* Upon arrival, the air conditioning unit in our villa was not properly maintained. The filter was extremely dirty and clogged, causing excessive noise and poor performance. We had to clean it ourselves in order to use it. * There is little to no mobile signal in the area, and the WiFi connection has been unreliable due to ongoing maintenance, making it very difficult to stay connected. * There has been significant noise disturbance from construction work directly behind our villa, including the use of loud power tools throughout most of the day over several days. * We were only informed about a wedding taking place upon check-in. As a result, we were unable to use the sunbeds located outside our villa and had to relocate further away. Also due to the wedding taking place, the hotel had to make many soundchecks during the day before, playing very loud music which made it hard to relax on the beach. The wedding guests (80+ people) were allowed to use the villa next to us, as their designated toilet, which caused a lot of back and forth from the weddings guests right by our villa. This made it difficult to relax. * Additionally, we find that the restaurant prices are quite high compared to the quality of the food. For example, breakfast at 800 PHP did not meet basic expectations, as even simple items such as cheese and ham for bread were missing. I’m also sorry to say that the chicken adobo is tasteless, and on the menu it says the menu has been created by a Michelin chef. My mango daquiri tasted only of alcohol, so I had to ask for one with less alcohol. As a certified bartender, that is unacceptable. Even the French fries were not done properly as they needed more time in the oven (I think that’s what they used to make them at least, I would prefer if they were fried in oil though). However, very good mango shakes. * We would also like to mention that the access roads leading to the property are in very poor condition. The roads consist mainly of uneven gravel and are full of deep potholes, which make driving quite difficult and uncomfortable. In some areas, it is only possible to drive at around 10 km/h due to the condition of the road. We believe that the roads would greatly benefit from proper maintenance or being paved with cement, as this would significantly improve accessibility and the overall guest experience. We understand that some of these issues may be temporary or unforeseen, but taken together they have had a significant impact on our stay. However I would really like to highlight Hazel from the reception at the Nacpan Beach Villas. She was really sweet and thorough when we had any questions and went the extra mile for us. She deserves a raise. Please let her know we were really happy with her and really appreciated her.

My stay at El Nido Resorts Lagen Island was nothing short of extraordinary. The staff's warmth and genuine hospitality were exceptional; they always wore smiles and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. From assisting with ferry bookings to surprising me on my birthday with a beautifully decorated bed and a delightful cake, their thoughtfulness was truly heartwarming. Special thanks to Carell, Jojo, Harnie, John, and Arvin for their outstanding support. The resort's happy vibe upon arrival sets the tone, and you leave with a smile, longing for more. The complimentary tours, seamlessly integrated into the package, were made exceptional by the supportive guides, creating a private and well-timed experience. Opting for the overwater bungalow was a unique and enchanting experience, adding to the paradise that is El Nido Lagen Island. The buffet-style meals offered three times a day were a culinary delight. I wholeheartedly recommend El Nido Resorts Lagen Island for an unforgettable and highly recommended getaway. This place is truly a little corner of paradise. It’s almost impossible to put into words how much we enjoyed our stay and how special this place is. The owners — an Englishman and a Filipina — are the perfect mix of warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail. They genuinely go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and are happy to accommodate almost any request, always in such a natural and unobtrusive way. The rooms are comfortable, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The air conditioning is quiet, the mattresses and pillows are incredibly comfortable, and everything you might need is provided — right down to shower gel and a toothbrush. The hotel is still relatively new and everything is in excellent condition. There are free SUP boards for guests, and you can also rent a scooter from the hotel if you feel like exploring El Nido for the day. And then there’s the food… that deserves a review of its own! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were fantastic. You can order fresh seafood, or even buy it yourself and have the team prepare it for you. My husband loves grilling, so we arranged to get some meat and had our own little BBQ evening. One of the staff members was genuinely excited to help and learn how it’s done — such a small moment, but incredibly warm and touching. My husband also wanted to go fishing, and the local fishermen were happy to take him along. Unfortunately, we simply didn’t have enough time during our stay, but knowing that such experiences were so easily arranged made the place feel even more special. That’s the beauty of a small boutique hotel like this. Unlike huge resorts, they can actually respond to the individual wishes of their guests and make you feel personally cared for. At the same time, there is absolutely no pressure to socialize. Everything is beautifully balanced: if you want to chat, there’s always someone happy to talk to; if you want privacy, you’ll have complete peace and seclusion. It truly feels like your own little paradise. If we ever return to El Nido, we will absolutely stay here again. Thank you to the wonderful owners and the whole team for such a memorable stay. Awesome hotel. We had the family room which had 2 double beds and 2 singles. For our family of 5 great. Kids loved the buffet breakfast. Plenty of tuk tuks out front if you want to go into town (5 mins) or airport (20 mins). There is 3 pools. We spent time at a different one each day. We had had a pretty full on trip beforehand so this was the perfect hotel to relax for a bit. Restaurant was good for dinner too. Lots of food options in town too. Good location to get to the port too for any day trips. Highly recommend.

Totally in love with this hostel, breakfast is buffet style and they change some of menu daily :) The share bathroom is clean and maintained properly, u may use ur own lock to lock your locker securely. Each bed are covered with curtains :) Highly recommended.

We stayed for a night at this hidden villa, and it felt like a true home away from home. The staff were incredibly kind and respectful, providing excellent service that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food was a highlight—absolutely delicious, with a healthy breakfast offered in the morning. You can even request a floating breakfast, which added a special touch to the experience. While the villa is tucked away down a short gravel road, the peaceful and private setting made it worth the effort. The villa is kid-friendly, but families should be cautious around the tiled swimming pool area. There’s no TV, so if you’re traveling with children, make sure their devices are charged. Fortunately, the Wi-Fi is strong and reliable. Overall, it was a lovely, relaxing stay with amazing food and warm hospitality. We highly recommend this villa for a cozy and memorable getaway.

We had a great experience during our 4-day stay in Coron Soleil Express Hotel. All the staff were courteous, respectful and accommodating. The room was clean and the aircon functions well. The swimming pool is clean and did not feel too much chlorine in the water. As an overall rating, it was excellent. Will come back again in the hotel with families and friends.

We traveled as a family of four and booked two rooms—one twin-sharing and one queen double. Both rooms were in good condition, clean, and comfortable. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Daily housekeeping is available upon request, which was convenient. Before our trip, I was a bit hesitant after reading some negative reviews mentioning repetitive breakfast options and the absence of hairdryers. However, it seems the hotel has addressed these concerns. Each room now comes with a brand-new hairdryer (ours was still in the box), and we were pleasantly surprised that the breakfast offerings were varied and different each day. The hotel’s location in Coron town is another big plus, making it easy to walk to nearby restaurants. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again if we return to Coron.

Perfect hotel! We booked individual overwater villas, which was an interesting experience! The rooms were clean, and there was a good variety on the breakfast menu. There are two pools, one with fresh water and one with saltwater! There's also a separate pavilion for watching the sunset or just relaxing and admiring the beautiful surroundings, set a little distance from the shore! The staff are friendly, young guys always ready to help! They greeted us with welcome drinks and helped with our luggage! (This hotel should definitely be more expensive!)

Nice hotel with good rooms. Unfortunately, the hotel seems to have a very relaxed policy for its guests. In the restaurant, a man can walk in and eat with a sweaty upper body, and the staff won't say anything. If there's a party with young people at the pool, with shouting and a lot of drinking, the staff also don't intervene. It's a real shame for the class such a hotel normally projects.
