"The environment is superb, and the hot springs are also great with not too many people. We booked dinner and breakfast, and the food was fresh and exquisite. The weather was lovely, and there were many unique general stores nearby."

Hakone Kowakien Miyama-furin ★★★★
"Facilities: The Japanese-style room was very spacious. We could add a tatami bed for the kids, which they absolutely loved. Cleanliness: It was clean, and the room had a toilet with a separate wet and dry area. The bathtub was very comfortable for soaking, and all the amenities were well-equipped. Environment: Clean and beautiful. The slope at the entrance was a nice little workout, especially considering the great room rate. Service: Excellent! We could store our luggage and borrow umbrellas."

Hakone Gora Karaku
"Hotel and service are very good."
Rakuten STAY FUJIMI TERRACE Hakone Ashinoko
"The hotel was conveniently located within 3mins walking distance to Moto hakone bus stop. It is easy getting around via the bus but be sure to take note of the bus timing. It is also walking distance to the Tori Gate and Hakone Shrine. From our hotel room, we were happy to be able to see Mouth Fuji throughout our stay there."
COCO VILLA Okuyugawara — Private villa by mountain stream with sauna, surrounded by nature
"Tucked into the foothills of Hakone, in a quiet village along Yugawara Parkway, we found this small villa surrounded by greenery and the sound of a nearby stream. But what stayed with me wasn’t the villa—it was us. The kids ran straight to the deck, reaching out to catch the falling cherry blossom petals as they drifted onto the water, arguing over who caught the most before they slipped through their fingers. Someone left the door open, letting the cool air drift in. By evening, we were all gathered upstairs, half-talking, half-listening to the steady rhythm of the stream below. No one reached for their phones. Later that night, we slept with the windows open. You could hear the water, constant and calming, like it had always been there. It’s strange—places fade, but moments like this don’t. The quiet, the laughter, the feeling of having nowhere else to be. That’s what I’ll remember. "
Gora Hanaougi Madoka No Mori
"The whole experience was a way over my expectations and very comforting to know they can arrange shuttle to pick us up at Gora Station whenever we need. The onsen was unbelievable whether is in the public or private, with the magnificent view! My partner and I were both very satisfied with the spread of food every breakfast and dinner. It truly deserved the 5 stars. We also wanna say a special thanks to Nana & Billy who professionally bring us a smile when they greeted us everyday we were there. Billy made the black tea exceptionally well that gave the most aroma of earl grey I ever had! The varieties of amenities that traditional Ryokan has was amazingly high standard. We will definitely choose to go back if we visit Hakone again no doubt."
Hakone Forest of Verde
"The hotel staff are very helpful and very nice, and they will do their best to serve the guests."
nol hakone myojindai
"Excellent new onsen hotel in Hakone . The staff super friendly and helpful., the ambience and environment are very soothing. We had agreed to stay and highly recommend to those who are driving to Hakone."
Fujiya Hotel
"👍👍 Met expectations. It has a real sense of history and the interiors are beautiful. The hot spring was very relaxing."
Kinnotake Tonosawa
"Public hot springs are suspended. so disappointed"
Hakonehibarino hot spring hotel
"From service to food to atmosphere, everything was top-notch! The attentive and thoughtful service made us feel right at home. The one-night stay with two meals was well worth it; the cuisine was exquisite, creative, and delicious. Enjoying a drink at the bar in the evening, the bartender was professional and patient, and the signature cocktails were truly wonderful. The hotel is filled with artistic flair; the decor and furnishings are tasteful, sophisticated without being ostentatious. Hot springs, gourmet food, fine wines, and aesthetic enjoyment—all in one place—I was extremely satisfied!"
Hakone Retreat Före
"This hotel is located halfway up the mountain, offering a very peaceful environment. It boasts a large hot spring pool and a leisure area where you can read, play chess, or even roast sweet potatoes. The hotel's beverage bar provides complimentary freshly ground coffee and black tea. It's also very convenient for picking up guests from the bus station. The main languages spoken are English and Japanese, but Mandarin communication can also be requested. The freshly made burgers for breakfast are a nice touch; although the variety of dishes isn't extensive, the quality is good. Dinner is quite a ritual, with Western-style courses served one by one starting from the appetizer. The waiter explains each dish as it's served, and the food tastes great too."
Hakonenomori Okada
"It was a nice stay beautiful view from the top. We arrived raining and we left still Raining but aside of that it was a lovely stay. Great experienced."
Hotel Okada
"Reception counter staffs are responsive and helpful when I check in on 25/11/24 as this is my family first trip to Japan Tokyo and hakone .Nice view and nice Osen on the room"
Hakone Ashinoko Hanaori
"The location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. There's a direct shuttle bus from Odawara Station to the hotel. The Pirate Ship and ropeway are just a five-minute walk away. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic. Although the facilities are a bit dated, the atmosphere is very cozy. The buffet dinner, included in the room rate, is extensive and offers a variety of drinks. However, the menu is pretty much the same every day, so after three days, it can get a bit repetitive."
Hatsuhana
"Service, rooms, private hot springs, public pools, and food! Every aspect made us feel comfortable and satisfied 👍"
Kinnotake Sengokuhara
"We were quite worn out by the time we got to this magical place in Hakone and the moment we were taken to our room, the stress just melted away. The spacious and homely expanse made everything feel so cosy including rainfall showers and the piece de resistance of the open air hot spring bath which was so inviting with its milky white waters and the quiet hum of the hot spring water circulating as you look out into the forest in front of you - a quiet, peaceful haven. There is also a very generously stocked mini bar which is completely complimentary which was unexpected. I had a facial as soon as I got to Kinnotake which was performed by the wonderful Misa who had magical hands and who was also multitasking as she checked us in and the process was seamless. The facial and massage itself was luxurious and such a treat - highly recommended after all the travelling that I had done. Later, the Kaiseki meal sets at both dinner and breakfast time are just sensational, beautifully crafted and presented - we were looked after by Yuseke who was fabulous, professional, courteous and also very engaging - we enjoyed chatting to him very much. On our second night, we were looked after by Kobiyashi who was equally professional, kind and very courteous to us. We felt very spoilt and well looked after by the staff at Kinnotake and highly recommend a stay here if you are planning to stay in Hakone. It is a beautiful property with only 9 rooms so you are assured of having privacy, discretion and peace. It is also very well located and placed for easy travel to all the must see sights yet far enough from the madding crowd. I would definitely come back here again as the accommodation is just stunning and the staff are all Excellent and service oriented - very impressive and Thank you to all the team and in particular to Misa, Yuseke and Kobiyashi who made it extra special for us!"
