어쩌라구10It is close to Seogwipo Olle Market and the intercity bus terminal.
A guesthouse renovated from the old Midojang.
A good place to stay for a day or two.
I visited Mido Hostel again for the first time in almost 10 years.
I accidentally stayed for 5 consecutive nights, forgetting my age, and in a dormitory at that.
There was nothing uncomfortable about sleeping, but I was embarrassed by the shared restrooms and bathrooms.
It was exactly the same as before.
The shared kitchen has been replaced by a container on the rooftop, and the reception area where the kitchen used to be has been changed into a bar or cafe.
I felt like I would be a nuisance, so I didn't even think about going to the cafe except to ask for a towel. In the evening, a small party, like a dinner gathering, was held among the guests.
I think it would be a good experience for young people.

Guest UserMy 7 friends and I were hiking the Olle Trail. This hostel is in Seogwipo, right next to the starting point of Olle Trail Route 7 and the certificate collection point. We booked for five nights, but ended up canceling the last three nights after the first night. The reasons were excessive noise and extremely rude front desk staff.
Their BBQ night went on until 2 AM. The manager had explicitly told us during check-in that it would end by 11 PM. When I asked the front desk girl if they could lower the volume because it was too loud to sleep, she replied in very broken English: ”This is a hostel, not a hotel. It's a cheap place. You should respect the guests who paid for the BBQ night” (30,000 KRW per person).
Seriously? We booked double and twin rooms, not dormitory beds. And at 300-350 RMB per night, this place offers no competitive advantage in the area. The Seogwipo Grand Hotel next door also charges 350 RMB for a twin room, and the Zinc Hotel across the street is 250 RMB. For the following nights, it rained, so there was no BBQ. Plus, we were tired from hiking and didn't want the hassle of moving hotels, so we continued our booking. That means we booked four rooms for five consecutive nights. I'll definitely visit Jeju Island many more times and complete the entire Olle Trail, but I will never stay at this hostel again.
P.S.: The middle-aged female manager and the young man named Sam who checked us in were both very kind and helpful.

Guest UserAbsolutely loved this hotel! 1. The staff were all incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help, even with a slight language barrier. 2. The hotel facilities are excellent, especially the large and safe swimming pool. 3. It's within walking distance to Pyo Seon Beach, which was clean and not too crowded. I'll definitely be back and will recommend it to all my friends!

The front desk staff, restaurant crew, cleaning team, and everyone else were all incredibly friendly! The hotel has an old-money vibe, with sculptures and marble floors/walls that are exceptionally well-maintained. The greenery is abundant, and there's a path leading down to a hiking trail and the beach. The breakfast is incredibly rich and high-quality, and in the evenings, there's a live band by the pool. If I visit Jeju again, I'd definitely choose this hotel. (You can swap your breakfast reservation for the lunch buffet, which is also excellent, but you need to inform the front desk in advance to make the change.)

This was my second stay here, and this time I was assigned a room on the second floor with a very mediocre view. I'd recommend letting the hotel know your preferences before checking in to get a room with a better view, if available. Even though the hotel has been open for a long time, the facilities are very well maintained; the room was clean and tidy, and the carpet was spotless. The staff were all very friendly. When checking in and paying the deposit at the front desk, my UnionPay credit card didn't work, so I paid in cash, 100,000 Korean Won per night. The breakfast was good, but everyone wakes up quite early, so by 8:30 AM, there was already a queue. The pool, though not large, was a lot of fun for the kids, but it did get crowded, making it hard to find an empty spot. There's also a paid relaxation area next to it for 30,000 Korean Won for two hours. The hairdryer is an old model and takes a long time to dry your hair. Across from the hotel, next to Starbucks, there's a convenience store. If you're tired of the 7-Eleven by the entrance, you can check that one out; there's also an Olive Young there. The restaurant next to the hotel has a so-so ambiance. If you're looking for a BBQ place within walking distance, search for 'Pungno' on Dianping. If you're coming to Jeju Island for a relaxing vacation, this place is a good choice. However, if you're here for shopping and visiting various attractions, staying in the city center would be more convenient.

Tianle1219I booked the Executive Suite without breakfast. When I booked, the room rate with breakfast was over 4000 won more expensive than without, so what did I do? The brunch spot next door perfectly solved that problem; while the menu wasn't extensive, everything tasted great and is worth a try. There's also a supermarket nearby, which easily meets basic needs, even selling cigarettes and alcohol.
The suite was incredibly convenient for our family of four, featuring a small living room in the middle and two bedrooms, both with attached bathrooms. When checking in, I told the front desk I hoped to have a sea view, and the lovely lady said she gave me a 'full view' suite. And she was right! From the room, you could see the parking lot (mountain view) and also the sea. Exiting the hotel and turning right, you'll find the 600/601 bus stop. This bus is essential for getting around, and it's no problem to get to the Olle Market. If you turn right at the bus stop and walk down, you can reach the beach, where many people are surfing 🏄🏻♀️.
I think the hotel's service attitude is quite good, with a pure resort vibe. Since I stayed at the Marriott when I came in April, I wasn't particularly amazed by Parnas this time, but it's still a very good hotel. The Marriott is closer to the city and more convenient, but it doesn't have a beach.
Overall, Seogwipo is a great place for a holiday. If possible, it's best to come in spring; summer is too sunny and humid.

Renate KatrineThe hotel is incredibly clean and the service is top notch. The direct view to the beach is absolutely unique and the pool area is super delicious.
The breakfast was excellent with a large selection and it was a huge plus to have free parking right at the door. Highly recommended!

An incredibly satisfying stay! The hotel's overall atmosphere was elegant and comfortable, and the room was very spacious with a sophisticated, vintage-inspired decor. The biggest surprise was that some rooms came with a huge Jacuzzi, and opening the window revealed a magnificent ocean view. The rooftop heated pool offered an exceptional experience; watching the sunset there while enjoying drinks and conversation in the evening was a pure visual delight. The hotel service was incredibly attentive, and there was a wonderful staff member who spoke excellent Mandarin (reportedly a former Chinese teacher), making communication effortless. Furthermore, the hotel's secret garden in the backyard provided direct access to an Olle trail, making for a fantastic morning stroll experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone vacationing in Jeju Island!

Extend Time Fee is incredible high, extend 3hr charge for >💲125,why no just rob the bank. Add 💲75 can sure book another day. It‘s very unreasonable. (Normally a day contains 12-15hr booking time, then 3 hr >50%,havent concen of extending time no breakfast)Actually in many city, extend room< 4hr will surely below the average hr fee since it's not at night. And English should be used more frequently among administration people. Will not book this hotel again. Some of the reception is really not that nice, arrogant.

Hels11Good location, parking close by as well as some parking at the hotel. The rooms were clean (bathroom could do with a bit of renovation), comfortable and spacious. The cleaning is every 3 days but fresh water and towels given everyday. We had a kitchen in our room but no way of utalising it as there were no pots, pans or cutlery.
