"Overall, it was okay. I arrived at 12:30 and they allowed me to check in straight away. It's located between Omicho Market and Higashichaya. While it's close to Omicho Market, it's not exactly in a great location.

The rooms are average. The doors don't auto-lock. They're reasonably spacious. The bathroom is very small. The room quality isn't high, but it's not inconvenient. It's nice that the TV is a smart TV.
There are no particular issues, but there aren't any special services or facilities, and it's not particularly good value for money. There are many good, cheap hotels in Kanazawa, so personally I prefer regular hotels."

I only left this place this morning, but I already want to go back. It felt like a home, the host/owner and his wife are super lovely, greeted me every time I came back or said goodbye to me whenever I left. It felt like I was coming home at the end of the day. You get a tea on arrival and I opted for the bento box breakfast for my first morning. I came down at 10 and it was there waiting for me, they play nice Japanese music while your waiting downstairs, although the hosts weren’t fluent in English we could communicate just fine, there English was good enough, although I did try to speak Japanese, the room was so nice and big, I love a tatami room it’s so cosy, I liked snuggling up in the bed at night and watching my tablet, the bathrooms where nice and I just loved the ryokan feel. If I ever find myself in kanazawa again which I willl, I will most definitely stay here again! If you don’t book here your not doing kanazawa right.

The first time I went to Kanazawa, the hotel was great. It was suitable for family and children. There was a separate washing machine in the bathroom. There was also a drying rack in the muji room. The fragrance spray refrigerator and the freezer were also prepared. There was a supermarket next door downstairs. I bought some delicious ice cream in the refrigerator. It was really square. Just next to the hotel front desk is a small bar. At night, I will listen to the vinyl records. I will drink a whisky. Special reminder. We live on the 9th floor (top floor) and have a balcony. You can see the scenery outside at any time. I just watched the fireworks and sunrise that day. A great experience.

I was a bit worried about the room facilities based on previous reviews, but after checking in, I found everything to be great. The breakfast, however, didn't quite live up to its price point, though it was certainly satisfying.

The room was spacious, but the breakfast was basic. Having stayed in several three- and four-star hotels in Japan, the breakfast at Omo5 was the simplest, with only three set menus to choose from. It wasn't to my taste, especially for a three-day stay. It was truly disappointing.

I made a reservation for my daughter's university entrance examination for 2 nights and 3 days, but I decided to make an additional reservation for one night later and used it for 3 nights and 4 days. Since the room scheduled for 2 nights was not available, I was planning to use another room for 1 nights, but I adjusted it and stayed in the same room for 3 days. My daughter was nervous about staying alone and taking the exam, but she was willing to accept the request for a wake-up call, and on the way home, she wrote ”Please come back to play again.”
I am grateful for the warm hospitality such as accompanying me.

马This is the kind of homestay where many people live together. There is only a separate space for three people, and the rest are public facilities. The hotel’s location is about 10-15 minutes away from the station. In a street full of restaurants, the convenience store is far away, but the izakaya next to it is very characteristic. There are more locals, the owner is very enthusiastic, and a large conch is also presented. . The owner of the hotel is very nice and enthusiastic, and patiently help us guide the way. It may be that we are used to living in an environment with a separate bathroom, but feel that the private space is too small and inconvenient. There is nothing in the room except the quilt. We are not used to it and can only go out and stroll around. If you don’t mind these, language communication is barrier-free, and those willing to interact with locals, you can choose here.

The hotel is industrial and youthful, and the details are quite design-oriented. The front desk spoke good English when checking in, so communication was stress-free. Free drinks and beer are provided, and bicycles are available for rent next to the lobby on the first floor. In fact, if the weather is good, Kanazawa is indeed suitable for cycling around the city.
The room area is also spacious among Japanese rooms. Two 28-inch suitcases can be spread out, and people will not bump into anything when walking inside. It is about 1.5 kilometers away from Kanazawa Station, Kenrokuen Garden, etc., which is acceptable even if you take a taxi~
