Guest UserThe room was clean and had a unique charm. The hostess was lovely and incredibly thoughtful. I've already booked for next year! My trip was a bit rushed this time, so I didn't get to fully appreciate all the creative touches at Zhoushuang Life Inn. I'll save that for next year's visit.

RexinwangyouzhengzaishuruI chose Fengyuantang Courtyard B&B for my trip to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, and I genuinely feel it was the right choice. Here are my honest thoughts.
First, the location: the B&B is nestled in a quiet spot within the bustling ancient town, making access very convenient. It was so relaxing to stroll back to our accommodation after enjoying the night views. It's truly hassle-free.
The B&B itself is the old Fengyuantang residence, a preserved Qing Dynasty building that is also a listed historic building in Kunshan. It's a typical Jiangnan ancient dwelling with black tiles, wooden windows, carved gate towers, and veranda eaves – every detail exudes the charm of old Jiangnan. Although the B&B was converted from a hundred-year-old house, the interior completely lacks the dampness and dated feel often found in old buildings. The living comfort is very high; it retains only the unique rustic tranquility of an ancient building, making for a serene and comfortable stay.
The owners spent over a year meticulously renovating it. The courtyard features several beautiful miniature landscapes, from stone paths and pomegranate trees to lush greenery. There are also swings, stone tables, and benches. On rainy days, raindrops falling from the eaves, combined with the red lanterns, create a particularly atmospheric scene. Every corner is picturesque, perfect for photos, and simply sitting in the courtyard, sipping tea, and unwinding is incredibly peaceful. Both nights of my stay happened to be during the Jiangnan plum rain season, and experiencing the misty Jiangnan atmosphere within the old house was truly unique and evocative.
Both the owner and his wife are incredibly warm and attentive, treating guests kindly and genuinely, without any sense of distance. Breakfast is a simple, authentic Jiangnan home-style meal: white porridge with fried dough sticks, corn, eggs, and refreshing side dishes – light and palatable, just right to fill up before exploring the ancient town.
The entire B&B is immaculately clean. The ancient building has been comfortably renovated while retaining its original charm. The courtyard offers a new picturesque view at every turn, the service is thoughtful, and getting around is convenient. My stay this time was a perfect 10, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Zhouzhuang. I sincerely recommend it to anyone looking for a slow and immersive stay in the ancient town!

Ningjingzhiyuan—ningjingzhiyuanWhat a pleasant surprise this stay was! The common areas are decorated in a chic and tasteful luxury style, with elegant greenery placed by the windows. The self-service water dispenser is clean and easy to use. Outside, the blue sky, white clouds, and lush green trees create a beautiful scene. The whole place is clean and quiet, and one young staff member was particularly enthusiastic and polite – definitely a five-star standard.

After staying two nights, we decided to stay one more night. We came by car and the hotel has its own parking lot which is completely free. The hotel is just outside the Zhaofeng Road Station of Shanghai Metro Line 11. You can take the subway eastward to various attractions in downtown Shanghai and directly to Disneyland. To the west, transfer to Suzhou Metro Line 11 at Huaqiao Station and go directly to various attractions in Suzhou. How convenient! The car can be parked for free at the hotel, which saves the inconvenience of driving and parking in the urban areas of Shanghai and Suzhou, and the parking fees in the urban areas are extremely expensive. Finally, I would like to say that this hotel is very cost-effective. You can stay for two or three nights here instead of one night in a hotel of the same level in Shanghai or Suzhou. In short, it's warm, convenient, clean and cost-effective. Next time I come to Shanghai or Suzhou, I will still stay here.

kathyThe soundproofing isn't great; the constant noise from the kids next door, both at night and in the morning, was really annoying. The room's facilities are quite old and show their age. However, the location is excellent, just a short walk to one of the scenic area's entrances. There are a decent number of parking spaces, though I'm not sure if it would be enough during holidays. Breakfast isn't a buffet; it's pre-set, but it's filling and the taste is acceptable.

I want a home like this hehe😁My baby said it was very comfortable to live in. I chose Youxiong between Indigo and Youxiong, and the experience was very good! You can really always believe in bears!
The booked superior one-bedroom was upgraded to a two-bedroom. It was such a surprise. Check-out was delayed until 14:00. Mini bar snacks were free on the first day. Fruits were provided during the stay. Mineral water was charged +18 yuan for drinking. You can also go to the kiosk at the door. After purchasing, I was given poplar nectar (really delicious), free fishing (tools can be borrowed) and vegetable picking in the afternoon. The farm is very beautiful.
The housekeeper is polite and attentive. He guides us during check-in and communicates at any time. The room has been ventilated but it still smells like a new decoration. It is ecologically friendly and there are many mosquitoes. Please close the door promptly when entering or exiting.
The actual photos have a simple rural atmosphere, but the overall design has a sense of design, the details are in place, and the aesthetics of life are displayed everywhere. Fanji's furnishings are very tasteful and worth staying and experiencing. You can also watch the moon at night and enjoy the summer night breeze when you go up to the terrace.
Let’s talk about the shortcomings: the breakfast is not rich, there is no swimming pool, it is pet-friendly but the fee is too expensive (cleaning fee is 800 yuan), it is surrounded by Zhengyi Ancient Town, there are few restaurants, and you can also order takeout, so it is suitable for staying in the hotel.

Guest UserI specifically came to see the Dianshan Lake fireworks show, and Aloft was definitely the best spot! Compared to the Sheraton next door, Aloft offers outstanding value for money. The rooms are new and the facilities are modern. The lake view rooms offer an expansive view, allowing you to enjoy the entire fireworks display immersively without even leaving your room. The fireworks show itself was incredibly spectacular.
As a side note for everyone: the lake-view tables at the Sheraton's Chinese restaurant were fully booked on fireworks night, so if you want a window seat, be sure to book well in advance. The food was delicious and worth trying.
I personally saw many friends drive there, and the roads by the lake were severely congested. They were stuck in traffic for two or three hours each way, enduring the summer heat, which was really tough. Choosing to stay at a hotel eliminates the hassle of long-distance traffic jams, allowing you to comfortably watch the fireworks in air-conditioned comfort. All things considered, the value for money is exceptional.
If you want to comfortably and conveniently watch the fireworks show, Aloft should be your first choice. The experience is absolutely top-notch, highly recommended!

RouyuannainaiDuring the Qingming Festival holiday, we made a last-minute decision to go to Zhouzhuang to meet up with our sons.
We booked Puyue Guesthouse on Ctrip. The price was a bit high for a guesthouse, probably due to the holiday.
The guesthouse had its own coffee shop and bar, which instantly made it feel more upscale, haha. Their coffee was pretty good though 👍. The room facilities were all smart, with a large bathtub and even bath bags provided – great attention to detail.
In the morning, we sat on the terrace, enjoying tea and coffee; the air was so fresh.
The downsides were: the power outlets in the room had minor issues, there was significant water leakage under the sink, and we even found chicken bones left behind by a previous guest behind the bedside table 😓. The soundproofing was also a bit poor; we could hear the kids next door making noise at 7 am 😂. Fortunately, the service was excellent; the owner was very kind and responsive.
The guesthouse was very pet-friendly; the Maine Coon cats there were quite plump and very soothing to look at.

The hotel is a standard star business hotel with a distinguished and calm lobby. This is my second time staying here.
The lady at the reception desk was still smiling. When she handed me the door key, she introduced me to the location of the restaurant for breakfast. They specially set up the ”** Room” to satisfy the current residents' hobby of poker and gambling in their spare time. This is more in line with the times. Advance together.
The hotel's service is timely, accurate, and thinks of what you need. This is why I highly recommend it.
I left my PAD in the restaurant while eating. After contacting me, I was told that it could be sent back to my room.
When I returned to the room at night, I not only received the lost and found notebook. I was also given a little surprise: the room attendant polished my muddy leather shoes until they were shiny.
Breakfast is also relatively rich, and the fresh meat is more delicious.

Raph-31Very nice house, the compound feels very like a vacation village, perfect to escape Shanghai for couple of days. We didn't get much occasion to visit around because of the Typhoon but we really liked our time in the house and there is small supermarket 10 minutes walk. Kitchen tools (pots, knifes..) could be refreshed. Service is overall very good.
