestly, and clean. Mr. Abdullah was very helpful with the service and carried our luggage. It was a wonderful experience, and I've stayed here multiple times. It's also close to everything! 👍

The room was nice, but there's a mosque nearby, so it got a bit noisy in the mornings. The breakfast was really bad, but the hygiene and environment were decent. The main issue was that many of the staff didn't speak English, which made communication difficult.
