When you're traveling in Taiwan, you're out and about all day anyway, right? It's perfectly fine if you just need a place to sleep here, even for a nap. There are quite a few good restaurants nearby. There's the Pu-Jie bakery and the Lai Yi Wan beef noodle soup place. If you look them up on Google Maps, there are plenty of highly-rated spots, which is great!"
